We had a great waiter, but the food left a lot to be desired.
absolutely amazing. the service was great and the food was even better! my family and i will definitely be back soon.
Our server Carlos was outstanding!
food is always exceptional and the service is appropriate.
The menu and food was excellent. All four of us enjoyed our choices. Our waitress was quite good but failed to offer us coffee - we had to ask for it - and failed to give the two mothers in our group a flower as we left which we noticed all the other women were given!
I did like the fact that the staff seated all the families with children in one area and all the adults groups in another so it was less noisy! i didn't like the way the people waiting to be seated spead all over the area between the door and the bar and at times were hovering around our table. Perhaps the staff can find a better place for people to wait.
11 of us celebrated mom’s 80th Birthday on Saturday! They decorated the table, attended to every need, provided a special dessert plate for mom, and our server John was fantastic!
Great service, food and ambiance.
Looking for a good, broiled lobster. Excited when waitress said she had a nice 2lb lobster. I asked broiled?, she said yes. Came covered with lettuce, steamed, barely warm, cut in soggy pieces. Worst lobster in my 60 years. Sea Bass more like fish soup swimming in sauce. Cold coffee and beware of the so called Coconut Cream pie. So disappointed.
Be prepared to drop a lot of dough. Server was excellent, service was outstanding, steak, however, was overcooked which is very disappoionting for such an expensive restaurant.
Great celebrate birthday
Me and my wife celebrated our 9th year anniversary here, the service was second to none, we felt like we were surrounded by old friends and family.
You are always by everyone when you enter. When we arrived at our table, it was decorated for my wife’s birthday. There was also a nice card from the staff awaither her as well. Our server Jon was as great as ever. Great suggestions and very knowledgeable of the menu. Everyone was made to feel welcomed. Even had a nice manager visit to check on us and wish my wife a happy birthday. This is my favorite spot and they never disappoint. We will certainly be coming back.
Amazing food, amazing service. All around worth experiencing when you go to Seattle. They have the best service I have seen. Able to take special requests and deliver results that will be above and beyond your expectations. Well done Capital Grille. I am a huge promoter of your establishment. 5 starts.
I had the Cobb salad. Beef tenderloin perfectly done.
I love going to Cap Grill
Easter brunch with family. Very elegant.
I don't know WHY we've waited so long to dine at this fabulous restaurant, but I CAN tell you this: It is NOW our Happy Place! Goodbye to those other downtown restaurants that used to be, because the ambience and service -- AND FOOD -- are incomparable. What a stellar menu and the CHEF is spectacular. We can't wait to go back. I'm thinking Mother's Day!! It's just around the corner! Dr. G. :)
I've eaten here a number of times. Always excellent service and food. I had the seafood platter with the crab cocktail. OMG. There was so much food, I had to take some home. The crab cocktail was an endless supply of crab, which was absolute heaven. This place is known for steak, which has always been cooked to perfection. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. It's one of the best places I've ever eaten in Seattle. Definitely top 5 restaurants in Seattle.
We went there for a birthday lunch. The table had little confetti, they brought champaign flutes and 2 small desserts with happy birthday in chocolate on the plate. The food was delicious and good portions. The staff were professional and friendly. Overall great experience.
My wife and I believe they switched the doneness of our steaks, which would be fine if they were the same cuts. When you are paying $56 for a steak it ought to be great. I am happy to spend $200 on dinner, if it is good. This was not a good experience. The bread basket and lobster/crab cakes were fantastic and our server was good.
Sat in the bar to enjoy a leisurely and "snack-y" dinner before an event at Benaroya. Our bartender, Corine, provided informed recommendations, was appropriately personable and particularly conscientious - noticing we like to share she thoughtfully served our amazing tenderloin sliders with the 3rd one sliced in half in advance. She offered to store our leftovers for pick up following our program and then sent us home with bottled water. First class!
Exceptional food and especially service. An increasingly rare art, our server was friendly, attentive, informative, but never obtrusive. A pet peeve is waiters who interrupt conversations throughout the meal to blare "EVERYTHING OK SO FAR?". Just come to the table or catch our eye and we'll let you know.
We enjoyed oysters, lobster bisque, a wedge salad and filet mignon. All prepared perfectly. And we dined in a beautifully decorated back room, with a warm and traditional ambience.
This was our fourth visit, and we'll be back again.
It was to celebrate my wife birthday. The table is very nicely decorated. The porterhouse steak is absolutely delicious. The meal is finished by a surprised dessert and we enjoyed the dinner very much
Service was excellent and the food was great. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff .
Got the best service from Omar, our waiter. It was all the little things - he saw I was wearing dark pants so he gave me a black napkin instead of the white one on the table. I had forgotten my phone, and he saw me waiting at my table and asked if I'd like a newspaper. So attentive and kind!
This was the most overpriced, lackluster meal I've ever had. We ended up packaging up 95% our $200 meal and giving it to a homeless person on the way home. The crème brulee was delicious, but other than that it was awful. The service and the atmosphere were great, thus the only reason they got any stars at all.
Great staff!! We had several special requests and they were extremely helpful and considerate. A 5 star experience.
The food we had was quite ordinary and our dinner (for two) was $249.00 before the tip!
Definitely NOT worth it.
We had a great night out! The food was fabulous and service was 2nd to none. We were treated like special guests. We shall return!
It was an amazing experience. My son and I went prior to heading to the 5th Avenue theatre and the staff was amazing and really seemed to care about getting us out for our show in a timely manner. The food was to die for and can't wait for our next visit.
Excellent service, amazing lamb and a menu with lots of variety.
The food was excellent. The sea bass was perfectly prepared, the lobster was properly steamed so it remained tender, and the salads were excellent. Best of all was the perfect service from Mr. Cruz: pleasant, with good suggestions, and prompt without being intrusive.
Absolutely fabulous. This was a special occasion and the Capital Grille went out of there way to carry on the theme. My granddaughter just was told she got the internship she had interviewed for and I was also meeting her boyfriend for the first time. At our table was a congratulations card and sprinkles of stars on the table. The lunch and service was exquisite and the additional surprise was a congratulatory dessert. It was amazing and I was one proud grandma.
The actual restaurant was great. The food was all delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful. Your online reservation system is frustrating. The name on all emails was wrong, and we received an automated "sorry we missed you" which I found passive aggressive, when we were 25 minutes late and the restaurant had at least 10 open tables to seat us.
The wait staff was incredible. Very professional and the manager came to our table twice to ask us how we were enjoying our meal experience. Outstanding service and food. Our waiter Aram was great!!!!
Went in on a Saturday night at 7 PM. Was seated immediately, spacious booth for four (or more) people, noise level allowed good conversation at the table. After being seated there was a immediate follow up with taking our drink order. Hot breads were brought to the table (the garlic bread was incredible) and our order was taken. Amber was our server and we could not have asked for more attentive service. The food was what we expected and more...and we found out why their au gratin potatoes should be a side dish for the table. We even ordered more as a "take out". Going back in May.
Our small graduation class of seven had a fabulous dining experience! We indulged in celebration and your staff made sure we were well celebrated, too. The food was top notch, and our cozy table was in a quiet corner, exactly as I had hoped.
Joel was an excellent server. Best steak I’ve had in along time Very accommodating to food allergies. Our group had a wonderful evening
