Have had great luck before at Capital Grille but this time they undercooked both our filets and then charred them the second time. Service was just average. The wrong beverage was brought to me at first. On the positive side, the desserts were great!

The swordfish was insultingly small, i can't even believe you would charge $55 for a piece half the size of a cellphone. I was very disappointed with that.

They always make you feel special at the capital Grille. Our server Diana was outstanding she made my wife’s birthday even more special than what it was. Her attention to detail and her friendly attitude is a complement to work.

We never have had a bad meal here yet. The food is always delicious and service always great. Would recommend to anyone. Had our daughters engagement dinner at the one on Long Island. They did a wonderful job. Having her rehearsal dinner there also.

Very bad experience considering the price point of this restaurant. We had gone for a special occasion. Part of our order was late, the scallops we ordered were rubbery, and after asking for specifics on our desert order, they brought something different. Would take issue so much except that they charge $50 an entre. At more than $100 a person for a full dinner, one would think the service and food quality would be much better. We've eaten several times at the Capital Grille in Paramus and had an excellent experience. We were very disappointed in the Manhattan location.

Second time there was just as great as the first! We will return.

Fantastic food, wine, service and facility.

After our broadway show, we wanted a quiet yet decent meal. The restaurant was convenient and comfortable and quiet. My husband wanted a steak and I wanted a seafood or vegetarian option. The scallops were very delicious, and he loved the surf and turf (filet tournados and lobster tail). The ambience and service was wonderful, and highly recommend this restaurant.

I had accompanied my wife to New York for a conference and we decided to have a "date night" while there. the Capital Grill was a great choice. Great drink menu, food menu, and service.

The food was fabulous! The overall experience was breathtakingly amazing!

Billy our server was outstanding. He was funny, quick to help us, personable, and made great recommendations. We were there for a small bachelorette party and he brought out a delicious dessert tray reading congratulations, free of charge. Billy was the best server and he made the experience very enjoyable!

Food and atmosphere were very enjoyable. Our server was great! He brought us everything we needed at a good pace, so that didn’t feel rushed.

The food was sub par. The Caesar salad was dry and sad. The lettuce was beyond limp and the croutons non existent. We had many courses, but the only one that tasted good was the lobster crab cakes and the side of greens beans. Step it up, Capital Grille!

I went to the Capital Grille-NY- Time Life Building with my daughter and my niece on 4/13/18. I had gone to the Capital Grille in Tampa, FL and had an amazing experience. This occasion was for my niece's birthday. Everything was wonderful. We first walked into the restaurant and were greeted by two very friendly hostesses. We had a drink in the bar at a table and the server was fantastic. From there we were shown to our table and everything was magical after that. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The wine and drinks were great too. Our waiter was topnotch. We loved everything and cannot wait to go back!!

This was my first time dining at the Capital Grille. I will stay that it will not be my last. Although our price tag for the evening was hefty, my friends and I felt that it was worth every penny. The lobster bisque does not disappoint nor do the crab cakes and tuna tartare!

We often choose the Capital Grille. We live within walking distance. Food is consistently excellent. The food is also. We recommend the Capital Grille to friends, and to anyone reading this review. Make a reservation. Can be very busy.

Their aged steak, medium rare, is like cutting seasoned butter.. and it tastes just as good. With mushrooms and asparagus you cannot go wrong. Will save room for dessert next time. Highly recommended. See you again soon.

Food could have more flavor

I spent 6 hours here. I had time to kill so I had lunch at the bar; I had Tuna Tartare with Avocado and Siracha. It was outstanding and simple- but so fresh it blew me away. I had a great bottle of wine which was under 100 (cheaper for a high end steakhouse). 2 more of the same at dinner. The staff was great as I sat there for 3+ hrs. The dinner and steak was as always really good. I had made a reservation that was changed to a larger table and one guy didn't make it, no issue to the staff. I have been to 3 (of?) CG's in the city, probably 15 times in total. All 3 have never disappointed.

After a long day of sight seeing, a delicious dinner in a pleasant setting was perfect. We have dined at Capital Grilles in other locations so we assumed that the food would be excellent and we were not disappointed

Very attentive service, surprisingly quick, great cut of steak. Could literally cut my strip steak with a butter knife. My wife had the salmon and was very happy. We’ll keep this spot on our list for future trips to the city.

We had a reservation for 7pm. We arrived early and they sat us immediately. Great service , my aged strip steak and lobster tail were delicious.

We ended up going during Happy Hour and although we had a reservation in the dining room we wanted to sit at the bar. Gabe, Mike and Roger were the best bartenders I have encountered in a very long time! Gabe helped my bestfriend and I with our meal selections and continued to check on all guests also ensuring we were good to go. Mike and Roger made by far top 3 best mojitos I have ever tried. This is someplace we came after having issues with others our reservations at Ruth Chris. We have a new found love for Capitale and their staff so this will now be our lunch and happy hour go to!

We have been to several Capital Grilles around the country and this was the worst. The steak was just not up to par; the tuna was OK, but not top notch; other food was OK. The service was attentive, but in one case inexperienced and poorly trained: I asked for a single malt neat and it came with ice (what bartender would do that?) and then brought back with the ice drained out, but still cold and watered from the ice. What was once a very good steak house seems now to be a tourist trap.

Capital Grille still remains to be one of my favorites! Always great service and excellent steak. Don’t forget to try the lobster Mac and Cheese!

This is not my first time dining at The Capital Grille. However, it is my first time at the Time Life location. Not only is the food exceptional but the customer service is as well. More than once throughout the dinner, a manager came by to ask how we were enjoying our meal. The waitress was excellent and recommended the lobster tail special which was a great choice. This restaurant is one of my faves and will be where I'll be celebrating my birthday but in the NJ location.

I ordered Salmon entrée for lunch. The Salmon was a small square piece, which is a lot smaller than I expected. It came with lots of salad on the plate which make the whole dish beautiful. The salmon tasted great, and the salad was amazing. Lots of mango chunks in the salad which made the salad really good. Overall, I loved the food and the service.

Family trip to Nee York - enjoyed a great meal here on our last nite . Very nice steaks and good service .

I have been going to Capital Grille for over 8 yrs. It is the only steakhouse I would recommend to my family visiting from the UK for a proper steak. They were pleased with the service and the meal was excellent.

Food as normal was superb. Great menu and served to perfection. I really can’t faulty this place. We are from uk and we head to a Capital Grille every place we visit in the states
