This is a nice place but grossly overpriced. I had the lobster bisque and when it was brought to me, I thought they must not have finished filling it. There was only 8 spoonfuls. My crab cakes were good. Everyone like their food, but was surprised how expensive it was. Our server was very good and attentive. I had a gift card so it didn't bother me much, but I probably won't be back too soon.
Excellent as always. Great atmosphere, great service and wonderful overall dining experience.
food was delicious and service was great. Expensive but worth it!
After many years, decided to go back because it was very quaint and food was very good. What a dissapointment! We arrived 10 minutes early, but they wouldn't open the doors to let us in, even to the bar. We were told the bar was quieter than the dining rooms, so accepted a reservation in the bar for four. It seemed like the heat wasn't turned on until we arrived. The waitresses were very attentive. The "local" bar crowd arrived and they were anything but quiet. Lights from a car in the parking area were left on and blinded us for 15 minutes. The pasta was over sauced and too well done. The crab cakes were burned and the sauce was burned alsoand very spicey. The duck was over cooked and dry. The onion soup was 90% Soggy bread, no broth.
The food was really good. The service was horrible it took forever for them to take the order and then she never checked back in on us. She didn't have many tables but seemed overwhelmed and kept jumping around from table to table and couldn't remember anything.
Overall bad experience waitress billed me for another table as well as ours
Valentines diner with my wife. First time at this restaurant. Love the old in atmosphere. Food and service great.
It was great. You can’t beat the tavern menu available in the bar area. 👍
We had a gift certificate we won at Carversville Day. Never was here before so we thought we would try it. It was cool and drafty where we were sitting, but it is a very old house. Food was good waitress got busy with other tables so we had to flag her down. Otherwise it was good.
Always a great place for dinner. The food and service are excellent.
DINE HERE OFTEN ALWAYS FRIENDLY SERVICE, BAR AND RESTAURANT THE SALMON AND RACK OF LAMB FAVORITES GOOD SALADSAND DESERTS NEVER RUSHED
Excellent as usual.
Carversville Inn is a cozy, friendly restaurant in the quaint village of Carversville PA. The food is, and always has been, excellent. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent - our waitress was knowledgeable of the entire menu, and made great suggestions for wine-food pairings. The atmosphere is cozy as the building is probably 200 years old - a great wintertime place to have dinner.
Never disappoints. Delicious as always, and service was perfect.
Enjoyed a great brunch with friends! Great cocktails as well as delicious food. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
First time at Carversville Inn in many years and look forward to returning. Service a bit uneven but nothing egregious. Good food and atmosphere.
I was searching for that special birthday culinary experience and I knew I could trust Carversville Inn to provide the ambience, charm, service, and most notably, the epicurean delight I sought. It far exceeded my expectations and my guest's. We will return!
They need to offer vegetarian entrees, but the food is consistently excellent.
Third or fourth time here and consistently great food and good service. Very nice place to go and a surprise to those who might just stumble onto it. Definitely a special place.
A very nice classic Bucks County historical setting restaurant
We went to the Carversville Inn for my wife's birthday last weekend (just before Christmas). This typically a very challenging time of year for restaurants to handle the holiday crowd. They did a great job. Our food was outstanding. I had the Crab Cakes which were seasoned to perfection and nice and hot. My wife had the Duck which was also done perfectly. The service was not up to the Carversville Inn's usual standards, but that was understandable due to the large number of folks there on the Saturday before Christmas.
Great find and worth the drive! Fresh food and extensive wine menu.
The food was excellent. We had a cozy table by the fireplace that was very cute. The wait staff were polite and service overall was excellent. I had the scallop appetizer and salmon for dinner. I would get both again.
Highly recommend for romantic nights out or even girls night which is what this night was for me.
First time to this quiet, quaint hamlet restuarant. Cozy table by the fireplace with Christmas decorations. Menu had many good choices plus the evenings specials. Our server was nice, the bus staff efficient and the kitchen extremely accomodating as we enjoyed five courses (seven dishes); each crescendoed in complexity.
Outstanding meal; we'll be back!
consistently always good varied menu also have specials rack of lamb and salmon favorites. crab imperial appentizer generaous portion and excelent friendly efficient staff
What a quiet gem. Food was incredible and great for the price.
Food- NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Cccccool baked Brie and the prime rib was tepid.
Wrote the chef on his webmail- not even a response. Just proves he could care less.
We had the scallop appetizer, the Brie appetizer, the lamb entree, the filet mignon entree and peanut butter cheesecake for dessert and every single bite was amazing. Very cool building, great service and cozy ambiance. Was a perfect date night.
Escargot perfectly prepared and definitely delicious! Great entrees and superb service.
Wonderful, quiet, romantic place with delicious food!
