Great Service and setting.
Meat good but still room to improve. Good preparation but the meat itself could be better at this level. Not sure what race they serve. I had the dry age NY Strip.
My favorite steakhouse in NYC! Great staff and food is always exceptional.
Terrific! Food was delicious and cooked to perfection served by a terrific team - never disappoints!
Food was great! Service was impeccable!
Our waitress each time Natalie is a true
Excellent food, wonderful service and excellent wine choices
From being seated until walking out the door, I cannot emphasize what a great dining experience I experienced. Wonderful atmosphere, high quality food, unmatched service from entire staff.
Food was excellent as usual.
Food and service is always excellent, but the tables near the bar are noisy.
Always the tops in quality and service. Two perfectly prepared steaks. Fantastic apps and sides. Our server, Cartlton, was phenomenal.
Excellent..Our Server Natalie was Amazing and made it a great experience...
Amazing. We went for an anniversary and the service was too notch!
Worst experience I have every had at an upscale steak restaurant. The steaks were extremely under cooked - medium rare was ice cold in center. When streak sent back it was returned after other diners had already finished. Server was lingering over our table awkwardly throughout the night. Wine we selected was not available. Further issues with service time on the dessert course. Overall disappointed experience but the location and building were great.
As usual Capital Grille is our favorite - food excellent, food delicious, service professional and amenities (little dessert to celebrate) but would appreciate if free wi-fi could be provided. I can never connect to anyone if I am there. Also noise level is a little high! If these 2 issues could be improved - Capital Grille is A1 !!!
great dinner experience excellent food, cooked to perfection sever Reed was outstanding
Love the service and the food at Capital Grille
Michael and the entire staff was OUTSTANDING, as well as the food!!!
Lovely dinner experience in the middle of a busy NYC weekend. Well appointed and maintained, always good food, expert server, and relatively calm -- not without nice energy, but calm compared to many spots in the area. Will visit again.
As always, service is remarkable, attentive with details paid attention to, but without the hovering. The food is amazing regardless what is ordered, and the desserts delectable [if you're in town currently TRY, u must, the prickly pear sorbet, but if you're more a chocolate kinda person then the warm chocolate cake with cherries is the way to go at all times!]
We came here after work the bar was packed. We took advantage of their amazing Wagyu and wine dinner only $25 from now until November 17 at the bar only. The guy who took our orders messed up. The burgers had to redone and Paul the GM and Anne another bartender accommodated us and made sure we got the correct orders. The staff made up for the errors made with complementary dessert so I ordered creme brulee. I am sure that will never happen again. We will definitely return here because the bar staff were awesome.
Have visited this location frequently and have never had such poor service. Ignored by staff for over 10 minutes-no water, no bread, nothing. Had go to the hostess to ask for service. This Was early in the evening and the restaurant was still relatively empty. Absolutely no excuse for such shoddy and unprofessional service.
As usual, all was great. Our server Natalie was amazing. Thanks
Business trip and dining solo. Very welcoming staff and excellent service
They made my husbands birthday special. Great service!
Aside from portions of our meal being delayed to the table, everything was great. They comped the delayed dish so they were conscious of the issue.
Yes, Capital Grille is pricey but you will have a marvelous meal, exemplary service, and a very relaxing atmosphere. I was there post-theater. Arriving at 5:30 on a Saturday offered a very quiet experience which was more than welcomed after being in the theater district! Drinks were fair with mine being inconsistent between the two that I ordered. Other than that, the evening was spectacular, from the oysters to the filet to the tuna to the wonderfully prepared side vegetables. Portions are sizable. Sides are large enough to share. We only had enough room for a shared dessert of sorbet........coconut. SPECTACULAR! Worth the $$$
For special occasions!
Loved Everything About The Capital Grill!!!
Ambience.. Food.. but ESPECIALLY Tony Our Waiter!!
Cannot Wait To Return!!!!😊😊
Always great food. Request Natalie as your server.
The food was fabulous and the service was incredible as always!!!
Always a pleasure going to my local Capital Grill.
Consistency is the key. They nail it every time!
The service was fantastic. The Generous Pour wines wee excellent. The stem was done just right. The only drawback was the pricey drinks and steaks.
My favorite restaurant in NYC. Service is superb
Went for lunch and the Generous Pour. Outstanding meal and our server Emily was attentive, responsive and charming. Great wine selection to complement every meal.
Great food. Very comfortable. Michael, the waiter was very pleasant and gave us excellent service.
Capital Grille always impresses no matter the city. US Open on @ the bar started w 🍸, lobster Mac n cheese then sliders followed by lava cake. Thanks Krissy for a fantastic evening.
Always reliably excellent The Generous Pour is a real bargain for several good wines staff is always professional and friendly
Great food, outstanding service from Steve and of course the delicious wines of the Generous Pour!! This has been an annual tradition for the past 6 years! Can't wait for next year!
We chose Capital Grille for my daughter’s 25th birthday dinner for both the menu — we wanted a steak-house type restaurant — as well as the convenient location near Grand Central Station. We couldn’t have been more pleased.
We were a large party, which in many restaurants means getting awkwardly seated in a long skinny or L-shaped table. But Capital Grill seated us at a large comfortable round table under the Tower skylights, facilitating conversation and a festive atmosphere amongst our group.
The classic steakhouse and fish dishes we ordered were all consistently well prepared. Quantities were sufficiently ample for a number of us to bring home leftovers (and of course a couple of nice bones for our dog). Similarly. the wine list was deep and robust — it’s presented in a tablet, which helps with navigation as well as prevents the reader getting overwhelmed — and we were able to find a perfect mid-priced Spanish Rioja for the table.
I can’t say enough about the staff and service, particularly our main server Tony. From the minute he arrived at our table, Tony made it clear that we were in for a fun and festive evening. And he didn’t disappoint. He was was funny, helpful, attentive to everyone’s needs and questions, and made our “birthday girl” feel particularly celebrated. Kudos to Tony and his team well as the very warm front desk staff. You made the evening very special.
Not a great crab cake. Waitress was hardly seen after she took our order.
