Danny is excellent. He is consistently excellent.
As usual the group had a good meal of lobster salad and shrimp with risotto. The tenderloin sliders were below expectations. Altho cooked perfectly as requested, the bun was slightly burned on the bottom and a bit too dry on the top resulting in a mess of crust crumbling and falling off the bun plus a hard bottom. The truffle fries were over fried compared to other orders I have had. While the cheese sauce with mushrooms on the tenderloin was flavorful there was no indication on the menu that it would be on the sandwich. However, the problem with the buns forced me to scrape off the soft part of the bun with the sauce so I could taste it and leave 3/4 of the buns uneaten.
Food and service were both stellar, will definitely be going there again. Ambiance was a mix of hunting lodge chic and old school wine bar, no hipsters in sight.
Lovely table with a card and red rose petals and sparkles! Dinner was great and our waiter - Megan was outstanding. We ended with champagne and chocolate cake - divine!
Service was incredibly slow. I couldn’t finish my scallops because they were over cooked.
Everytime I go to Capital Grille I just can't resist the Lobster Bisque and Calimari.
Awesome place with amazing staff, great food and accompaniments. Great night out.
Excellent food, service and ambience. Nelson was a fabulous server and an attribute to the Capital Grille!
We t for our anniversary and treated wonderfully.
It was a birthday dinner
Ambiance was good
Birthday card the restaurant left on the table was a great touch
A few mistakes w the food order but nothing that wasn’t corrected immediately
Fabulous meal, food was delicious, but pricey. Sometimes it is true that you get what you pay for.
Óscar made the Birthday celebration perfect!!!
Outstanding as always!! Megan is a fantastic server and everyone enjoyed their restaurant week dinner!!
Arizona restaurant week
Wow! We had never been to a Capital Grill but thought we would try because it was restaurant week in Scottsdale. So glad we did! One of the best meals in years. And also by the way - incredible service. Our server Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, polite. Need I go on. Needless to say they have made a convert out of us. Awesome and thank you for a GREAT dining experience.
Dry rubbed aged NY steak was excellent recommendation from our server. Other than a few hiccups with the rest of the order, everything was great. The"Q" tonic water used to make our drinks was not what we're used to and made the drinks completely taste different. Instead of having our usual 2-3 drinks, we had only the one. Change the brand of your tonic water to Fever-Tree or Schweppes.
Here for restaurant week. Had one of the best bang for your buck menus of all the AZ restaurant week participants.
Seated right when we arrived. Luis, who worked his way up from assistant to busboy to runner to server had a great personality and took good care of us.
Iceberg wedge was awesome. Kona crusted bone NY with shallot butter was tasty. Only complaint was the Parmesan truffle fries presentation—they tasted great but looked a like a basket of steak fries from a baseball game. And the creme brûlée could have had a more solid glassy crackly surface.
The Capital Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and the service is excellent!
Capital Grill is always outstanding! The steaks, seafood, appetizers, and desserts we had were all wonderful.
As usual dining experience was superb. Food was good and waiters were very cordial.
Seemed rushed at the end. Steak to die for, rest good
Capital Grill never fails to impress with their food.
Chris was a great waiter and took care of all of our needs. We had wonderful food and great experience
All was good.
Capital Grill never disappoints when it comes to a fine meal with great service.
Megan was a wonderful server. Everything was perfect.
I felt the hostess could have been more helpful and interested. Geo, our server, was excellent, attentive and courteous. I feel the quality of the meal wasn’t up to the usual standard. Capital Grille was always my husbands’s favorite but this is not his first choice anymore.
Celebrated a friend's birthday with the Phoenix Restaurant Week menu, which was the best to be had at the $44 pp level. When we arrived, the table was decorated with spangles and a note that said "happy birthday". Meal included a cold, crisp wedge with blue cheese dressing and filet mignon cooked perfectly to order. We had ordered the flourless chocolate cake dessert, but received a nice surprise when the waiter brought out a plate with a chocolate and a lemon torte, with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate. The waiter packed up the parts of the meal we couldn't eat, along with the desserts that had been included in the menu. Also found a decently priced bottle of chardonnay. Service was excellent. Although I had eaten at this Capital Grille previously as well as a number of others elsewhere, the quality of the food for the Restaurant Week menu, the birthday surprises and the impeccable service clarified why this one was the favorite restaurant of one of my best friends who recently left the area.
Steak had little to no seasoning/flavor. The sides were lackluster. The dessert was the best part of the meal unfortunately. We have had good meals here in the past so we were disappointed that we didn’t enjoy it this time as we came here to celebrate our anniversary.
Simply the best all around!
Mist excellent. We celebrated our 41st anniversary there. They always go above and beyond.
Every time I dine at the Capital Grille in Scottsdale, I am treated as if I am the only customer. The food is wonderful and the service outstanding.
Wonderful Restaurant Week visit. Excellent service and food.
JR was a fantastic server! And a fantastic meal!!
Great as always!
Simply the best food and best dining experience!
To say that Capital Grille is a deal during "Restaurant Week" is an understatement. Some restaurants give smaller portions of their items for the $44.00 deal. NOT Capital Grille ! Just the price of the Bone in NY is $5 more than the whole package. Of course we still had to have martini's, Tuna Tartar, mushrooms, shrimp add on for my steak, and Oscar add on for the Mrs. But still a GREAT value ! But don't wait for "Restaurant Week" go as soon as you can...
Service and meals NEVER disappoint.
Thank you Eric for the great recommendations. It was a lovely meal.
