Unbelievable food! Best steak I’ve ever had!
Great food and great service. I would recommend your restaurant too any one.
A wondering experience.. I always take clients here as I know what to expect
The service was EXCELLENT. Our server Becky was phenomenal!
We had a great pre theater meal. Our server Ryan was a real pro.
Steak over done. Not much interest from waiter to fix it, maybe I did not express enough words around it.
We were well received when we arrived and since we were early our seat wasn't quite ready, so we were told they would find us in the bar. The bar tender made us an excellent mixed drinks, however the bar is busy and crowded. The hostess found us and brought us to our table, where we were served in such a way that made us feel very special. The food was perfect. Since we let our server know it was our anniversary, she brought out Champaign for us to toast with which was very good and fun, and rose petals for our table and a dessert for 2 that had happy anniversary written in chocolate on our plate. The restaurant made it an evening to remember! Thank you!
Out of the five steaks, two were over done. The noise level was very loud.
Great food and treated like royalty. Food was prepared to expectations. We enjoy this family celebration yearly and everybody looks forward to the evening. Chef even sent us out a extra to celebrate the birthdays. Nice touch and tasty. Becky our server was timely and attentive to our needs. Its just nice to be treated like you are a big shooter once a year. Capitol Grille filled the bill and we will see you for our next celebration.
Constant parade of waiters etc. passed our semi circular side booth otherwise as enjoyable as always but will be sure to request no semi booth seating next time
Another exceptional experience and Jeff makes it happen!
We were celebrating our 27th anniversary. They wished us a happy anniversary when we checked in and our table was sprinkled with rose pedals. Then they brought us a complimentary glass of champagne. The service was INCREDIBLE! I had steak, my husband had steak and lobster, and everything absolutely melted in your mouth! The food was AMAZING! After dinner they brought us a "Happy Anniversary" platter with cheesecake, fresh fruit and flourless chocolate cake on it. Everything was scrumptious! The Capital Grille is not inexpensive, but for a special occasion it is worth every penny. The ambiance is gorgeous, and the food and the service are both exquisite! We will definitely return next year for our 28th anniversary!
It was our Anniversary and our service was impeccable! When we arrived, there were rose petals on the table and every staff member from when we checked in to the busboy to our server to the Manager wished us a Happy Anniversary...it was really lovely to have the recognition of our special evening. Our food was great! I had the filet with the cipollini onions, wild mushrooms and fig essence. The medium rare steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The balance of flavors was outstanding and unique. My date had the Gorgonzola butter NY strip with the Cabernet reduction and was exceedingly excellent as well. Both meals made for the best leftover steak sandwiches the next day! I highly recommend the side of wild mushrooms and the green beans with heirloom tomatoes....A great option for those that do not want to fill up on potatoes.
unusual, but both our our steaks were over cooked. Very tasty, but over cooked nonetheless. Also, we both asked for a side of cognac cream sauce, and both came on the steaks after our waiter (Dylan) assured the sauce would be on the side. Is any of this worth sending the steaks back when we are off to see a concert later that night; no! But, I think its time to try another venue before a show at the State or Orphium. When you pay $300+ for a dinner for two; attention to detail should be paramount. Esp when cooking a steak to proper temp! Very tasty, but disappointing.
Anthony was great. He gave us great service. Food was great, capital grille never fails us.
The Capital Grille has a beautiful ordinance and wonderful service. The interior was beautiful. Our Hostess were charming and the valet service was efficient. The food was beyond decadent. I am very particular on the temperature of my steak (and most often am served a over-done steak), and my steak was served at the perfect med-rare, Bravo! The Crème Brûlée was the best I have eaten. It was a light almost whipped custard, topped with a delicate brûlée, and infused with a profuse vanilla flavor from the Madagascar Vanilla Bean. Adam Bartos knows how to make food sexy.
Everything was great, Tony our fav waiter makes the dinner spectacular with his vibrant, fun personality, food just perfect!
Part of my weekend getaway!
Great amazing service thank you Ryan! Food was decent tonight, not as good as last time but still delicious.
Service was great. Food was good although my son's steak was very rare compared to mine even though we had ordered both of them medium. My only complaint was the (apparently new) charge for previously-free valet parking, which added an unexpected $30 to our bill. The change was blamed on "the corporate office". If you are going to take credit for the good, then accept responsibility for the bad.
I can't say enough good things about the Capital Grille. Fantastic service from start to finish with valet parking. helpful and friendly servers, take home items boxed and bagged with the compliments of the chef. Our food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming.
Darren was amazing. Will definitely go back.
All good as usual!
Excellent ambiance, food and service! The location is convenient to theater district.
Delicious ... As always! Tried the kona rub this time. Yum! A new favorite! 😋
Very good would recommend
This is my 5th time at this restaurant and I enjoy myself every time
Everything was good but the cook temp on the requested burgers and steak for lunch was just either over or under the requested. Which is unusual for capital, but everything was good overall
Lynn was extremely efficient and friendly! Food superb. A busy night, however we were seated timely and never felt rushed. Great evening!
Excellent food and service at the start of restaurant week. We had a fantastic time.
Our go to restaurant for fine dining. Consistently excellent food and attentive service. Everything we ate was outstanding. As busy as it was, the drinks came shortly after being ordered and the expresso at the end of the evening was especially appreciated.
Capital Grille never disappoints! Outstanding service, amazing food and drinks. My favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities.
We go many times a year and for some reason they were off tonight. One Cesar salad didn't have any parm on it and neither had any dressing. The rub on the filet wasn't like it was before. We really enjoy this restaurant but tonight it wasn't like we had hoped.
Great restaurant week menu. Service was awesome, food was on point. A bit disappointed to be only party seated in the bar at 3:15pm vs the dining room when we had reservations so my mum lost out on a small amount of the CG experience. But overall a great time.
My fiance and I visited the Capital Grille for my first time. Came away so impressed! Wonderful bartender and great service from our waiter as well. Will be making the Capital Grille part of our normal rotation!
Great service, great food.
Sitting in the bar for dinner is the best place to enjoy the spectacular food and flawless service. The bar has a lively, metro atmosphere compared to the stodgier dining room. Our waiter was attentive and friendly without being intrusive.
it was amazing like always, hands down my favorite restaurant in Minneapolis.
The experience was great. We told them we were there for a late Valentine's Day dinner. They brought a rose to the table to celebrate. We did have to ask what the specials were and for a wine list, they weren't offered. The food was great.
My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day and we had an excellent time. As usual, the food and service was excellent. This is definitely one of the top restaurants in the Twin Cities.
