Favorite go to steakhouse anytime. The best quality food for your money of any restaurant offered during restaurant week. The decor is upscale and service is outstanding.
Food and service (Steve K was excellent)
Natalie Acosta our waitress of choice every time is truly outstanding and professional 🌟
Steak was surprisingly hard, and neither I nor my client could finish eating. Fried calamari was very good.
It's always a treat to eat at Capital Grille Chrysler Center. The steaks are always prepared just the way they are ordered.
While the food and the service were really good, I was surprised we weren’t offered the Restaurant Week menu. Customers shouldn’t have to ask for that.
Capital grill friendship heights (in DC) was our favorite steakhouse over the last five years with impeccable food and hospitality. And so was the branch at the Chrysler building - however with several hiccups as to the service since we had to ask five different people for the restaurant week menu before finally getting a hold of one. Besides, it was ridiculously loud with the dining masses,- all of this mayhem owed probably to the restaurant week...
Went here for Restaurant week lunch. The location and ambiance and all is very nice. The service was nice, though we were handed off to some sort of a high end busboy that was using a sweeper in between our order and bringing out the food. The busboy was a bit gruff, seetting stuff down hard rather than gently. That's minor, I know. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, but had a bit of a fishy flavor. My companion had the hamburger and truffle fries. The truffle flavoring on the fries was overpowering. The hamburger was standard fair for a steakhouse. Good, but nothing special. Overall it was a very good meal and it's a very good place to take someone for a business lunch or dinner, etc.., but this tasted like a chain restaurant. A high end one, but a chain none the less.
This was my husband and my first dinner here, and we had another couple join us. My husband and I shared the lobster/crab cakes which were delicious. Our friends shared oysters and also liked them. We all had Ceasar salads and fillet minion steaks which we shared as couples. The four of us shared the saute mushrooms and au gratin potatoes. These side portions were large enough for 4 persons to share. Of course, we all had our various desserts and inhaled them.!
Our waiter, James, was delightful, professional and gave us as much attention as we needed. We have requested to have James work with us next time we dine here.
The restaurant decor is lovely with lots of glass and high ceilings. Their background music is unobtrusive and mellow which allows diners to relax and enjoy each other's company.
None of us could explain what took us so long to decide to eat at The Capital Grille!
The staff at the capital grille Chrysler Center was incredible. The food was unbelievable, but the staff was completely attentive to every want and need. We didn't ask for much but they completely outdid themselves to please us. We ordered the tomahawk steak for two, the cut was not ready so it took a little longer to prepare. The manager Laura came out personally and we were offered a round of drinks for the wait. Our waiter Natalie was awesome, she was funny and kind and made us feel at home. Once the steak was ready. The chef and his staff came to our table to present it and to apologize for the wait. We ordered the truffle fries and lobster mac and cheese and they also added the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes, All were delicious. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and we ordered a creme brulee cheesecake which was so delicious and Natalie sent an espresso cake as well. Overall i give the food 5 stars and the service was way better than i could have imagined, truly a great experience. We will return for sure.
The food was excellent. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold.
You do not go to the Capital Grill for value but for a absolutely top notch dinner and true 5 star service, and that is what we got. Fantastic shrimp cocktail, amazing PERFECT salads and steak you can literally eat with a fork. Service was OUTSTANDING and love the interior decor that mirrors famous building that houses it. A++++
One of my favorite restaurants in NYC! Steak!!
Capital Grille always delivers. Never disappointed when I go there.
As good as it gets
We had a wonderful dinner!! The ribeye was sublime and the service excellent.
Chris is always helpful with recommendations. He is attentive and kind.
Great service and food. Missed having the scallops as a dinner menu option.
New Year’s Eve, they provided Happy New Year hats & tiaras with champagne. We totally didn’t expect it. The ambiance was perfect and the food was delicious. We even received a thank you note from the chef👍🏾I will definitely return.
We have been to The Capital Grille many times before so coming to celebrate New Years’ was a no brainer.
This restaurant never disappoints. Fabulous service and delicious food and drink without paying a premium just because it’s New Years Eve. Since the restaurant was packed, I can only assume the other restaurant patrons agree! No need to go anywhere else for the Best!
Food was amazing. We ordered rib eye, lobster with tenderloin and fillet Mignon. All were delicious. Service is good and fast enough despite the restaurant was crowded. Ambience was good and my family loved to have our new year’s eve dinner here.
Amazing place and amazing service from Tony. Will definitely be back!!
Good quick just while enjoying our selves out of town
James was GREAT! couple of missunderstandings with food but everything went smooth. Would love to come back!
The service was impeccable! Got treated like royalty on my birthday.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and enjoyed every minute of the evening. Our server was very personable and greeted us with best wishes on our anniversary. We were served complimentary champagne and dessert. My wishes for where we wanted to be seated were accommodated. It was the perfect evening.
Barry was our waiter and he was amazing. Everything from intake to service, to food and experience was delightful. Thank you.
Brittney was a pleasant, helpful and excellent server . . . she deserves 5 stars. Food was excellent, both starters and steaks! The 4 star service overall is a knockdown for wine steward's lack of wine knowledge and understanding of their wine list . . . the wine director was off that evening who would have produced 5 star service with wine knowledge. Notwithstanding their use of a tablet (which one would think tracks inventory, but apparently doesn't) the wine I selected on my own was out of stock. So I put some descriptives to wine steward in search of quick recommendation for a wine of comparable quality at similar price point and after a few minutes of discourse and recognition that the person was simply surfing the tablet looking in the price point, I politely took over . . . my second choice was in stock.
Good food and service. Had to ask for a cherry for my Manhattan. Prices commensurate with the area, i.e., expensive. Lamb chops were very, very good.
Great!!! Everything was wonderful
Used to fantastic. Adequate now. They have almost completely lost their personal service. Happens when you get to big. Better options out there.
Service was terrible. It wasn’t busy. Surprisingly the waiter didn’t greet us and served the wrong entrees to us. Steak was not lean. Disappointment for the first time.
Shrimp cocktail not fresh. Salmon salad underwhelmed.
Rockefeller Centre much better
The service was amazing! Food was delish definitely on my list of top restaurants.
Amazing service - top notch.
Food is excellent.
Absolutely, 100% overpriced - even for NYC.
i like the food and the service and the price but the space is really tight. table is small and space between table is TIGHT again.
