The Captain's Table
Well, I love Captains Table for lunch and Pineapple Mojitos. They are fantastic!!!
Outstanding food! Excellent waitress named Angelina!’ Beautiful Sunset viewed right from our table!!
We were promptly seated and had a great view of harbor from the window. Service was quick and she answered all questions well. Everyone had grouper sandwich but different ways - grilled, fried, blackened. All were good. Blackened spicing was mild.
We went for the Mother's Day buffet. Premium priced but, for the most part the food was good. They did struggle a bit with keeping the platters of food full. Our server was excellent.
We were very disappointed in the quality of the prime rib, it was tasteless, as well as the chicken. Dessert choice was poor. Way to much money for such an under ordinary meal for a special occasion.
Have enjoyed the Captain"s Table for many years, sadly with the new changes to the area and parking problems its just not the same.
Amazing Mother's Day Buffet. Food was excellent along with remarkable service.
Food looked great but meats and fish were over cooked and dry.
AWESOME BUFFET FOR MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!
Mothers Day buffet was great! Food, service and location - all fantastic. Large holiday crowd was handled quickly and professionally. The surprise Mothers Day rose was a perfect touch.
Food was disappointing, drinks weak and tasteless. View was wonderful. Not worth the money. Won’t bother going back.
I have recommended several people to this establishment. We’ve been here many times. It’s always unpredictable, but Saturday night was the worst. The Thai Calamari appetizer has continued to decline in quality. I ordered the bacon wrapped steak as my entree, and this is the third time I’ve been told that they’re “out”. Decided on the ribeye. Took four grissely bites, and threw it in a construction bin on our way out of fisherman’s village. The view is incredible but, sadly, we will not be referring or returning.
Enjoyable dinner, prime rib was excellent. Hard a wonderful and uneventful experience. I’ll be eating there more often.
The view was great, food was fantastic and our server, Ari was outstanding! We will definitely be back!
I love the view of the river and the grilled cheese lobster sandwich is the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had!
Food always good here lunch or dinner, service no complaints, very friendly and courteous. Only lil complaint is cleanliness, chairs had dried food and rice on them, floor had some dead lovebugs but hey, there was an infestation all over that day. They are a little pricey so they should do better job cleaning the place.
We sat outside and enjoyed the view including a lovely sunset.
Service was great.
Took a bit long for food to arrive and when it did, only one plate of food arrived nice and hot (the salmon). The rest was just warm at best. The wait for the food would have been no big deal of the plates arrived hot and yummy. Potatoes were awful — room-temp, and a some-what hard lump on plate. They tasted like left-overs. Everyone’s fish was good... the salmon being the best. No one thought much of the potatoes and all were disappointed in this side. A poor side is like wearing old work shoes with your Sunday best... sloppy and diminishes your Sunday best.
We’ve have been to the CT in years. We will go again.
Good food and service. Very warm. Uncomfortable
Our daughter was visiting from Ohio - We had a great lunch - service was VERY good.
Will be back.
Great restaurant. Great food. Great location. Would definitely highly recommend.
We had our 50th anniversary celebration at the Captains Table. The server was there if we needed anything but left us alone. We would definitely go back again.
Darn lovebugs kept us inside but the restaurant is looking in need of an update. The windows dirty. Tables and chairs old. Very dreary and bare.
Margaret is an exceptional server, bright, enthusiastic, humorous, professional.
A swanky joint. I did not expect the classy ambiance when the elevator door opened. Start to finish, the meal was perfect. Try the coconut vinaigrette on your salad. House made and i could have drank the whole thing down. Lobster tail was excellent, key lime pie as good as i've had in while. We sat by the window, but it still wasn't hot and there are shades to pull down if it does get too warm. We enjoyed the view of Charlotte Harbor. Don't confuse Harpoon Harry's, which is down stairs and more touristy. This is a totally different atmosphere.
Ambiance and food great. Our server Evan was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant and try to get in Evan's service area.
Disappointed with limited luncheon menu.
Did not feel food was as high quality as it was on our last visit about two years ago.
Food and cocktails were delicious. Waitstaff outstanding. No better place in SW Florida to see the sunset.
Marvelous experience! Came for our anniversary and loved it! Very positive overall. Only comment was the seafood platter, which was ordered blackened, didn't seem very blackened. The coconut mahi mahi was just superb!
Our evening was Outstanding! Too windy to sit outside, but the large bar table was perfect for our group of six . We dine hear every April as a group before we return North for the summer . The bartender/waiter Evan made our evening even better . Every meal was outstanding. See you in the fall when we return .

Could hardly move the seats. That seats and table quite used and was surprised at the condition of them with the great changes to the restaurant
Lobster sandwich delicious. View of harbor & boats entertaining, sitting on patio lovely, music a bit loud for conversing as we were sitted below speaker. Have visited before & will again.
Easter Sunday Buffet
We went for the Easter Brunch. Though the food was delicious, I would not go again to this particular
Amazing service and best sunset view in town.
Tuna tartare was amazing, and so was the beet salad. Main dishes were good, but portions were a tad small (grouper, sea bass), and not overly spectacular for the price.
We'll eat here again, but probably with guests for sunset, or lunch.
i put in for that we were there for someone b day no said any to me about who b day it was or if we like them to do for the b day person not to happy about that the table next to us had a b day dad an he was song happy b day but not are table so not to happy with the place
We've been the the Captain's table 3-4 times, and in previous experiences it was outstanding. Not so much this time. This time, something was off? We ordered the calamari without the thai sauce, and (maybe because of that) it was overcooked and hard. The Caesar salad's (we both ordered) had a VERY strong vinegar "bite" to them. Husband didn't mind, I couldn't eat mine. My husband ordered the special of the night (prime rib), and it was good. I ordered the "Captain's Platter", and was very disappointed. It states sauteed crab meat (not shredded)?, the fish was overcooked to the point of crusty on edges. the shrimp was overcooked and hard and potatoes were cold, but the scallops and asparagus were good. I don't know what happened?, new cook? On a side note, the waitress (having been a waitress myself) was very good, but when dealing with a couple, and being female herself, should probably have paid As Much attention (if not more) to the female she's serving instead of the male. just a tip, that always worked for me. I also noticed (that night) a gentleman at the next table who I believe had ordered the same as me, and was not satisfied with his meal either?
The staff is always attentive with great recommendations. I have been several times and the seafood is always prepared to perfection. done just right with light complementary sauces or seasonings.
My husband, friends and I have always enjoyed visiting The Captain's Table for lunch or dinner. The food is always delicious and the service is prompt and friendly.
A go to restaurant for a special dining experience.
