We enjoyed the pre-theater menu before the Speakers Series at the Kimmel. Our meals were delicious and the service was outstanding.

Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Some of the wines by the glass cost more than a bottle in the state store. Huge portions -- could be smaller and lower the price.

My girlfriend an I have been to quite a few of the fine steak houses the city had to offer such as Barclay Prime, and Davios. This was our first time at The Capital Grill an it is on par with those restaurants I mentioned already. We had the pleasure to have Bob Droszcz as our server and he was great. Now onto the food, we split the calamari app an it was delicious. The breading you can tell was done in House an was very light which i like so you still get some of the squid texture. It comes with cherry peppers in it which is kinda of common an me being Italian I love but my girlfriend didn’t have a problem picking around them an still enjoyed it. I also had a cup of the lobster bisque which was also excellent, having multiple chunks of lobster in it. For my entree I chose the dry aged NY strip with the Kona rub paired with half a pound of Alaskan king crab legs. Yeah how could you go wrong with that? My girl friend had the scallops. Both of the dishes were phenomenal the steak was cooked perfectly an the kona was delicious being my first time having it I was not disappointed. I don’t want to forget about the wine expert (forgive me for forgetting the fancy name for it) I believe his name was David, he was also very helpful. Now back to Bob, he was nice enough to give us a complimentary dessert stating that our entrees took a while to come out. That was very nice of him, an just shows how aware and caring he is about the folks he is waiting on. Just an overall great experience for the two of us. We will be back an I will recommend it to friends an family for sure.

Delicious and great service - my filet was not quite cooked enough for me and my server said she would make it right. It came back "right" and was not dried out as often happens. Have the Brussels Sprouts!

The Capital Grille is one of my favorites. It’s consistently one of the best steak houses in Philly, and certainly when you consider the value as compared to other pricier options. We had the filet and sirloin, and both were cooked to perfection. Don’t miss the crab cocktail, calamari, wedge salad, mushrooms and au gratin potatoes.. They’re all spectacular. The coconut cream pie is the best, although we couldn’t eat another bite. Next time for sure!

If you like restaurants that are painfully noisy and offer mediocre steakhouse fare - being asked to wait at the bar for 20 min , uncovering 6 oz of decent veal in an enormous Tomahawk cut, waitresses that interrupt and ask you if you want another glass of wine 4x after saying no thank you each time - this is the place for you. The town was sold out except for Capital Grill and now I know why. Better to stay home and order a pizza.

Another great meal. The Capital Grill always does a nice job of mixing great food with a great atmosphere. The service was fantastic and our waiter Damon was superb. He was always observing our drinks and needs while not being overly intrusive. I will say it was a tad disappointing that my steak was mixed up and I had to wait for them to make the proper one. But things happen. The staff was apologetic and definitely felt bad. One thing I thought should have happened was the manager should have stopped by to apologize but maybe they were busy but definitely would have been nice to have stopped over. The Capital Grill should definitely acknowledge there superb staff like Damon. Will definitely be back and hopefully not have to wait for my meal. :)

Went here for my boyfriends birthday this past weekend. We had 7:30 reservations and got there a little before. We sat by the bar and waited because it was very crowded. After 40 minutes of waiting, we decided to eat by the bar because we had a show at 9:30pm. 50 minutes Later they called my name, and we had reservations! Very disappointing because I had set up with the restaurant to sing and bring dessert for his birthday! The food was good, but not worth the money! $55 for steak, with absolutely nothing with it!! It was good, but not that good and way overpriced. Nice restaurant, but disappointing. Not sure I’d go back.

Overall very displeased with my party of 5's experience. It was a Friday night at 630pm and restaurant was full, mix of families (with children running around even), couples, business meetings. We were seated at a round top that was squished into a room off the kitchen, and there was no real aisle between the other tables and our chair to walk by, servers, and other patrons constantly bumping our table's chairs. Our hostess only brought our party of 5, 4 menus and 4 black napkins, and never returned with another menu for our 5th guest who was present and seated from the start. Then there was a very long delay before our server greeted us (and finally gave us a 5th menu). There was also a VERY long delay between ordering and when our salads arrived and a VERY short amount of time between salads arriving and entrees arriving. Obviously there was poor planning and timing. Then, of the 4 steaks ordered, 2 steaks were undercooked and this was of course disappointing. For the price point, I expect the highest quality of food and service and this experience fell very short. I would not recommend this place as I am sure there are better restaurants in Philadelphia, especially if you want a steak with good service.

I love this restaurant as it not my first experience. But last night there was a very loud and rude business men sitting next to our table. There was a party of about 20-22 that werent as loud as this group of about 8. Not to mention the vulgarity! As always I enjoyed my food and service.

Had a wonderful evening with friends. The capital Cosmo was delicious, as was every course of the meal. Lobster bisque had perfectly cooked lobster in it. Scallops with asparagus and parsnip purée were delectable. My only comment would be we were seated near a room with a private party and as the private party ended the people spilled out into our area and were very loud.
Would definitely go back though, there were several items on the menu I would like to try.

Every aspect of our meal was delightful from the warm greeting we received and beyond. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The beet and goat cheese salad was one of the best salads I have ever eaten, (they whip a little mascarpone into the goat cheese so that it’s light and scrumptious)and our main course (steak and lobster tails and sirloin steak) was flavorful and done to perfection. We weren’t rushed, despite the fact that it was a holiday and the sophisticated ambiance capped off the entire experience.

We were a party of 5 and we were 5 for 5 in describing entrees as excellent.
Service is great - wait staff extremely knowledgeable - discussed the wine and beer list off the top of his head. Water glass was never empty - good sign of attentiveness! No writing, specials, etc. memorized and discussed in detail when asked - orders taken by memory and served flawlessly.

Never a let down. If I could afford it I would eat here 7 days a week. I eat out a lot and it’s sad that no other place compares. Your standards are unachievable to other establishments. The Grille is awesome no matter the city Tyson’s Corner, cherry hill or philly.

Food & service was excellent as to be expected from Capital Grille.
But what was not expected was an IPAD given to us to order a bottle of wine or cocktail? I don’t think I made a reservation for TGI Friday’s? That was shocking, we have dined at Capital Grille before but we felt the IPAD idea took away from the expertise of our server...and truth be told I use an IPAD at work and the last place I want to use one is when choosing $100 bottle of wine.

I think Capital Grille has a little more class than handing out IPAD’s to the customer who wants to take a technology break and have a good conversation over an amazing meal.
