From the service to the food- perfect! We had a table of five for a business lunch. We were seated in the rear room so the noise level was much better for conversation.
Plenty of great choices for lunch.

It was a comedy of errors. First they put the wrong cut of meat on my plate. My wife had my cut and I had hers, both at the wrong temperature. I would have just swapped with her, however she got surf and turf and i'm allergic to shellfish. Then half way through the meal the roof starts leaking. It was dripping down on to our table, down the back of my suit, and all over the food. I brought it up to the waiter and since we were already seated, they didn't want to move us and dirty another table. They just said sorry. It was absolutely horrendous. I am a very easy going person, all that would have been necessary was to fix the meat mistake and move our table. No harm no foul. I was livid leaving. A nearly $300 meal that was worse then a trip to longhorn. The only gesture they made was to give A complementary piece of cake. Thanks...

Tonights service was phenomenal. The host Mark was AMAZING! When you go out for dinner the service begans with the experience you have with the Staff. Each time we come to Capital, Mark provides the ultimate experience setting the bar for all the Staff you come in contact with. Not only did I have good company, food and drinks but Mark gave us exceptional service.

Reserved a table here for Valentine's night during a quick trip to NYC. After some confusion at the host/check in, we were seated in a small dining room in the back which was ideal due to the level of business (the main dining room would've had much more noise and traffic with couples celebrating Valentine's Day). We were immediately greeted by our servers Christian and James (I hope I got their names right) who were nothing short of exceptional all evening long. For someone who'd spent 15 years working for private/country clubs and other fine dining options in my youth, I was very impressed with their timing and attention to detail.
We started with shrimp cocktails which to our surprise consisted of five large prawns each which could not have been more flavorful. Next the salad course with one wedge salad and one caesar, again so much fresh flavor and generous portions. For the entree course, we both selected the bone in filet and added a fresh lobster tail to each plate. Plate presentation was traditional with drawn butter and lemon but it was the delicious aroma of the cooked filet that invited us to "dig in". Everything was cooked to perfection, exactly as ordered and every bite as good if not better than the last. We'd added side orders of asparagus and mashed potatoes to compliment our filets, both of which again prepared, seasoned and cooked to perfection.
You'd think the three courses we'd enjoyed would've more than satisfied our appetite but when presented with the dessert menu, I eyed the creme brulee which I never turn down as I'm always in search of the perfect one. It was wonderful with amazing flavor and texture, my only disappointment is that it had been prepared earlier in the day. In my quest, I've noticed most every restaurant does so, instead of carmelizing the sugary top just before service. Maybe it's more of a preference for me, it was still a tasty treat to end our absolutely perfect evening and amazing dining experience!

This restaurant is my go to place when I take clients out. It always impresses, and provides outstanding steaks & impressive service. I have never had a bad meal here, nor a bad experience (well...except the bill, if you're not watching how many "high-end" glasses of wine you're drinking!

We went to The Capital Grill for NYC Restaurant week, and the service has been outstanding even if we were going to pay just $42 (which is a lot less than the average there). The meat is its best offer and the view from the glass pyramid is great. Recommended.
