Took a colleague for lunch. The options for food were plentiful. The quality and quantity of the meal was fantastic! The french onion soup and the rib eye steak were delicious and prepared perfectly. Don't forget to save room for dessert! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.

As always an enjoyable dinner with excellent food. It was an extremely busy night and took awhile for anyone to come to our table to even give us water after we were seated. Other than that, everything was excellent!

Lobster/crab cakes are amazing! My wife loved her steak, mine was eh... overcooked and just didn't enjoy the flavor of the lobster on top. We've had bad top end experiences in and around Pittsburgh

Worst service I have had at The Capital Grille. The assistant waiter barely came by to refill water. Darla, our waiter, would take our drink glasses without asking if we wanted another. She was more focused on the other tables than ours and had too get her attention to get her to come over.
Food was not as good as previous visits, my rib eye was fattier than normal.
Drinks and soups however were excellent as usual!

The best chain steakhouse...hands down! Amazing French onion soup and the steaks were what you would expect.....just downright delicious. Rebecca was the best!!!! Slainte!

Solid as always. We had a group of seven that we had changed from six on original reservation and it appeared we were still seated at some table as six, which was a bit crowded. Very attentive and professional service considering that it was a full house, even on a Tuesday night. This is exceptionally notable as most other restaurants in town were short staffed, closing early or limiting capacity. Food was well above average, one steak was overcooked, but quickly replaced by our server. All and all a good experience. This is arguably one of the best steakhouses in Pittsburgh, and like the others, you pay for that fact. I will continue to return here in future visits to Pittsburgh

My family dined at Capitol Grille yesterday to celebrate my daughter's 21st Birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the confetti on our table when we arrived, which made it festive! The service was fantastic and our food was very delicious. Our server brought my daughter a birthday dessert with a candle which was another surprise. We really appreciated the effort that was made in order to make our celebration even more special. Thank you!!

Im the general manager of a large restaurant so I am all too familiar with how shortstaffed and problematic things are right now for restaurants. We have not been to capital Grille in quite some time because we are Eddie Merlot fans but I don’t know that we will be rushing back. Our server had four tables all at the exact same time and we were definitely neglected by capital Grille standards. It is unfortunate because I understand the situation that everyone is in and I did not take it out on the server. The biggest issue with the meal was I ordered a 14 ounce dry aged New York strip and when it came to my table it was still blue in the middle and rather cold actually. The server didn’t have time to give us a proper check back so I sat there and waited for about 10 minutes until he asked how everything was on a fly by. I stopped him and said excuse me I hate to complain but my steak is more undercooked than I was expecting and it’s actually makes it a little tough. He took it back to the kitchen and my wife continue to eat her meal which she enjoyed immensely. Unfortunately it took almost 15 minutes for my refire steak to come back out to just medium rare and even after all of that time it was still tough which I was not expecting from a dry aged strip. The manager ran the refire out finally and dropped it at the table with no apology and said he would stop back in a few bites to make sure it was done correctly. He stopped back and I told him it was medium rare. I left about a third of the strip on the plate because it just was not very good. I wasn’t expecting anything to be comped but an apology would’ve been nice considering my wife basically ate her entire meal alone while I watched. Very disappointing for our return visit but I guess it’s just the way things are now.

Awesome experience with some picky eaters!

Way too noisy & hectic but wonderful food

We were there on a night with several large graduation parties. result was slower service. Steaks were not cooked correctly. "Medium" filet came out a shade warmer than "rare". These two issues aside, the food was outstanding and overall one of the best steak houses we have been to in a long time.

Great venue for a birthday dinner! Taylor (our waiter) was absolutely incredible.

Everything about the experience was excellent particularly a first class server, but I was very disappointed in my filet and my wife felt the same way about her fish.
