    Steaks here are usually cooked to perfection. Not this time. Party of 6, 3 of us had bone-in dry aged NY strips; all but 1 were overcooked. One asked for Pittsburgh-style, but did not get it that way. Cocktail service was slower than anticipated, but not a huge deal on a busy Saturday night. Apps were good, wine service was responsive. The steak experience was the only disappointment, which is the first time I’ve said this about capital grille

    From the moment we walked into The Capital Grille, we knew we were in for something special—but what truly elevated the entire experience was our incredible server, Lucian. His professionalism, warmth, and in-depth knowledge of the menu made our night unforgettable. He guided us through the selections with genuine care and made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. One of the standout highlights of the evening was their generous pour tasting—a brilliant touch that allowed us to sample a variety of wines before settling on the perfect pairing for our meal. It’s that kind of thoughtful detail that sets Capital Grille apart. The food, as expected, was phenomenal. From the perfectly seared steaks to the indulgent sides and decadent dessert, every bite was perfection. But it was the flawless service from Lucian that truly made the evening memorable. He was attentive without being intrusive and made sure every part of our meal was seamless. If you’re looking for a top-tier dining experience with exceptional service, refined ambiance, and thoughtful touches like a generous pour tasting, The Capital Grille (especially with Lucian as your server) is the place to be.

    Amazing service. Miguel our server has always taken care of us. Always goes above and beyond to cater to our needs. Food was great as always. One of my favorite restaurants to go to.

    Fort Lauderdale's Capital Grill was once the flagship steak house in Broward County. Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone corporate and lost not only its individuality but also the quality and choices of wines to accompany a meal. The lounge area once housed historical portraits of influential citizens known for their contributions to the community and South Florida. These have been taken down and replaced by what is purportedly "art" but actually are bad random images of statues, palate art street scenes peppered with deceased sports figures and musicians. Images and quality that you would see in the lobby of a Holiday Hotel. This month there is a wine promotion for $45.00 - a good price for samplings if you are so inclined until you see the quality of the wine. One example: Rombauer Chardonnay, Napa Valley. Otherwise known by many as "cougar wine" for its inexpensive price and sweet oaky flavor. Need I say more? Check out the menu and wine promotion for more detail. On a positive note, staff was wonderful and the lobster salad delicious and presented as ordered, dressing on the side.
