My mom and I had the best experience at this location. Our server, Jasmine, was WONDERFUL and the rest of the staff was just as kind. We food was amazing too and we cannot wait to come back!

Amazing! We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and everything was spectacular. Oysters - so fresh, filet mignon - so flavorful, NY strip - perfectly cooked, and the sides were mouthwatering (we got Brussels sprouts and the Au gratin potatoes). Also highly recommend the cheesecake. Our waitress was the absolute best and made our whole experience even better, coming back soon for sure!

My daughter and I had a wonderful meal here. She had the French onion soup and I had the crab - both were great. We split the filet and had au gratin potatoes and asparagus. Everything was perfect and our server Chris was great. It could not have been a better experience!

The only hiccup is the policy that if you are waiting for a table you cannot order a cocktail without being seated in the bar. What?! The reasoning: manager 1 decided the people who were seated at the bar were being inconvenienced by passing cocktails to patrons. So no cocktails even when no seating was available. What are patrons to do? Stand around and wait. Hmmm. Pure profit being lost at this capital grille. Fortunately we found two seats against the wall and the manager on duty was able to help us while we waited.

Sent back vegetarian option. It was greasy tofu, breaded and fried, with a tasteless pile of asparagus and Brussel sprouts. No seasoning and almost raw vegetables. In contrast, Husband's filet mignon was very good. Sides were fair. Sat upstairs this time in a crowded room which made it difficult for servers to be attentive while running up and down stairs to kitchen. Not as enjoyable as last visit night before Father's day. Vegetarian entree was great that visit. Seems like meatless option is "whatever", Chef's choice, not a standard set meal.

My first time dining at Capital Grille and my expectations where exceeded across the board. We had reservations for our group and were greeted fondly by the host and led to our table right away. The wait staff welcomed me by name in a way that truly made me feel special as well as my mother for whom we were celebrating a very special birthday. Our waiter graciously assisted with selecting a celebratory wine for the table and in choosing the best cocktails!! The food was prepared perfectly. Loved the lobster crab cakes and calamari. The most tender steak and lobster combo I’ve ever had. Steaks were worth the price. My son loved the lobster Mac and cheese. And our entire party agreed that the brûlée style cheese cake was the best we have ever had!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to future celebrations at Capital Grille. Top notch food and exceptional service!

The welcome, and the service was as good as always. The food seems off a bit lately, but not terrible. Love the outdoor dining space, but it seems like these days. It always smells like weed out there. Completely ruins the experience

So I must say this was some of the best food I have had here in Tampa. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Food came out hot and that’s very important to me. Hats off to the Chef on Sep 2nd. Portions were good too. The Generous Pour wine event was nice and a great addition to dinner. If I had a negative it would be the large table that was very loud and obnoxious. Obviously they were inebriated and were hollering across the dining room like they were in a barn or some backyard BBQ. They ruined dinner us and for a lot of diners. Was extremely happy when they finally departed. However, they did not keep it classy and that affected my overall stars for my experience. Despite that I definitely will return because the food was that good. Try the crab and lobster crab cake, the Korean bacon, a ribeye and the house margarita. Here’s to next trip being more pleasurable.

Not anything new to say. Consistently good. My wife had a fillet and I had the lamb chops, which are pretty large compared to a lot of other restaurants. Once again, the service was dead on. Not intrusive, but always on top of what’s happening at the table. For service, price, and quality of food, you cannot go wrong

I had my 1st visit to Capital Grille with 2 of my friends. We started our evening with the generous pour wine tasting. Over the course of the evening, we participated in all three courses - appetizers, entrees, and desserts. However, midway through our meal, I observed the manager circling our table multiple times, though regrettably, they did not approach us to inquire about our dining experience. It's worth noting that as a group, we had collectively spent over $400, and we had hoped for a leisurely evening to enjoy both the food and to enjoy each others company. As we were enjoying our dessert, I noticed the manager discreetly conversing with our server, Daniel. Within a minute, our bill was placed on our table without us expressing a desire to conclude our meal, or even asked if we would like to order anything else. This abrupt gesture left a less than favorable impression, effective communication would have been appreciated, especially considering our desire to enjoy our time together. It’s important to mention that our table remained uncleared; unlike many fine dining establishments that provide table scrapers to remove excess crumbs, we did not receive this service. While our entrees were delectable, the sides were somewhat lacking in flavor. After settling the bill, we received no further service. Daniel hurried past our table multiple times without pausing to check if we needed anything. Our water glasses remained empty, and no effort was made to ensure our satisfaction. Additionally, there was no communication from Daniel indicating that our generous pour experience had concluded, nor did he provide us the option to switch to cocktails. It was obvious we were no longer welcomed and we’re being pushed out. After spending so much money you would think we would be welcome to enjoy our time, rather than being targeted and rushed through our meal.

Food was great. Try the lobster Mac & cheese. We did the wine tasting. That was fun. The waiter was great at explaining everything. My only complaint is the servings were too big. We took food home with us.

The manager was incredible is supporting a special request for the food, and made our celebration incredible. The service level 10/10; our server took care of each detail, made us feel welcome and special, always checked in with the right balance. I’d always recommend Tampa Capital Grille given the service and experience. The food is consistent, which is what I love about Capital Grille. They could add some specials and rubs, which may enhance the experience.

This was my first experience here, and I totally enjoyed it. The server was dressed impeccably, including a jacket (but I would change the jacket to white from tan). He was fully knowledgeable about the menu, and he honed into our preferences quickly. I had the best Steak at Poivre I’ve had in many decades! It was the original preparation I fell in love with so many years ago. If you don’t LOVE peppercorns, then this is not for you. But if you love the truly strong original recipe like I do, then this Steak au Poivre is for you! The chef cooked the steak to the perfect temp I requested, and the sauce was a triumph. Tampa is now a big city, with many other steakhouses touting their Steak au Poivre, but no one has perfected serving the original recipe like The Capital Grille! I’ll be back!

We had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere was great, all of the food was delicious, from the appetizers all the way through dessert. Our server Thomas was amazing as well. My husband and I have been coming to this Rest for years but We celebrated my sons 20th Birthday last night and had such an amazing time. Our server Jason was Excellent and really so patient and accommodating to our party of 9. We ordered a lot of food.. I love how Capital Grille decorated the table and had a very sweet card for my son. The food, atmosphere and service was Excellent as Always! We’ll always come back!
