Perfect setting & were able to accommodate us one hour earlier than we had booked. Food was delicious and worth the wait. Would definitely recommend and come again next time we visit the area.

Been here multiple times. Food is always very well made, worth the slight premium over other local chain pubs. The soft play for kids makes it a winner every time. Huge recommendation to anyone with a sweet tooth.... Get the'splice the main brace' dessert! It's a huge Sunday with brownie, profiteroles,popcorn, m&m's etc. big hit with the kids (and the big kids)

We eat here regularly, the menu is extensive and everything we’ve tried has always been excellent. The staff are very friendly and efficient. If you want something a little less heavy try the chicken Caesar salad, very good. All the portions are generous and well worth the money. The specials are worth a try too, can’t fault the Digby, would highly recommend it .

Have been coming here for 15 years, it has always been my favourite restaurant (even though we live an hour and a half away) because the food was consistently good quality. So I chose to come here for my birthday, but this time was really disappointed. Ordered steak (as last time I had a steak there years ago, it was the best steak I've ever had!), but sadly this time it was tough and chewy and overcooked. The staff did kindly replace it, and the next was cooked better, but still flavourless. The mushrooms on the side tasted of water, my son and other half agreed they were the worst mushrooms they'd ever tried. It's the first time I've had a mushroom I didn't like! There was no coleslaw, so staff offered salad as a replacement, but it was a really basic bland salad. Though my other half and daughter did enjoy their burgers - but they said it was 'good' and not amazing. Service was very slow also, despite it not being busy. Though the staff were nice when they did get to us. Such a shame, as this place had always been somewhere I could rely on for quality, but not anymore. I certainly won't be recommending it to everyone anymore. Last night was very disappointing

We had a lovely meal yesterday at the Captain Digby for my Mother in Law's 70th. The food was very delicious and the perfect portion (for reference, we had fish and chips!). What made it really special was we had balloons tied to our table... the little things really do matter. Thank you to the staff!

Beautiful location and very good service. The food was just adequate. I think they try too hard to make it special when it's really just a pub
