The Capital Grille - NY- Wall Street Ratings and Reviews
I took my uncle for lunch. From the minute we sat down, the waitress was very attentive to our needs. She had a vast knowledge of the menu and aided us in making our choices for drinks and food. She was very nice and kept asking us if we were okay and needed anything else. The food was soooo good. I had the sirloin steak and creamy mashed potatoes and my uncle the swordfish. The food was amazing, the burst of spices with the potatoes was so yummy.
Extremely poor service. We go there often. Service is always hit or miss. Such a shame they cannot be consistant. This service was all over the place. That kills the experience and price remains the same. Actually they even charge me for something I did not order so make sure you double check your bill.
The Capital Grille met all of my expectations from start to finish. We were seated downstairs, which was quieter than the bar area and better for conversation. The service was top notch, and even for restaurant week when I expect service to be sub par. The quality of the steak and produce was exceptional and was just what I was hoping for. You will pay a pretty penny for this meal, but trust that it is worth it.
The sirloin steak with salad was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crust. The salad made it a great well balanced lunch. We hope to see this selection permanently on the menu. Its our favorite.
Waiters and waitresses are always cheerful and welcoming. We love this place!!!
I love love love Capital Grille. I come here every year (sometimes twice a year) with my sister and we enjoy every morsel of our meals. The staff is personable without being intrusive, we feel incredibly welcome and we leave feeling like we've had a magical time. I can't wait to come back again and again and again.
I usually have a great experience at Capital Grille which was why I took my 2 co-workers there for their birthdays which was noted in my reservation AND communicated to the host and waitress. There was zero acknowledgement of that. One of my coworkers ordered a burger that was cooked more than he requested, his salad had too much fresh pepper ground on top and again no recognition of birthdays or option to substitute the desserts which were included in restaurant week lunch but neither worked fir the birthday guests. Very disappointing this time.
Chris our server was great unfortunately ,3 out of 8 of us were not happy with dry aged sirloin over arugula. the steak was delicious , but the roasted pepper, arugula were soggy and the goat cheese wasn't great. we were actually shock. Steak was good though. Again Chris was great which is why we didn't even bother telling him. he was so busy and did his best to accommodate us. I would still come back but I guess yesterday just wasn't a good day for the chef
Great food and service.
I enjoyed the service. I will be returning again. The food was exceptional. The NY Strip dry aged was a hearty 18 oz and seasoned well. The filet mignon was tender and succulent. Cocktails need some more variety but overall great wine selection.
I’ve been to this location several times. While I had a rest meal, this was the first time I found the experience slightly lacking. Additionally, I wish the chefs would take better care in making sure that portions are consistent. My friend and I had the same salad and she got considerably more than me; my mother and I got the salmon and hers was about a third bigger than mine. I’m not used to restaurants of this caliber being so inconsistent with portions.
