Beautiful restaurant with an interesting and diverse menu for lunch and dinner. Off the beaten track gem. Lovely drive through Buck's County.
We have eaten here before and the food was satisfactory this time, not as good as in the past. We were a little disappointed for the price. Pasta lunch special was very spicy and the sauce was too thick. Our other food was good, but nothing I would rave about. We might try it again, we'll see.
We recently visited the Carversville Inn with friends. Our dinners, all 4 of them, were excellent. Our only complaint was the noise level. After we had eaten our appetizers, a nearby table became very rowdy and noisy, to the point that we could not continue our own conversation. The staff were extremely accommodating and moved us to a quieter spot. I would love to go back for the food and ambience, but I would worry about another noisy experience.
Every course at our table of six was outstanding
We enjoy this place very much! We were just there for our anniversary. If you like Duck, I highly suggest you order it with a good house Bordeaux. The escargot is amazing as well. Great place.
The food was great... filet mignon and the salmon were perfectly cooked. Nice ambiance too.
We were there Saturday night for Bucks County Restaurant Week. Very good menu selections and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere and great service!
Awesome delicious dinner. Everything was beautifully prepared and presented.
Haven't been to the inn for a few years so decided to go with a friend for restaurant week. We sat outside and were one of two tables. Service was good through first course but deteriorated quickly. We waited over a half hour for our second course and had two different staff ask how are salads were to which we responded "we haven't received them yet". Once they arrived, they were nothing to write home about. Messily plated, not arranged, and only 4 small pieces of beet on the beet salad! It took another hour to get our entrees! My scallops were described as being served with chopped tomato and avocado: they were incredibly spicy to the point of not being a part, radiant experience and the wild rice accompaniment was bland, bland, bland. On a positive note, my friends salmon was delicious as were my escargot. Dinner took 3 hours. While it wasn't the best experience for us, give it a try and judge for yourself. I hope it will be a good experience.
My husband and I went during Bucks County restaurant week. Made it date night! Ambiance was very romantic with low lights and candles. Food was superb! Service was very good, competent, friendly and timely. Loved it and will return.
Great food. Great ambience!
We took advantage of the restaurant week prix fixe menu and were very pleased with the variety of selections offered and the portions. My friends visiting from out-of-town for the Shad Fest really enjoyed their first dining experience at what is already one of our favorite places to dine.
Great setting with really good food and excellent service. Nice for a romantic dinner or any special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed!
Friendly and helpful staff. Interesting menu. Cozy atmosphere. Definitely a place we will go to again.
We live 30-40 minutes away but worth the drive...the drive is part of the experience as you travel through Bucks County...out last dinner with friends was good...table ready a little early...ordered in a timely manner....salads came out rather quickly...service good....dinner was DELICIOUS...just seemed to take a ling time from salad to dinner!...
food was plentiful...i had duck...wife had halibut...buddy had lamb...his wife salmon...ALL food was cooked perfectly!...we all enjoy our meals...would be 100% if it didn't take so long...saw other couple come in...order and be served before our meals were del'd....will go back!!!
A long-time neighborhood inn; very popular with locals and visitors alike; consistently good food very well prepared; cozy and friendly bar.
We have been going there for almost 25 years and our very favorite is the roasted duck. The bar is great, wonderful drinks, food is exceptional and the atmosphere is lovely. Better than most NY restaurants (we are native New Yorkers) for half the price and an menu that is exceptional.
dine here frequentky always very good appetizer crab imperial excelllent and enough for 2
lamb and salmon also reccomend very efficient and friendly staff
The food was delicious! However, the service was extremely slow and the waitress continued to forget things we asked for - bread, ice, a wine glass, etc. It took an hour before our order was even taken, and it was an hour and 40 minutes before we got served our meal. We were all pleased with the food we received, but you'd better have a LOT of time on your hands if you plan to eat here. Of course the ambience is excellent and it's plenty quiet to sit and talk. We just were all shocked at how long it took for us to get served.
This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Chief Will is consistently perfect. Great food, atmosphere super staff. If you haven't.....go.
We had to pour our wine a couple of times and it wasn’t that busy. But this is a minor concern. But one that prevented 5 stars in that category. Great place, one of our very favorites. Their duck preparation is amazing and it’s their signature dish. It’s always excellent.
Restaurant Week 3 course meal was an outstanding value.
Carversville Inn is so special. In a cute little town, a beautiful ride. It's very rustic. The crab and the pastrami sandwich were great. We loved sharing it with our friends from Chicago, and they were very impressed.
We started in the pub room with Stacey as our bar keep- as always a delight. Carol was our server and was excellent as we're our appetizers anD entrees.
Love the ambiance! However, very noisy making it difficult to converse with those at your table. Also, be very careful when ordering soup as you would expect it to be hot but not still so hot after 20 mins that you can't enjoy it. Our food was dry, overcooked which was disappointing.
Out for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. Perfect country retreat with superb food.
The food was excellent, as usual. The setting is quiet and intimate - just the way we like it on date night!
This is a nice place but grossly overpriced. I had the lobster bisque and when it was brought to me, I thought they must not have finished filling it. There was only 8 spoonfuls. My crab cakes were good. Everyone like their food, but was surprised how expensive it was. Our server was very good and attentive. I had a gift card so it didn't bother me much, but I probably won't be back too soon.
Excellent as always. Great atmosphere, great service and wonderful overall dining experience.
food was delicious and service was great. Expensive but worth it!
After many years, decided to go back because it was very quaint and food was very good. What a dissapointment! We arrived 10 minutes early, but they wouldn't open the doors to let us in, even to the bar. We were told the bar was quieter than the dining rooms, so accepted a reservation in the bar for four. It seemed like the heat wasn't turned on until we arrived. The waitresses were very attentive. The "local" bar crowd arrived and they were anything but quiet. Lights from a car in the parking area were left on and blinded us for 15 minutes. The pasta was over sauced and too well done. The crab cakes were burned and the sauce was burned alsoand very spicey. The duck was over cooked and dry. The onion soup was 90% Soggy bread, no broth.
The food was really good. The service was horrible it took forever for them to take the order and then she never checked back in on us. She didn't have many tables but seemed overwhelmed and kept jumping around from table to table and couldn't remember anything.
Overall bad experience waitress billed me for another table as well as ours
Valentines diner with my wife. First time at this restaurant. Love the old in atmosphere. Food and service great.
It was great. You can’t beat the tavern menu available in the bar area. 👍
We had a gift certificate we won at Carversville Day. Never was here before so we thought we would try it. It was cool and drafty where we were sitting, but it is a very old house. Food was good waitress got busy with other tables so we had to flag her down. Otherwise it was good.
Always a great place for dinner. The food and service are excellent.
DINE HERE OFTEN ALWAYS FRIENDLY SERVICE, BAR AND RESTAURANT THE SALMON AND RACK OF LAMB FAVORITES GOOD SALADSAND DESERTS NEVER RUSHED
Excellent as usual.
Carversville Inn is a cozy, friendly restaurant in the quaint village of Carversville PA. The food is, and always has been, excellent. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent - our waitress was knowledgeable of the entire menu, and made great suggestions for wine-food pairings. The atmosphere is cozy as the building is probably 200 years old - a great wintertime place to have dinner.
