We made the reservation two weeks in advance and confirmed our reservation the day prior. Despite this when we arrived we were greeted as if we hadn’t made reservations and were not able to be seated in the lounge area. Yes they stated they’d honor the Lounge special bit the stance/posture was out of character for CG and even when we left the lady at the hostess stand were rude and stand of fish. That was disappointing. Fortunately the meal was incredible

Had an early reservation not knowing that main dining room was closed til 5:00, we were seated in bar area and had the best experience with Jill. Thank you for the amazing service and attention. Food as always was fabulous. Great Anniversary celebration

Went for a birthday luncheon celebration 🎉, was amazing. They even had a birthday card and confetti on the table. 5-stars, hands down the best!

The service was great. The food was delicious. We celebrated my husbands birthday. They had the table decorated with birthday confetti and brought us a delicious complementary desert. Will definitely return.

Wonderful dining experience. The food was outstanding as our excellent waiter, Luis, bent the rules a little to make our dishes just as we wanted them. The peppercorn sauced steak was fabulous paired with the au gratin crusty topped potatoes. Oh yes, and the beet salad with whipped goat cheese was a winner too. We will return soon!
This was our second visit to Capital Grill during our weeks vacation in Scottsdale. The special Ribeye steak was excellent both times as well as our Salad and crab cake appetizer.

The place for a great meal in Arizona. Excellent menu with something for everyone, especially steak lovers. An extensive wine list, and the ability to store your favorites on site.
Staff is excellent, friendly and courteous, and clearly part of a team focused on delivering an enjoyable experience for all guests.

I made reservations and brought my husband here for his 60th birthday . When we got there, our table was tastefully decorated and there was a birthday card. It just kept getting better from there. Alexander was our waiter, and he was fantastic! He was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband got the porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye and said it was the best steak he’d ever had. I got the pan-seared sea bass, and it was delicious. We recommend the mashed potatoes too - they were particularly good. Then a birthday dessert followed along with 2 glasses of champagne on the house. But it wasn’t over yet! A nice Polaroid photo was taken of us to remember the event. Such a great experience! Thank you to Alexander and the chefs for this wonderful, unexpected dining experience.
As usual the group had a good meal of lobster salad and shrimp with risotto. The tenderloin sliders were below expectations. Altho cooked perfectly as requested, the bun was slightly burned on the bottom and a bit too dry on the top resulting in a mess of crust crumbling and falling off the bun plus a hard bottom. The truffle fries were over fried compared to other orders I have had. While the cheese sauce with mushrooms on the tenderloin was flavorful there was no indication on the menu that it would be on the sandwich. However, the problem with the buns forced me to scrape off the soft part of the bun with the sauce so I could taste it and leave 3/4 of the buns uneaten.
Food and service were both stellar, will definitely be going there again. Ambiance was a mix of hunting lodge chic and old school wine bar, no hipsters in sight.
Lovely table with a card and red rose petals and sparkles! Dinner was great and our waiter - Megan was outstanding. We ended with champagne and chocolate cake - divine!
Service was incredibly slow. I couldn’t finish my scallops because they were over cooked.
Everytime I go to Capital Grille I just can't resist the Lobster Bisque and Calimari.

Arizona restaurant week
Wow! We had never been to a Capital Grill but thought we would try because it was restaurant week in Scottsdale. So glad we did! One of the best meals in years. And also by the way - incredible service. Our server Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, polite. Need I go on. Needless to say they have made a convert out of us. Awesome and thank you for a GREAT dining experience.
Dry rubbed aged NY steak was excellent recommendation from our server. Other than a few hiccups with the rest of the order, everything was great. The"Q" tonic water used to make our drinks was not what we're used to and made the drinks completely taste different. Instead of having our usual 2-3 drinks, we had only the one. Change the brand of your tonic water to Fever-Tree or Schweppes.
Here for restaurant week. Had one of the best bang for your buck menus of all the AZ restaurant week participants.
Seated right when we arrived. Luis, who worked his way up from assistant to busboy to runner to server had a great personality and took good care of us.
Iceberg wedge was awesome. Kona crusted bone NY with shallot butter was tasty. Only complaint was the Parmesan truffle fries presentation—they tasted great but looked a like a basket of steak fries from a baseball game. And the creme brûlée could have had a more solid glassy crackly surface.
The Capital Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and the service is excellent!
