What a treat! Fooddelicious, many raves from all 6 people. Lunch had many diff choices and decor had been updated. Atmosphere - calming colors and quiet condusive to talking across table. Of course sunshine and view of water were terrific. We will come again!
Limited selection of food options but everything was delicious.
Went with friends...had great table, great service great food!
I had the crab cakes for an appetizer, which was delicious. Full of crabmeat, sweet corn which offset the heat from small bits of jalapeño which was yummy. I also had the ahi tuna which was very good, lobster risotto was ok needed more lobster. My husband had the prime rib which was good we both had asparagus which was ok
Our waitress, Miss Margaret, made our evening terrific. We made reservation on Open Table and this time we had a reserved table waiting. A young man greeted us and we were immediately seated. Food was delicious and served in timely manner. Sunset gorgeous. We noted that people near us were having the same service issue we had last time...wait staff not knowing there tables.
This is a wonderful spot but service can be hit or miss. We had a gem this time!
Friend from out of town loved the water view. We enjoyed the menu options.
Great view, great food, great service.....who could ask for more?
Will certainly return as soon as possible.
Our server, Karen, was outstanding. She was the brightest and only star of our evening. When I complained about my martini which I had ordered as being “extra dry”, the second one from the bartender was equally bad. Karen to the rescue. She had been a bartender she reported and proceeded to make me an extra dry martini as it was meant to be (with no charge for the bartender’s second attempt). As for the food, 2 of us had the filet mignon and the other 2 had fish. The snapper that was served, rather than being flaky, was actually hard as if it had been heated in a microwave. Upon complaint, that meal wasn’t charged. We have eaten at The Captain’s previously but other than Karen, this experience was quite lackluster.
I brought 5 friends who had never been there and was disappointed that it took so long to even
have the waitress come for drinks. You were not that busy. I had talked it up how great it was and then the wait. She was better after one of the other ladies finally got her attention. The new décor was very nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals and loved the view.
Good food, great service, beautiful view! Great place to bring out of town guests.
We have returned to your restaurant 3 times in the last few months, bringing friends & sending vacation guests. The food, service & ambiance since you have remodeled is fabulous. Our waiter Joe had a great sense of humor & he made our night special.
Both my wife and I ordered the Captains Plagter and ordered it grilled. It was excellent . The server was knowledgeable and very professional. I will definitely go back.
Captain's Table has improved the ambiance SO MUCH! The food is good, and most of the staff is well-trained. The coconut vinaigrette is yummy!
It took an hour to have our meal delivered after placing the order. One at our table ordered a salad which was old and slime and returned ....they graciously removed it from our bill. Probably be a long time before we go back there again
We had a 7:45 reservation. They were busy, but There were empty tables, and yet they asked if we could wait the 40 minutes or so until our reservation. By the time we were seated they were no longer busy. We ordered appetizers, salad and dinner. The waitress promised to space the arrival of each course. After 20-30 minutes wait, she brought our salads with an apology that the appetizers were not yet ready. Well after we finished the salads, the appetizers finally came and the crab cakes were almost cold. She brought the manager who apologized and promised to remove the crab cakes from our bill. Dinner finally arrived and we left immediately after dinner, which was almost 2 hours after our reservation. We weren’t in a hurry, but service was too slow by anyone’s standards. The food was delicious in spite of late arrival.
We were entertaining out of town friends (5) and it was our first time at the restaurant. We really liked the ambiance, had a reservation. Went to the bar to order drinks while waiting for table. Took 10 min for bartender to ask what we wanted. We asked for a wine list and waited another 20 min...he never came back to get the order. Went to our table. Ordered the drinks and champagne along with appetizers. Waited 45 minutes for entree. No one stopped to let us know why so long. Finally asked a busboy to check on our meals. He came back and said the kitchen is backed up. Neither the waiter. nor manager kept us apprised of the status of our meal. The food was mediocre. Very disappointing service for a $300+ tab.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. Restaurant very busy, late for our reservation & slow start for service but manager stepped in to help put water - great martini!
Staff always very accommodating , food always good. Nice ambience with great views of the Harbor. The kitchen is very, slow so if your in a hurry forget it. They get your meal right though so not in a rush enjoy.
Our waiter was wonderful and the food was great. Our drinks were made perfectly but the bar service has always been slow. I have been there for a ladies luncheon, New Years Eve and have never disappointed.
Like the piano player but the appreciation is so limited in area, you only hear her when you are waiting to be served or sitting at the bar. Disappointed that they no longer have the salad bar.
Great place to meet friends for lunch and dinner. Haven’t been disappointed yet.
Always a great choice. Great food and view! Waterfront. Service by waiter this time was so so but he may have been new at it.
Worst service ever. Our server literally disappeared for 30 minutes and we had to go looking for him. The table next to us was seated at least 15 minutes after us, but were finished with their meal by the time our entrees arrived. To top it off the manager indicated that this was normal service and the next we should tell them if we are in a hurry (we were not in a hurry but 1.5 hours to get an entree is rediculous)
Needless to saw there will not be a next time. Both the server and the manager could benefit from some customer service training.
All three of us ordered seafood dishes and there was not a single complaint. Our server was gracious and personable.
We had a party of 6, our waiter was on it! My Salmon was nice, but not exceptional. My wife’s yellowfin tuna was excellent. My friend had an steak and it was well prepared and a good cut.
Made the reservation for Easter Sunday as we would be in Florida. We were disappointed when we checked in that it was buffet only and could not order from the menu.
We did stay but it was not worth the price we paid.
We liked their other restaurant much better located downstairs and dined their twice.
We had a great Easter dinner here on April 1st . We had family from out of town as well as local. They had a great buffet with lots of variety. Our server was attentive, but our drinks were slow coming. My family really enjoyed it too , although it was a little pricey. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Open Table is a great way to request a reservation.
Excellent service! The food was great! Would highly recommend!
Excellent service and meal!
We have gone to the Captains table a number of times in the past but things have changed since the remodel. After the remodel they also changed their menu, most notably in the area of pricing. The prices have gone up significantly. To make things worse, they have reduced portion sizes as well. The quality of the food was ok but it wasn't good enough for the high cost and small portions. I recommend the Laishley Crab House as a much better value.
Great experience and easy to work with on reservations. The sunset from the back patio was perfect for our special occasion. Appetizers, salads, ribeyes all great.
The dinner was delicious. The service and the waitress, Shelby were exceptional!
Our party of four had one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The cobia was excellent, the scallops were amazing and our waiter Ari was the best. I definitely plan to return in the future.
Let me start with We have been to the captains table many times and this is the first bad experience. They took the salad bar away raised the prices and we waited from our 7:30 appointment till almost 8 to get waited on and did not get our food till almost 9. We were not the only to complain about long wait for food guess they should include at least a side salad for the increase in wait time and price.
The ambiance was terrific. The food was mediocre with a nice presentation. Two people ordered chowder that arrived tepid and congealed. Was sent back and returned okay. Rest of food was average but not delicious. The service however was abysmal. Our server was absent most of the time and when he arrived sporatically it was very rushed. We had to go to the reception desk at the end of the evening to try to pay our bill as the server never came back to our table. We had to wait another 10 minutes while the receptionist tried to locate our server.
There were six of us in our group and every one of us enjoyed our meals tremendously! Excellent food! Service was great and you can't beat the view. Well done and thanks!
Celebrating anniversary. Server was friendly and attentive. Asked if we could have the Shrimp and Grits in a half order. She checked with the chef and he agreed to do it. Were treated to a very nice dessert acknowledging our anniversary.
My friend and I had dinner here as a way of celebrating his 55th birthday. The food was excellent, the ambience very nice and Margaret our weight person was both Friendly and very courteous.
As a party of 4 we all felt rushed. The server was trying to make room on the table for the Entrees although we were still eating appetizers. The view was spectacular and we thank you for that. The food presentation impressive & delious
Food is always very good, oysters were exceptional this year. Love the ambience!
We didn’t get the window seating we requested, but the 2 tiers gives everyone a view. The salmon was excellent, the steak tender and juicy. We’re never disappointed.
