Was our first time there and we were not disappointed. Our server Matthew or the tentative sociable outgoing friendly when we go back will request him.
Food was awesome, wine list was even better.
My husband and I enjoyed every experiences that we have had with Capital Grill Seattle. Everyone from the parking valet , host, server to the manger, everyone was very attentive! Making our dining experience super memorable!
Service was great! Arrived after happy hour but they allowed me the burger. The French onion soup was delicious! The hubby wanted steak. It was the Kona cooked to a perfect medium rare. Perfect food and perfect service.
Could’ve used more attention by he waiters especially on a non-busy, rainy Thursday night.
Great dinner. The food was excellent! The entire team was very appreciative of the outing and the location. And cognitive that this was a very special occasion.
The wine list was interesting, as it was a tablet. This is neat but there should be a way to adjust the contrast of the screen. It was too bright in the dark room and it hurt my eyes. I actually prefer a physical wine list and not a tablet. We look at so many screens a day and for long hours, the last thing I want to do is look at a screen for ordering my drink.
Concern was that the prices didn't match that of the menu prices we looked at online before booking, which was very uncomfortable when dining/ordering. Items were $ 20-30 more than expected on entrees.
We had a spectacular time at Capital Grille. When making the reservation, I indicated we were celebrating a birthday. Without instruction from me, our table had birthday confetti and a card wishing the birthday man a wonderful celebration. They offered complementary sparkling wine and dessert. It was a delightful way to celebrate.
Service was impeccable. Friendly, well trained, professional staff made sure our every need was met. Water glasses were never empty, our server and the manager checked how we were enjoying our food. What’s more, we have severe food allergies and the staff were so gracious, careful, and helpful. We had a delicious meal. My husband, the birthday man, had the ribeye steak, baked potato, and mushrooms. My son ate the filet with baked potato. Both steaks were cooked to the perfect slightly rarer medium rare we requested. I had lobster with clarified butter.
We couldn’t recommend Capital Grille enough, and if you want a spectacular server, ask for Humberto.
Wonderful service (thank you Rod) and fantastic food/wine.
We went as a party of 10 and we had a great time. Most of us ordered different types of steaks available on the menu and all of us liked what we ordered. the wine selection is great and we ordered two bottles of the cabernet franc. we are definitely coming back.
We were dining here after a day at Emerald City Comic Con. The day was exhausting and we were looking forward to a lovely dinner. Shortly after my arrival, I became ill as a result of general exhaustion from the day and was unable to enjoy my meal. The wait staff was so understanding and caring it was service above and beyond - they packed up my dinner with care so that I could take it home to enjoy later - which I very much did. We will be dining here again and I look forward to enjoying my meal on-site next time.
Thank you and much appreciation to Carlos - whose service and care was truly above and beyond.
The entire experience was excellent .
Really classy, and excellent food. They made the two birthdays really special.
We waited a very long time for our food. Kitchen must have been very overwhelmed. Then some dishes not hot.
As usual, The Capital Grille was wonderful. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Thanks to Christopher for helping us have a wonderful evening.
Quiet, good service, nice cut of steak and excellent wine choices. Will definitely come back.
Not the Capital Grill I have been to in the past. Table not ready and we had to wait over 30 minutes with no place to set. Then when we were seated we were given a table in the busy walkway after we requested a table in back in quiet area. We told the table so we did not have to wait longer. The lobster I got must have been placed under heat because it was all dried out. We went for Maine Lobster and they did not have another one. The manager did her best to fix the problem . The steak was over cooked and the garlic spinach was way too salty.
The desert and drinks were all great. Our server was also great and did his best to give us a good time. The front desk should have read the reservation and had a table ready for us a more quiet area. Does no good to make a reservation if the restaurant does not have a table ready. I wanted the people with me to like this restaurant but they said will never go here again. While waiting for our car another couple was there and also saying the restaurant had gone downhill. The staff there was really great but the kitchen needs help.
Went for a birthday dinner. Table was close to kitchen and noisy. The hosts were very accommodating in getting us another table in quiet part of restaurant and made this a great experience. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The food is excellent and service was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
Came for a good steak. Both steaks were very good but not great. Sides were rather basic, baked potato with only a bit of butter. Wine was good but pricey ($20/glass).
Cobb salad for lunch was perfect. Service excellent. An adult lunch spot. Private conversation facilitated.
Everything was superb
Phenomenal service matched with delicious food is the perfect combination for a birthday celebration!
Great restaurant...food and drinks were amazing! Staff was friendly without being stuffy. The entire restaurant was outstanding!
I absolutely loved this location it was my first time in Seattle and I have to say I hated the food until I came here it was amazing and the service was perfect!!! Definitely will come back even if I have to fly to this location. Thank you for he great memory!
Great food. Kona crusted bone-in NY strip was perfectly prepared. Save room for the coconut cream pie. Service wasn’t terrible but could have been better. I’d definitely go again.
The food and service are great.
The wait for the table was long even after a reservation but after that the experience was excellent.
Pre theatre dinner. Always a good choice. Steaks are delicious.
Starting from the Hostess to the mixologists’ and finally our server Rod, everything and everyone was fantastic. We have visited the Capital Grill throughly the nation and we keep coming back to the Seattle location every time we visit... Highly recommended!!
Incredible service, delicious food, and great atmosphere. Our group had an awesome time!!
It was very nice evening at Capital Grille. There for a Valentine’s Day date. Checked in for an 20:15 reservation. Maître d’ informed us they were running 15 to 20 minutes behind. We went to the bar and were speedily served cocktails—the wait for our table didn’t bother us. Good service, good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Stayed very late and weren’t made to feel like we were taking up space. Well done!
Great dinner on Valentine’s Day! And let’s face it, normally holiday dinners suck - overpriced, below average quality, rushed, etc... Capital Grille pulled it off. Great service, great food, stiff drinks. A good 5⭐️ experience even on a extremely busy night!
We were a party of 12, and for all of us it was our first time there. I know I speak for all of us: we had an excellent experience on every level: great food, great service, beautiful ambiance. The place isn't cheap, but it was certainly worth it. I will be back.
Food was delicious, every bite a treat but the lighting was very poor. We had to use our phones as flash lights to read the menu. When the food came I couldn't tell if when I cut my steak I was cutting off a piece of meat or piece of fat. We moved the small lamp on the table next to our plates but this made very little difference. As much as I dislike going to downtown Seattle I do intend to go back. Likely for lunch or in the summer when it is daylight outside.
Food was fantastic, other than dessert. I ordered creme brûlée and it was very dry - certainly Not custardy as you would expect. It was unacceptable. Also, service was very slow. We had play tickets for 7:30 and arrived at 5:15. This should have been ample time for dinner. We had to walk away from our desserts at 7:00. The Capital Grill staff did comp our cocktails, which was nice. However, this did not make up for the stress of trying to get to the play before they closed admittance (before opening song).
Also, we were seated in a booth that had issues. The group behind us was noisy and “active”. It was like sitting on an airplane with a kicking child behind us. Plus, the booth felt like it was going to dislodge from the floor. Needed to be rebuilt, I think. Very uncomfortable and greatly affected the enjoyment of our dinner.
We are loyal Capital Grill customers, even frequenting the Capital Grill in Minneapolis. This time, and the only time for us over the years, we were disappointed.
Great service and experience. Plus made our 25th Wedding Anniversary super special. The entire meal was excellent. Thanks
Always a pleasure to be at the Capital Grille. Food, service and value always on top.
Outstanding experience. Will definitely be back. Was a great dining location for the theater.
Loved the old school decor. The food and service were flawless.
Everything about the experience was terrific: cocktails, appetizers, wine list, steak and sides, dessert, and coffee. No problem splitting the main course. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable yet not overly intrusive. One of the nicest dining experiences we have had in some time.
Outstanding service, great food. Good location close to the 5th Avenue Theatre and Benaroya Hall. A go-to place for special occasions, or just a great meal.
I eat here once a week for client lunches and my food is prepared perfectly coupled with the the great service and menu selections.
