Wonderful as always!!!!
Great food. Hard to get beverage refills
One of the best meals we have had! Great service, too.
Every time we devote an evening to the Capital Grille it is memorable. We start in the bar with their very professional and friendly bartenders. Great wines and my martini is always well made. For dinner our steaks were unsurpassed. I chose the Kobe bone in Strip rare. Perfectly cooked of course and wonderfully flavorful. Kelley, our server, was friendly, attentive and helpful. Could not have been a better night unless it had been free!
Excellent anniversary dinner. Extremely friendly staff and were on top of accommodating gluten-free needs.
Ncaa day. Good ending.
Still the creme de la creme of fine dining experiences.
When you deserve a great night out with that someone special this is the right place!
We had a reservation at 7:30 and were not seated until 8:15. This definitely put a damper on the whole evening.
Tuna tartare was too salty and didn’t have enough mango sauce. calamari was deep fried with breadcrumbs as plating when menu said it was pan fried. Manager changed to Stir fried with jalapeños. Was ok but could taste the calamari wasn’t fresh. Also asked for oil and balsamic as dressing for our salad. Waiter gave us balsamic instead of aged balsamic which I would expect from an establishment such as capital grille. Waiter didn’t apologize. Just brought us aged balsamic as we asked. Our food took an hour after we ordered to arrive. My salmon was overcooked. Told the waiter and all he said was he’ll let the manager know. Manager didn’t apologize and just said he’ll take off my salmon and calamari from our bill. I appreciated that but I rather have a good quality chargeable meal than a free poor quality meal. Gesture by the manager is very much appreciated. Just wished we didn’t have to wait for an hour to complain about our food.
My son had the tenderloin and lobster tail. He was happy with his meal.
Management and service were great. The kitchen over cooked 3/4 meals. Two of us sent it back-it was really not edible, and the steaks that came later were delicious. Overall, I really enjoy the ambiance, and the service and management are always fantastic. Our server Koy was really good!
I found the food to be just okay. I expected more of a taste experience for the prices.
The staff was nothing but polite, kind and professional! Service was fabulous, food was perfection and the hospitality made us feel right at home! It was a memorable 2nd anniversary dinner!
The noise level from two nearby tables was extremely loud, and made conversation very difficult. Prices of all items were very high....too high for even a business dinner. Wine list was very good, but not well priced.
Our service was amazing but the food wasn’t as good as in past visits.
Ambiance and food and drink- can't get better than this place! The cheescake is to die for, save a little room!!
I took my girlfriend for our anniversary, and they really made it the best they could. They even left a note on the table that said happy anniversary, hand written. The steak and lobster mac n cheese were phenomenal, and it was a real treat. I would recommend it to anyone!
Great food and service!
Beautiful decor and romantic ambiance for a date night out with my boyfriend before a cabaret show!!! Food tasted amazing and steak was juicy and melted in my mouth and cooked at good temperature!! Recommend restaurant for a special occasion due to a little expensive though worth it!!!
I wasn't impressed with it, my food came out wrong. I ordered lamb chops and they came out overcooked and when they fixed them they came out almost raw. I gave up at that point and we just ordered dessert. We ordered coconut cream pie.... It was vanilla cake base with cream and coconut. Wasn't really worth 11 bucks and was pretty small. I'll stick with Eddie Merlot's from now on... Never had an issue there.
Only downside was that they were out of the dessert that I ordered. We were not told this until about 10 minutes after it was ordered.
Even though they were out of my favorite steak, they went above and gave me a steak that was similar and did not up charge us. Good service
The most unbelievable meal me and my wife have ever had hands down. It is very expensive but was truly worth every penny. The service was superior and the attention to detail was impressive.
Haven't been here in a while---always loved the calamari appetizer--not as good as before--disappointing
The service was outstanding! James went above and beyond for us. The lamb chops were to die for. My favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh!
We had the best experience at Capital Grille! We were celebrating a birthday and they made it so special. The table was decorated with confetti and a hand written card. They also brought dessert and a candle to the table. Service and food was awesome.
Wonderful experience. Perfect dinner.
We order one NY strip and one Porterhouse. NY strip was good but a little burnt on the surface. I could taste the burnt on the outside but the inside was correctly cooked. The Porterhouse was a bit rare (we ordered medium rare). The inside was a bit cold and a bit too rare. We didn't ask for change cause we were afraid if we asked to cook a bit more, it will have the burnt taste as well. Other than this, the appetizers were great. The lobster and crab cake and lobster bisque were excellent. The server is good.
Excellent food and atmosphere! Everything was top notch. Love the atmosphere of classic steakhouse.
We visited on a recent trip to Pittsburgh for my husband's birthday/Valentine's Day and our meal was wonderful. Our server Darla was great, very friendly, professional and knowlegible of the menu. She offered her own recommendations on the menu and they did not disappoint! If I had to come up with any criticism, it would be the noise level in the restaurant, it was very loud. But, it helped keep the atmosphere upbeat instead of stuffy.
Food was very good, just extremely overpriced. There are a ton of restaurants at this quality level that are 15 to 20 dollars a plate less. Ambiance was ok, service was good. Overall, just not impressed for the money.
Great all around service, ordered the Filet and the Bone-in Strip, great cuts cooked just like they should be. Capital Grille is the model of consistency everywhere I go.
we have gone to other steak houses like RED and Morton’s and so on ...but we enjoy the food but also the atmosphere at capital grille so much more! Feels comfortable and not very stagnant like Others.
Great atmosphere and hospitality. The food at Capital Grille is always prepared and served well. One of the best steakhouses in Pittsburgh. Service is attentive and the staff goes out of it's way to make your dining experience a great one.
Great Valentine’s Day dinner
Overall great experience. Every food item was good and did not plan on ordering dessert however; when asked if a particular dessert was recommended the waitress said to order the cheesecake. She was right!!!!!!
The Capital Grille is the picture perfect elegant restaurant! The food is always amazing and the service is incredible! I always enjoy my meals here. It is pricey but so worth it!
The tables were decorated with red heart confetti which was so cute and the food was amazing. I got surf and turf and my husband filet mignon and we shared the smashed potatoes. Cheesecake for dessert all wonderful
Our server was good and the food was fine; however all other support staff were less than adequate. The individual who brought our food from the kitchen was rude. She appeared quite annoyed when I asked a question about how the children's plates were prepared. And, another individual kept removing flatware from the table as we were still using it. While the reservation was for Valentine's day, it was a 5:15 reservation and the restaurant was not busy. Definitely won't return to this Capital Grille location.
Best restaurant in the Pittsburgh area. Highly recommend the porterhouse.
