This location was not great! The food seemed different from the other locations some how. My husband's steak was rare when he ordered medium well. The service was nothing you would expect from a capital grill. Very disappointing.
We have LOVED Capital Grille in the past. This visit fell short! We were felt like the service was lacking! When you spend over $300 for a couple one would expect to feel somewhat pampered...unfortunately we felt more like we were at Outback Steakhouse where we actually have gotten better service. The food was very good, but our server seemed like he was a bit out to lunch!
Capital Grille at Millenia is our go to for a nice celebratory dinner. This occasion was a delightful experience as always. We had a party of 6. The atmosphere is elegant and the noise level still allowed for conversation across the table. I wish they had more wines by the glass, but overall a wonderful evening.
This is a wonderful, wonderful restaurant! It’s “high class” without being stuffy. Service is fantastic. We ask for Jose or Melissa, but I notice that all the servers are very attentive to their diners. I gave the food only 4 stars today because our truffle fries were not quite up to the standard they usually are. They were very good, just not great—as they usually are.
Go to Capital Grille for a memorable experience!
Unfortunately, this particular Capital Grille did not meet any of our expectations. The porterhouse Steak was ordered rare plus and came out medium. It was tough and there was allot of juice on the plate. My feeling is that this was made from frozen and of poor quality it just didn’t have the taste or texture of a fine prime aged steak. The lobster bisque was bland. The tuna tartare was okay but nothing great.
The service was so so. The waiter could tell we weren’t happy with the steak and didn’t even ask to bring another. Probably would not have been any better. Looking back I should have just sent it back and not reordered. The assistant waiter was poorly trained. He dropped the plates of food on the table like he was in a cheap diner. Also had to keep asking for a drink refill instead of them paying attention and making sure things were attended to. This was not a fine dining experience.
The restaurant was really cold. Thankfully I had a jacket but my spouse didn’t bring one. Not that busy for a Friday nite. This location is not up to par in my opinion. For the prices I certainly can’t recommend it. It’s sad because I love Capital Gille in other places but I don’t think the steak was of the same quality and it is supposed to be a fine steak house. Very disappointing. I hate giving a bad review but I want to honestly express my opinion to hopefully be of some help to diners in their choices. We would never return here when visiting Orlando. I hope corporate makes changes to get this location consistent. Also the staff in general just didn’t seem happy.
Birthday nice service
Excellent service by Brittany-personable and appropriately attentive. Very flexible with slight deviations from the menu. Food had great flavor and was service hot.
Food was great
Our first time there and everything was excellent. The service and the food. I treated my husband after being in Singapore working for the last 8 month's and he loved the food. Lol, I was glad. We'll be back soon.😄😄😄😄
ginger rice was cold. Everything else was amazing.
We love going to Capital Grille for special occasions. The food and service are always exceptional.
We always have a great experience and our service has always been amazing
Planned a special 60th birthday dinner and the staff went far and above my expectations to make this an amazing evening! Private dining room, champagne toast, rose petals...,food was unanimously perfect- we had lamb chops, salmon, beef tenderloin...all superb! Wonderful sides, cocktails...and a special happy birthday dessert...made this an amazing celebration
This was probably the best lobster roll I’ve had outside of Maine. Started with the tuna tartare, wow. The wife and I finished with a blend of strawberries raspberries BlackBerries and blueberries. That’s the way to finish your meal when you want to stay looking like Superman.
Love the this team!
Always good and consistent. One of my favorite steak house.
We’ve always enjoyed our visits to the Capital Grille but this was our first trip to their Millenia location. Jason was our server and he was on his game.....very charismatic and enjoyed talking with us. Since it was a Sunday evening nothing was rushed or too slow either. From the shrimp cocktail, to pear & Gorgonzola salad, to the porcini rubbed rib eye everything was perfect! And after all that Jason came out with a complimentary dessert & glasses of bubbly to celebrate my birthday. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Thanks Jason!!!
Steak was ordered medium and another medium rare and they were both well done
It’s the Capital Grill, no need to review unless you have to write a review an a Rolls Royce.
I thought the dining experience was outstanding but I felt as thought my steak could've tasted better. Maybe I should've gotten my steak medium rare instead of medium. But my servers were first class and they explained the menu to me and my date. Very helpful for me considering it was my first time.
The service was excellent. The food was cooked perfectly.
Valentine’s Day was the occasion. Had a great time with my date. The atmosphere was nice and food was great. The customer service was fantastic. I would definitely go back.
When we arrived the hostess did not have our reservation. When I should her on my phone she ignored me. They said they could not give us a booth because we had no reservation. We felt a bit out of sorts.
Our server was attentive and as well gave great suggestions on choices for our date night
Server has great.
Rob was a fantastic and attentive server👍🏻👍🏻
This is by far our favorite Capital Grill and we travel 2.5 hours as the Capital Grill near us in NE FL isn't as good. We were here for my husband's birthday and everything was very good though we didn't get that nice little perk of a dessert at the end of the meal which we'd become used to (and one reason we always celebrated his birthday here.) Maybe it was an oversight or maybe they don't do it any more. Or, as the day after Valentine's day, maybe just too busy. It is just something we always appreciated after spending well over $100 per person in food, wine and drinks.
Everything was fine until the food came out. The waiter spilled a plate of asparagus on me and nobody seemed to care. No visit from a a manager or anything... Ordered a $50 steak med rare and the filet was still moving it was so rare. Would of told the bartender but she didn’t check on if we liked the food so she would of never have known. I’m Never coming back here. Way over priced and can’t even cook a steak to temp. It was a laughable experience honestly
The food was good but not great for the price. I’m not much of a steak eater so I had the salmon which was quite tasty. My wife had the filet minion which she said was not very flavorful. Overall experience was good.
Last year was our first experience with The Capital Grill at the Mall at Millenia. Because of our FABULOUS waitress last year (Nicole Merlino) it was a foregone conclusion that we would not get a repeat experience. Ambience was great for Valentines Day. Food was a mixed bag: appetizer, calamari was “ok”; soups, clam chowder and mushroom bisque were great; steaks , bone-in ribeye were magical and the Brussel sprout dish was great. Au Gratin potatoes had potential; had a good taste but was undercooked. Desserts were pretty good. Our waiter was attentive just not as good as Nicole. Overall a very good experience. I applied for a 10-year food loan on the way out. We’ll be back next year if the stock market behaves. Otherwise.... McDonalds.
The Capital Grill at Mall of Millenia is outstanding. The food, ambience, and service staff are fantastic1
We usually have Brittany or Leo as our servers but they were unavailable the last time we were there. We had another waiter who was also outstanding. Love to return whenever we can. The steaks are to die for!!
We went to Capital Grill for Valentines Day. The service and food was excellent. We plan to return on our next special occasion.
My wife and I dined on 2/13/19, our anniversary date. We make this our tradition as the service and quality of food is second to none. They have the table pre-set with rose pedals and confetti to help us celebrate the occasion. Everyone from the manager, Dave, to the wait staff, to the people who clean the tables are fantastic!!!! We used to go The Capital Grille on International Drive but now prefer the one at Millennia. Both are excellent.
We made a reservation for the day before Valentines Day because of the Marketing around it being special with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We got there for our reservation and they told us the only booth was in the corner of the bar where it was cold, dark, and noisy. The food was quick and decent but I had to ask about the champagne 3 times before they brought it over. We never got the strawberries and it took us 20-30 minutes to get our check as our server chatted with the table next to us. It was very obvious that they were not organized or ready for the occasion and it was not the special occasion we expected from Capital Grille. I guess we will try something new for the next special occasion.
As usual 1st class service food and a great place to celebrate an anniversary (55 years), birthday (N/A), and Valentines Day!
Everyone regarding service was outstanding - the bar, checking in, and the wait staff...all great...
My only complaint was that it was very loud to have business conversations. Other than that, it was like most Capital Grille experiences.
We have never dined at the Millenia, Orlando location. We are used to eating at Capital Grille and have enjoyed many wonderful meals there. We were town for the Opera so we decided to go to dinner at the Capital Grille. We both had filet mignon and a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli. Our food was cooked to perfection. Our server was exceptional and went the extra mile to make our night special. Our only issue was the room that we were seated in was small and cramped with only four tables. The restaurant was not even half full so we don't understand why were placed there. The hostess seemed stressed and inattentive to our needs. Overall the meal was excellent, but the ambience was greatly missing.
The food was outstanding! The whole experience was fantastic! I highly recommend this place.
Yes I would recommend The Capital Grille however I would also share our specific concerns regarding our dining experience. For the quality of food we feel that the prices are higher than the quality received. Two cocktails for $30.00, and the steaks were expensive for the size and quality. We had the 10 oz filet and the bone in NY Strip. Our side of FF's was $11. We are use to dining in good steakhouses (Morton's, Fleming's, Bern's in Tampa, Ruth's Chris and steakhouses in the U.S. and even some around the world) and I would place The Capital Grille near the bottom of the list per the comments noted above. With my NY Strip I ordered two of the small S African lobster tails and the tails were served cold, the waiter took them back and shortly returned with the tails. The second time the tails were almost as cold as the first serving. Most disappointing for this level of a restaurant. They did remove the lobster tail charge from our tab and also provided us with complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Our server, Michael, was kind and knowledgeable.
