Everything was excellent. Our server, Marshall was great. He knew just how to keep everything moving and gave great information about the choices. We were celebrating my birthday and they made me feel like they cared about my special day. Our food was prepared perfectly and the creamed corn was fresh and so good. The calamari was excellent make sure you request the dipping sauce, it takes it up another level. I’m not a cheesecake fan but there cheesecake was great light and creamy. The flourless chocolate cake is a chocolate lovers dream. It’s been about seven years since we went to The Capital Grille but it is definitely back on the list of our top restaurants.

Always great food and wine options at Capital Grill. Never a bad meal, always delicious food and fantastic service. We've been to many in different cities and its always perfect. We'd definitely recommend for any occasion. Seafood, pasta, steaks all done to perfection.

We celebrated our Anniversary at the Capital Grill Memphis. The food was outstanding, warm and cooked to perfection. The Lamb Chops and Rib Eye were outstanding. Our server Alec was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We will defiantly be returning to dine here again.

We are frequent patrons of The Capital Grill, and feel its one of the few fine dining experiences available in the city. This past experience, however, was not up to the standard we’re used to. Granted we were 15 minutes late for our reservation, so it was partly our fault. However, it took over 10 minutes to be greeted, took several minutes for drinks to be served, we didn’t receive the standard bread basket until half way through the meal and when we did it wasn’t fresh. (Hard from being reheated) My husband’s steak was overcooked (server did offer to bring another, but we didn’t want to wait) and our server seemed anxious and rushed the entire time. When you pay several hundred dollars for a fine dining experience, you expect to receive top notch food and service. Unfortunately, this time Capital Grill grossly missed the mark.

The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizer was amazing as was my sea bass entree. The creamed corn side was excellent, but the au gratin potatoes were average at best; too many bread crumbs and too dry. The cheesecake was amazing as always. Heather is an excellent server and really makes the experience a great one!

Rachel was our server and she was AMAZING. However my food was very subpar. This was my 3rd dining experience and sadly I will not be returning. The food was just not that good.

My tenderloin salad wasn’t great. Tenderloin was way over cooked for medium rare (every time I’ve eaten it there it has been overcooked), salad was heavy on the dressing and cheese, wilted lettuce.

Our only disappointment was the table selection, in a small room perhaps used for small business groups on occasion. That said, it was noticeably quieter than the rest of the restaurant while missing out on the vibe of not being out there. The service was perfect, the wait for food was moderate, but it was a Friday evening. The meal and dessert were wonderful.

It’s the first time this year that I came in to try the generous pour. It’s a cool experience and well worth it experience especially for a couple who enjoy wine or just want to learn more.

Very disappointed this was Anniversary dinner, had to wait 10 minutes for server to come to the table. Steak tartar was chopped steak with spices, not the way to make it. Filets were cooked med rare not rare as requested. Texture was more like a choice grade not prime. Spinach was served 10 minutes after entree, had to ask where it was 3 times. For $300 dinner was disappointing for both the service and meal. Not likely to returm. Interesting no response

My experience was a bit different than my usual. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and the table is set up very beautifully and there is a card but the moment we got our appetizer, there were a few shells in our crabcake not many, and there is also an extreme char on the backside of my bone in ribeye, resulting in me having to send it back, besides that our server was amazing the ambience was great and the scenery was beautiful. Thank you all.

The ambience was amazing. Initially, I was concerned because it took the waiter a moment to get our table but t worked out. The food was immaculate and brought out quickly. This was a very special birthday dinner that my wife will not forget. We will be back.

Excellent dining experience! The food was delicious, as always, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite and sip. We did the “Generous Pour” wine tasting, which was fun and interesting. A huge thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable server, Darryl. He timed everything perfectly and checked on us continuously without being a nuisance.

Truly great food and great service. Capital very professional and know their jobs! The executive chef was excellent. There was a mistake with one of our plates, and he was extra apologetic and did everything to make our meal perfect . Everyone went above and beyond . We have been several times and will continue to go!

Capital Grille is consistent. It may not knock your socks off every time but it will never be bad. Bad thing is, the price will always be fairly high. I do like the fact that CG seems to be enforcing dress codes and rules of comportment, which an upscale restaurant should always do. CG will stay on my rotation of Memphis steakhouses.
