The Capital Grille - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
The food was absolutely amazing, very well prepared, I just felt like it was over priced and the side dishes were not an option with your entree, that was a little disappointing because i paid $54 for a dry aged porterhouse and no sides were included in the price. But it was good.
There's nothing I enjoy more than a fine dining experience and Capital Grille delivers consistently. They offer delicious steakhouse classics that are always executed with perfection and the wait staff serves with great attention to detail. This is a great spot when you're in the mood to treat yourself to a night of fine dining as it should be. Of note the rack of lamb, lobster mac and cheese, cream spinach, and craft cocktails are delicious, not to mention everything else on the menu. Dare I say it, flawless.
Went for restaurant week, everything was incredible. I would highly recommend. If you get the opportunity to have Robbie as your waiter you are in for a treat, he is maybe the best waiter I’ve had at any restaurant in the world. To management, please keep Robbie around he is worth his weight in gold, he turned a very good experience into an amazing one
WE went for restaurant week and it was delicious. We had the clam chowder soup and salad for appetizers. We also had the cheeseburgers....soooo delicious. We also had the chocolate cake and creme brulee. Great lunch and it was such a bargain. Our waiter was Michael. He was fabulous. thank you for a fabulous lunch.
wE MET FOR LUNCH WITH AN OLD FRIEND DURING RESTAURANT WEEK.
tHE VALUE WAS GREAT, THE FOOD DELICIOUS. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT OUR FRIEND WAS SEATED AT ONE TABLE AND US AT ANOTHER. MAYBE THE PROBLEM WAS THAT HE DIDN'T MENTION OUR LAST NAME WHEN HE TOLD THE HOSTESS THAT HE WAS MEETING FRIENDS. WHEN WE DID GET TOGETHER, WE HAD AN ENJOYABLE VISIT.
Simply beautiful. I have never been in such a cozy and romantic restaurant. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary, and before we even got to our table they had set it up with a beautiful rose, a kind card, and little heart confetti. The food was very flavorful, but not to over powering, and was big enough to fill you. We had the server Danny. He made the night extremely special. With his vibrant and sweet personality, me and my boyfriend got the best service. I will definitely be going back to The Capital Grill, and requesting Danny's section.
I loved dry aged sirloin steak and bread the most.
I work in Philadelphia for many years but this is the first time I dined in the capital grille, came in at restaurant week and lunch time. Overall, I gave good recommendations for this restaurant.
My sister family in Boston and another sister in California will visit this restaurant.
Waiter Bob is very professional and pleasant.
I will come back.
Hi, our server was professional but not very personable.
We ordered the lobster bisque; it was tepid at best which made it less enjoyable & my salmon was over cooked. I’d stopped going to CG because they weren’t meeting my expectations and this visit proves why.
We had a reservation, arrived before our reservation time to check in, and yet still had to wait 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Being pregnant, and not even being seated until 40 minutes after our reservation time was extremely frustrating. The food was delicious, I would recommend so long as you are not in a rush or pregnant and starving.
Pretty great food, went there for restaurant week. The waiter seemed really standoffish to us, and a little rude.. He put all the effort into the older, seemingly wealthier couple at the table next to us. He would try to make them conversations and be very warm, but with us he seemed to care less and all the charm was gone. My boyfriend and I are very polite people, it was just fustrating to see that kind of contrast a table over... I guess he wanted a better tip from them. The food was great though! Best mashed potatoes you'll ever have.
