I greatly appreciated that the Capital Grille recognized my wife’s birthday. They always do a very nice job of making a big deal out of my family’s birthday’s which I greatly appreciate.

The food and the service was excellent. My entire family had a very good time!!

Made a special trip from out of town just to go here . As usual , did not disappoint!

We went for Thanksgiving lunch and it was superb. Our server was very attentive. The meal was delicious. The only negative is our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, but once we got seated it was A+ all the way.

Steaks are fantastic, but overpriced. Excellent service.

Our group always picks a nice restaurant to gather at on this particular business trip. The CG was amazing. I was thoroughly impressed by our server Ryan who was the perfect match for our many different personalities at our table.

Third visit to The Capital Grille and every time has been a pleasure. Matt was awesome, as were all the members of the management and staff. They made my celebration extra special!

We love the Grille and have never been disappointed. We were caught in traffic, so our time allotted for dinner was cut a bit short to be on time for a show. We began with a glass of Prosecco that was well-chilled, crisp, and dry. The salads were next. My husband had a wedge that was generous and smothered in blue cheese dressing and bacon bits. I had the roasted beets with goat cheese and greens. Yummy! To follow the salads, my husband ordered a Filet Oskar which was hearty and cooked to perfection. I had scallops which were tender and moist, served on a bed of root vegetable puree, and dressed-up with snippets of asparagus. Delicious! Wine pairing suggestions were provided by our server who selected a full-bodied Willamette Pinot Noir and a Champagne with a gorgeous golden-pink hue and wonderful flavor. He was spot-on with those recommendations. Unfortunately, we had to forego dessert and coffee. We ever felt rushed and made it to the show in good time, feeling very satisfied, having been well cared for during another pleasant evening at the Grille.

This hurts me to write this review because Capital Grille has always been our solid go-to when we want a fantastic meal. There were four of us. The salads and french onion soup were very good and the squash bisque was excellent. But I had ordered my filet oscar style medium very light on the Bearnaise. The waiter offered to put the sauce on the side which sounded great. My steak was VERY well done (seriously could barely chew) and drowning in Bernaise. Another at our table also ordered a medium filet and it was overcooked as well. The sea bass was very good and the bone in filet was okay. The asparagus and cauliflower sides were very good, but the steaks were SO disappointing. I've never had a bad meal here until this one.

Always superior service, food, and drinks. The entrance gets a little crowded, especially when there is a show at one or more of the nearby theaters. Even though we were a little late, our table was held and we made the show on time. This was mostly because our server told us when to order in order to make it! The best!

Capital Grille never disappoints. Top notch experience for special occasions as well as regular outings. Great food - great staff - great atmosphere.

21 Anniversary

We had a wonderful meal and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening special!

Best meal and dining experience I've had in a long time. From the minute you walk in you feel welcome. Our server, Lynn, was a pro. It was my husbands birthday and she really made it special. The table was decorated with some sparkles and for the first time I can remember, I didn't have to remind the server that it was a special occasion. First rate, first class. Will definitely go again.

We had the Waygu and Wine!! Stags Leap option made it all worth it! Our server, Jeff was attentive and friendly. He really was patient with us. The brussel sprouts were amazing!!!, everytime :)

We have had dinner at several Capital Grille locations and this location ranks in the top 3 for service . I would recommend this location for a great experience. Will be back !!

Always 5 stars. My favorite place to visit.

We had the best birthday celebration at Capital Grille. Lobster bisque had large pieces of lobster in it. Our Porccini bone-in ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were equally as delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. The only downfall from our experience was that the table next to us allowed their small child to sit on one of their phones watching a video at a very high volume until they left about halfway through our meal. The tables around us were also annoyed with this. It was inappropriate and very unfortunate. However, the dessert sampler that is brought out for birthdays was more than enough sweetness for the two of us to share that we could not even finish it after our meals. We will be back, and highly recommend. My favorite steakhouse in the metro by far.

John provided us with exceptional service, and the Wagyu / Wine pairing event was a treat for an impromptu date night

We visited The Capital Grille on a Friday at 4 pm for an early dinner and were seated in the bar. The bar was a little busy but the atmosphere was great and our service was excellent. One of us had the NY strip and one the filet. Both steaks were good portions, seasoned and cooked perfectly to order and the side dishes were also wonderful. This has now become one of my favorite Minneapolis dining locations.

Food and service were exceptional. We were there early as going to the theater so noise level was very low. We did the valet park and that was very smooth also. Will definitely be back. We had the sliced filet. It was done to perfection.
