   Unenthusiastic server who didn’t seem interested in wanting us to have a good experience, including when my friend informed him that her steak was over-cooked. Usually a nice spot, but for the price, we expected better service.

   Our waiter was preoccupied with another table to the point our food was brought out by the bus boys. It was cold, had to be sent back. When it was delivered we had no steak knives, we were still having our soup it was awful. I can’t comment on the food as our experience was ruined by a waiter that was preoccupied with a woman eating alone. Perhaps a Mom dining with her 2 sons is a less important customer? I may go back here but would request another waiter as other diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. For $100 pp meal I should never have to flag down a waiter. We actually had to ask another waiter for a lime for our drink. Awful experience due to poorly trained waiter

   Tony Parvin is awesome as a waiter ! He knows the menu and suggests a perfect entree everytime . The attire of many patrons was abysmal! They looked like street urchins in dirty hoodies and jeans ! Where the Hell have our standards dropped to?

   For all the hype, I wasn't overly impressed. It was good of course, no complaints at all, but I wasn't over the moon and someplace I just have to come back to over and over. The place is small, dark, and old tavern type décor, if you like this feel. The service was great. We ordered a 'special', the Waygu steak and for $120 I've cooked better steak at home. The other food ordered was good. Ill go back again and do recommend this place, but I just wasn't blown away. Perhaps I need to try other food options and Ill get there! ;)

    Food was up to par. Server was very good. My issue was with the hostesses. We were stuck in DC traffic and called the restaurant to tell them we were running late. They said “no problem, we will see you when you get here.” We showed up 18 minutes late for our reservation and were told they gave our table away because they had a 15 minute grace period. I realize I showed up outside of the 15 minute window, but they should have told me when I called that they were going to give our table away. When i mentioned this to the hostess, she was argumentative and said we called too late… then changed her story and said she wasn’t the one who answered the phone. No apology or anything. It’s just the entire way they handled the situation that turned me off. I don’t need an attitude and a semi argument at the hostess stand when I’m getting ready to drop $600 on a dinner. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Too many other options that don’t treat you like you’re doing them a favor by eating at their establishment.

    We ordered the filet, brussels sprouts, and lobster mac - all of the food was cooked to perfection. The crab cakes appetizer was delicious, as well. Our server, Tyler, was fantastic! Very attentive and friendly. We sat in the bar lounge, would recommend if you want to watch any games on the TV!

    I consider myself a regular at The Capital Grille. This experience was good but not excellent - definitely a step below the usual in terms of food and service. But I'll certainly give it another shot.

    We went for New Years Eve and it was absolutely amazing. Joey was our server and he was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. He’s a veteran server and his attention to detail was exemplary. I’m also in the hospitality industry and it’s not often I get to experience things from this POV but I was was absolutely impressed and will be back. Bravo and please extend my gratitude to the entire kitchen staff for an outstanding meal!
