We eat here frequently. This time it was to enjoy the Wagyu and wine pairings. The burgers and fries were perfect and the wine phenomenal. The wait staff is always attentive and very knowledgeable about all items on the menu. Definitely a wonderful dining experience

I’m usually a five star rater for Capital Grille the service never disappoints.
The food this time was underwhelming. I got the scallops and the waiter told me it was a good choice and he was wrong.
The mushroom risotto was mushy and bland and the scallops were salty (and I’m a salt lover)
I guess I’ll stick to steak when I go as I’m never disappointed

As arguably one of the best restaurants in the area, we were disappointed when a specially requested dish served to us in the dining room but usually reserved for the bar, was so salty it was inedible. Service was exceptional and the issue handled with aplomb, although after the fourth manager arrived at our table asking how everything was, it became a little annoying. Issues aside, this is a wonderful restaurant and one I highly recommend.

Perfect birthday dinner. Requests accommodated seamlessly. Excellent food and outstanding service. Marcello is one of the best servers around. A bonus is the ambiance and ability to have a conversation in the main dining room. Friends have used the private dining room and have rave reviews for the special attention given to special occasions. Finally a great restaurant in McLean. The only downside is finding your way to the front door in the craziness of Tysons. It's worth the effort.

We had the Wagyu and Wine special. This is a must not miss treat. A choice of three great wine, Caymus Cabernet, Bella Glois Pinot Noir, and Emmolo Merlot. We dine here frequently. The wait staff takes excellent care of us. The food is always perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend the Capital Grille

This is our favorite restaurant. The Wagyu and Wine pairing is a must try. The burgers and truffle fries are absolutely phenomenal and not to be missed. The wine pairings are three excellent choices. Our waiter has served us many times and anticipated our entire order. We always feel like royalty when we have dined at the Capital Grille

The meal I ordered was not cooked to my requested preference. It was not tasteful to me and I struggled to eat just a portion of it. I am confident that this was just an isolated experience. Also, when the waiter filled up our water glasses again, he mixed them up. We weren't sure who's was who's. Therefore, we unable to have any more water for the rest of the meal.

We had the most amazing meal Saturday night! Our waiter recommended not ordering appetizers for our group of four - he suggested "tomahawk" rib eye steaks with lobster tails and crab-stuffed giant shrimp, and ordering sides, for all of us - it was a beautiful presentation with the big beef bone with the huge steaks attached and sliced and done perfectly, the melt-in-your mouth lobster and the delicious stuffed shrimp! With two sides it was more than enough and those giant bones went home to a little white poodle! Each couple shared a more than ample dessert - an absolutely grand meal and a totally wonderful, delicious and lively meal!

Barely any time between bread service and appetite presentation. Felt rushed. Sams mashed potatoes lackes salt. A one sauce was watered down and needed replacement.

Michael is a phenomenal server! We always come in after a particularly horrible and stressful day at the office, and Michael always promises to make it "all ok", and boy does he do just that! We came in on Tuesday this week stressed up to our eye balls, and after 1.5 hours with Michael we were smiling ear to ear, beyond happy! We would also like to give a shout out to Michael the bar tender who makes such delicious drinks, and quickly (because that's how we need them) and Roberto who keeps our table spotless and is always smiling! I can't take a sip of water before my glass is refilled again. I have never been in the habit of requesting a busser before, but I am now! If we don't have Roberto bussing now, we ask for him special. We love him.
Can't wait for another horrible day at the office so we can come back again!

This is the place for top notch beef ! Always cooked to perfection.
Celebrated a birthday - found a card signed by restaurant staff and some table glitter decorations at our booth ! Nice touch.
Our server's name was Coach and he made the whole experience fun with his recommendations, lively conversation, and personal attention.

This was a wonderful experience. It was our anniversary and everyone we talked to wished us a happy anniversary. The table was decorated and the staff all signed a card for us. The service was outstanding! Everything came at exactly right time every time. The food was tremendous as well. We ordered shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were large and flavorful. My wife had French onion soup which was delicious if not a little small. I had the blue cheese and smoked bacon wedged salad and it was delicious. For a main I had the Kona crusted bone in strip and omg it was good. It had to be the most tender NY I have ever had. It was like a filet and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the scallop risotto and while I didn't try it, she said it was excellent. At the end of the meal the server brought out a complimentary dessert for us which I believe was miniature versions (still plenty big enough after a huge meal) of the flower less chocolate cake and creme brûlée cheesecake. Man the creme brûlée was good.

Honestly, my wife and I have been coming to Capital Grills for our anniversary for the past 7 straight years and have eaten at them in several locations in Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, and now Tysons and this was probably the best experience we have had with them. More than pleased!

I drove the day before to see exactly where our table (of 10) would be and was told not to worry we would be in a spot in the back and the Sunday hosts would have it setup. We came the next day and the manager informed me that no one had informed her. But let me start by saying, Alison Bostwick stepped up to the plate to accommodate us and I truly truly appreciate her patience. Please let her know we enjoyed ourselves and will be back....

I come here a lot but was disappointed this time. Regarding food-- thats really what we come, was disappointed as well. I ordered Medium Well and my ribeye came medium rare. Also asked for pittsburg style and it was a little too burned from outside, all i can taste is the black burned crust. Mushrooms were average but i liked the potato gratin and spinach

It was for a birthday celebration and I made the reservation a long time ago. I was given the worst table in the restaurant right behind the kitchen serving area. The host/mgmt changed the table after complaining which was nice but still not a great start for a special occasion.

Great atmosphere, steaks are great. Service initially was good but the waiter did leave us for long periods of time with only the busboy checking on us. We did have a good quality dinner and a large birthday dessert to share. Overall high quality experience.

Food was delicious. Service was good. We had gone to Capital Grille in Chevy Chase a few years ago and it was so horrible that we never went back.

Recently we were invited to eat there for lunch at the Tysons location and found the food and service to be amazing. We returned for dinner and was not disappointed.

I ordered a salmon platter from Capital Grille's business lunch special with lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was to die for and reminded me why Capital Grille earned their reputation for having one of the best, freshest seafood in upscale dining. Sadly, my salmon had so much salt that I could go past my first bite and requested to have it replaced with a less salty one. The new one my server brought out was totally bland and I did not want to ask for it to be redone again due to the time left for my business lunch meeting. My guest ordered a regular lunch portion salad with salmon and his salmon was nicely seasoned, which he thoroughly enjoyed. A rare hiccup but it was a nice dining experience overall.
