Nice atmosphere, good food, great service. Will definitely bring friends here.
The Carlile was great! The service was outstanding, they really went above and beyond the norm to make sure our meal was perfect. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options, really nice beer selection too!
Great experience, food and service. Always our go to place in Seattle.
A great brunch place. Friendly efficient staff and great brunch options.
Absolutely fabulous experience. Great food, beautiful restaurant and location. My waitress went out of her way to make my experience uniquely memorable. Very grateful for having visited.
We eat here often. The food is interesting and always well prepared. Servers are super friendly and always willing to accommodate. Food quality is outstanding. Always a great meal and good time.
This was the 2nd time we have been here, and we really like it. Our waitress was OUTSTANDING, and the food, good. Our friends who went with us LOVED their meals - and I am sure they will be back, as will we.
Great spot to visit prior to any show located at the Paramount theater. Fantastic staff (Shout out to James!!!) and great food. The giant rainbow plate (mini portions of 5 of their veggie apps) is a must & can double down as a (large) entree. The "smaller" entree sizes do not disappoint & the drinks are very well executed. Bar is first come first serve and can easily be packed to capacity, noise levels rise quickly due to (usually) excitement prior to or after shows (in this case Brit Floyd), definitely somewhere to check out even if just for drinks!!!
Had a wonderful evening, Ann helped me with a cab after the dhow at the Paramount which just made me so much more relaxed.. Had a couple of beers and a cheese plate.. watched the Seattle ambiance,, was a lovely Birthday, thanks all at the Carlile
My family and I went before seeing Wicked!
Pre show dinner...fantastic. Fava Beans and Morels, Pho french fries. Yum!
We went following a Sunday matinee at the Paramount. We had the stuffed baby squash flowers and radiatore pasta. The food was well-prepared, and the service was excellent. We had a window table, and enjoyed watching the pedestrians without feeling like we were in a fishbowl.
This was the second time we've been to The Carlile Room. This go round, I'd made reservations a couple of months in advance (because of its location, it gets crowded with theater goers). This night, traffic was horrid trying to get to Seattle. The staff had held our reservation (because we'd called), were friendly, fast and accommodating even though the place was crowded. The orders were taken quickly, the food arrived shortly and by the end of dinner my stress was gone and we entered into the rest of the evening in a positive frame of mind. That was completely because of how awesome Carlile's staff is - from the front desk to the servers to the manager.
I enjoy that the chefs create menus that are inspired by whatever show is going on at the theater. The regular menu has adequate choices without being overwhelming as well. The prices are along the lines of other higher-end restaurants in the city and the quality is as well. I'm fairly sure this will be our "go to" each time we catch a show, and become part of our evening on the town.
Great place to eat and enjoy a different menu. Food was outstanding. Not the fastest service - we sat for 15 minutes before asked for our drink order. Went there before a show at the Paramount. Arrived at 5:45 (ontime), we were seated right away but the wait for service was not very good. Didn't get out of there until 7:20pm and we were not sitting around chatting. We will go back because the food and drinks are OUTSTANDING! But we will go at least 2.5 hours before a show or go without any later plans.
Delicious food, good cocktails, extremely slow service. Wicked was playing at the Paramount, so it became quite crowded, but even with the crowd I have a problem with waiting for my food for two hours after ordering. Then when we asked the server (very nicely, I might add) if we could get our check with the dessert because we had tickets to the show and were going to be late she replied, “yeah, you and everyone else here.” Though she did fulfill that request, the snark was completely unnecessary, embarrassed me, and we barely made it into the show on time. All in all, the delicious food and proximity to the theatre earns this place its stars. I’d probably go back only if I was seeing a show again, and even then I’d be hesitant due to such slow service and rudeness.
We had an enjoyable mother-daughter brunch prior to walking across the street to the Paramount Theatre and Wicked performance. We had the steak salad and split the giant mimosa ...perfect combination! We had a great booth by the window and enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere.
Love the cell phone check in. Got lost trying to locate it (from out of town). Staff was fabulous waiting on our arrival and kept our table for us.
The Coconut Cream Pie is out of this world!!!! Would go back just for that!
So convenient to the Paramount too!
The Carlile Room has become our go to spot before going to the paramount. The food are service are consistently excellent. My friends had a wide variety of menu selections, from the homemade potato chips to kale and beet salads, duck mousse, steak, cod and chicken. All were as beautiful as they were delicious. We always have the highest expectations when we walk into the Carlile...and they are always met.
Creative menu that was a bit out of our normal box, but everything we tried was very well balanced and tasty. Though they were rocking, the service was very friendly and attentive. The staff covered for each other as needed to make sure patrons got all the attention they might need. Everyone also seemed to genuinely care about our experience dining with them as well. It was a lot of fun. We will return for sure.
Really, really good food and cocktails! We were seeing a play at the Paramount Theatre and this was just steps away. Would highly recommend!
Fresh, creative, delicious
The french toast was divine! Great location if you're attending a show at The Paramont.
Wedding anniversary brunch. Literally best breakfast my wife & I have had in years. The French toast sticks were out of this world. We are huge T Douglas fans. We will be back!
Anniversary and complimentary champagne! Everything was amazing. Incredible service
It was a great experience start to finish.
Outstanding as usual! I have been to this restaurant a lot of times and every time there is something different and delicious on the menu! Desi is a genius!
A great spot for lunch/dinner before the theater -- whether it's the Paramount (across the street), 5th Avenue or ACT. My dining companion and I had Sunday lunch (they also serve brunch on weekends) before a matinee and enjoyed delicious burgers, salad and a pitcher of mimosas. Great start to a fun afternoon!
Lovely place with excellent service. Food here is delicious but the quantity could have been a bit more!
Would recommend curried fries, radiatori pasta and coconut pie as the desert.
Great place to grab a bit to eat and drink before heading over to the Paramount. Grab reservations early !
So conveniently located near the Paramount Theater, it’s the perfect place for a pre-show dinner. Also, how awesome is it to eat five or six dishes—all of them it’s complex and sophisticated flavor profiles—and realize after the fact that we just ate a 100% vegetarian meal. We didn’t even miss not ordering a single meat dish. Fantastic!
Thomas Douglas with a twist of Brandi Carlile makes for a lovely dinner and drinks destination. Excellent service and a menu just limited enough to keep you focused on your dinner date and not your dinner options.
Our experience at The Carlile Room for my 40th birthday celebration was spectacular. When we arrived, they showed us to our table and there was a special birthday note and the service was amazing! And the food...phenomenal. What an experience...we can't wait to come back!
Rottissorie Chichen and the Steak with the carrot appetizer. Each was really good even the chicken that was dressed with a unique taste. My date had their named cocktails. Strong enough for a laying buzz. It was a good night.
Such an amazing place! Like every other Tom Douglas establishment, the food, service and overall experience cannot be beat.
This was our first visit to The Carlile Room and we enjoyed every aspect of the dinner. The staff was well informed, attentive, friendly and personable, the food was creative, well seasoned, well cooked, and overall totally excellent, and the restaurant space is well designed.
We've been fans of many other Tom Douglas restaurants over the last two decades, and TCR follows in his well-established tradition of quality food, quality staff, and quality restaurant design.
Delicious food. We enjoyed a burger and rotisserie chicken. Tasted fresh and portions were generous. Coconut Cream pie was a great way to finish.
Great place pre or post show. Nice setting and good food. Hostess service is a bit aggravating. Bar/table service is great. Evan is awesome!!!
Awesome as always!! Our go to before the theater. Highly recommend
We always enjoy a pre Paramount performance here. The food is excellent and the staff add a special quality- they have become like family over the years! Thank you Carolyn and Devon- your smiles make the commute from Olympia worth it!
