The Capital Grille - Tysons Corner Ratings and Reviews
This is a favorite. We have many birthday celebrations for lunch with friends. We love Jose' our waiter and they are so professional, friendly and accommodating from reservations to requests to greeting as we come in the door. We know it is a winner everytime. And, BTW, their 'sister' restaurant Eddie V's does the same great food and service. These guys know how to create a wonderful dining experience. Capital Grille is terrific...and that Lobster Salas a favorite...6 or us ordered that and were delighted!
Very nice atmosphere, old wood and oil paintings, but no need to bring out a suit unless you feel like it. Excellent food, had raw oysters followed by an outstanding steak paired with a good wine. The staff was very good, starting with the valet parking all the way thru to desert with the servers. Overall a great evening. Expect to spend $150 to $200 for two people to dine.
As always, the Capital Grille at Tysons Corner provided outstanding food with friendly service. My wife ordered the salmon and it was done perfectly. I decided to try their cheeseburger and it was excellent. I normally order one of their specials, but deviated this time. We have never been disappointed at the Capital Grille.
It's been a while since we've been here, but they still do a fantastic job! It was my son's first experience at a high end steak house and was the start to an evening out with family - dinner followed by Les Miz. Walter, our "guide" for the evening, exemplified why the meal is only part of the experience. He stopped by frequently, but not to the point where it was intrusive and talk about more than just the menu and can I take your order/get you something. My son is in his first year of French in school and Walter, being a native french speaker, talk to him and joked with him and just made the experience a great first memory of this kind of dining - including ending the evening with Congratulations in chocolate on the dessert plate. The rest of the support team was as awesome as ever and we were never left waiting. Food was outstanding
as always, we even ventured out of the norm with the Burrata salad which now leaves us in a quandry - what do we get next time...
Highly recommend the Capital Grille - I've been to BLT, Prime, Ruth Chris, Morton's, del Campo and others, and, in my opinion, few live up to the experience and food at the Capital Grille.
Customer Service? Non-existent. Food preloaded as ordered? No,overdone. Did management check in to verify that the kitchen delivered the meal as ordered, even though they were aware and put in the order? No! Did management verify the meal was over cooked? Yes. The meal was a disaster as a culinary and customer service experience. Capital Grill should be embarrassed.
It is our go to restaurant alone or with friends. Usually the service is impeccable. However, Saturday night our waiter was not up to par. He quoted us the price for a bottle of wine that was twice what it was. He also disappeared for rather long periods. We will make sure we do not get him again
we had an extraordinary evening. It was a 70th birthday celebration with family members. The pace of service was geared to our needs and the food was outstanding. The staff had a card signed by them on the table when we arrived and served a special dessert with a candle plus two others for everyone to share. In addition, champaign was served for a toast!! The card, dessert and champaign were a complete surprise. If you want extraordinary food and service, this is the place!
Food is high quality. The salad with seared tuna I had on my last visit was okay, but was not as good as a similar salad at Great American restaurants like Artie’s or Sweetwater. The ambiance is better for a business lunch.
Servers are attentive, but there seems to be a coordination problem. I have been there twice recently and on both occasions there were two servers who asked about beverages at the beginning of the meal and two different ones who asked at the end. Better to have too much service than too little, but the second ask for beverages was distracting in that we ordered beverages from the first server who asked.
