Wonderful Birthday month celebration with good friends...excellent service by all especially Emily...we will look forward to the next time!

We went for my Dad’s birthday. Valet is complimentary which is nice because even the closest parking will require you to cross a street. We were seated immediately in a nice side room. I suggest no jeans or tennis shoes. Our waitress was great, we had Emily. She suggested some great options that weren’t on the menu listed for the evening. I ended up with a very tender steak topped with king crab. The portions are a good size and I was unable to finish even after sharing with the table. They will pack up your leftovers for you and bring it back in a sturdy paper bag. This is my second visit and the complete experience has always been wonderful. My dad really enjoyed the evening.

Steak was burnt. Well done does not equal burnt. Wait staff should inquire if the mind the crust on their steak.

Went for Valentine’s and were seated on the covered/enclosed/heated patio and although it was raining and windy we were comfortable. It was lovely to be surprised with a complementary glass of champagne, a rose and chocolate covered strawberries! Meals of tuna, steak and asparagus were perfect. We always have a wonderful time here❣️

We walked in and was greeted immediately with smiling faces. We were seated within a minute and our waiter was there within 2minuits. We ordered a cocktail that was in front of us within 5minuits and we had our appetizers 5 minutes after that. The food took a total of 17 minutes and was tastefull and elegant. The meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were the best part of all.

Maybe it's due to Valentine's day. But food took a while to arrive and steaks got cold pretty quickly, as they were out for a while.

I TOOK MY WIFE HERE FOR OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY WE HAD RESERVATIONS SATURDAY THE 13TH 2021 AT 10:45pm AND I WILL (NEVER GO HERE AGAIN)!!!!!!. EVERYONE WAS RUDE AND KEPT RUSHING US BECAUSE THEY WERE ABOUT TO CLOSE. WE WANTED TO HAVE A ROMANTIC EVENING BUT PEOPLE DINING AROUND US WERE BEING LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS. WE COULDNT EVEN HEAR EACH OTHER WHEN WE WERE TRYING TO TALK. THE ATMOSPHERE FELT LIKE WE WERE IN A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, THEY WERE TRYING TO RUSH US IN AND RUSH US OUT. OUR WAITER WAS TABITHA AND SHE KEPT TELLING US THE KITCHEN CLOSES IN 5 MINUTES SO WE DIDN'T GET TO READ THROUGH THE MENU AT ALL AND JUST ORDERED WHAT WE HAD ORDERED LAST TIME WE ATE HERE. FOOD TASTED LIKE THEY GAVE US LEFT OVER FOOD FROM THE NIGHT. WE HAD PLANNED ON ORDERING A BOTTLE OF WINE TO GO WITH OUR DINNER BUT WE COULDN'T DO THAT EITHER BECAUSE OUR SNOBBY WAITER SAID THAT PART OF THE RESTAURANT WAS ALREADY CLOSED AS WELL. WAITER DIDNT EVEN ASK US IF WE WANTED DESSERT INSTEAD SHE JUST BROUGHT US A LUMP OF CHOCOLATE THAT TASTED DISGUSTING. AT THE END OF THE NIGHT I PAID $193.50 WITH MY CARD AND SIGNED THE RECEIPT AND HAD LEFT IT ON THE TABLE. BUT OUR SNOBBY WAITER APPARENTLY LOST THE RECEIPT AND RAN UP BEHIND US AS WE WERE ALREADY ABOUT TO CROSS THE STREET JUST TO TELL ME SHE NEEDED THE SINGED RECEIPT I EXPLAINED I HAD LEFT IT ON THE TABLE & SHE SAID TO ME AGAIN SHE NEEDED IT AT THIS POINT I DIDN'T CARE WHAT SHE DID OR DIDN'T NEED AND I TOLD HER SO GO BACK IN THERE & FIND IT.. I EXPLAINED YOU MUST HAVE DROPPED IT SHE WAS VERY RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL TO ME & MY WIFE. IM SORRY BUT WHY DOES YOUR RESTAURANT GIVE THE OPTION TO MAKE A RESERVATION AT 10:45 IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE BEST SERVICE AND FOOD THAT CAPITAL GRILLE SHOULD PROVIDE FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I SPENT THERE!!!!

Celebrating our Sweet 16 anniversary. Delicious food, great ambiance and wonderful service. John was excellent in helping us with menu options. Be sure to try the lobster and steak and the lobster bisque.

Great meal as always. However, server was slow in arriving and delivering first drink order afterwards everything was as expected.

Went for a Birthday dinner. It was awesome.. go there for special occasions because it is pricey. The food was awesome, waiter was great. Will go back again

The food is definitely overpriced. The steak was fatty. The wedge salad was awful, minimal amount of bacon and tomatoes and the lettuce was less than fresh. We had to repeatedly ask for things like straws, lemons, pepper.

Good time with the family

The atmosphere and service was top notch. The staff were amazing and did a great job ensuring we had a good celebratory event. The food was good, but definitely not on the exceptional level. For the price, which is the most I have ever paid in Jacksonville, I expected the quality to be the highest I’ve ever enjoyed. Unfortunately it was better than average but didn’t warrant the price we paid. The desserts were definitely the highlight of the meal. I would suggest just doing the desserts here as a finish from somewhere else for the main course.

My family and I go to the Capital Grille several times a year and it’s always just as fabulous as we remember. They are very consistent and the service is always exceptional.
