Wife and I made a reservation for my birthday. Noise level was pretty high, may have had something to do with the 20 top we were sat next to. We were greeted by Tony within a minute of being sat. Ordered the calamari as an app, served in about 8 minutes after we got our drinks. The mojito my wife received didn’t have any grapes that were described on their menu but was delicious nonetheless. Tony’s table presence was great, our waters were never empty and he made all of his table visits without being overly intrusive. Requested the Veal Tomahawk medium with Lobster Mac and my wife ordered the Salmon with green beans. Lobster Mac was ok, lacked flavor, but the texture was perfect. Salmon was cooked perfectly, as were the beans. Beans lacked flavor as well, but nothing a little table salt and pepper couldn’t fix. Best part of the meal was the Veal. Perfect medium cook, the balsamic glacè on the plate was absolutely AMAZING, full of flavor and really took the dish to another level. Once we were full, which, due to the portion sizes, happened quite quickly, we asked for the dessert menu and Tony told us “Don’t worry, I have something special planned for you”. He then brought out two, small birthday dessert cakes, one was chocolate with a hint of expresso powder maybe? I couldn’t put my finger on it, but with the whipped cream and mint paired next to iron the plate, I didn’t even care to ask. I had another cheesecake on the other side of the plate with sugar in the raw caramelized on top and berry compotes on the sides of both cakes. From the looks of it (I was too full to eat the cheesecake) the wife enjoyed it. We will undoubtedly ask for Tony by name on our next visit.
