The Capital Grille - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
I took my girl here for a Valentine’s Day date. She was impressed with the Valet, service and food. Our Waitor also treated us with two chocolate strawberries (free of charge) and gave my girl a flower. It was such a lovely evening. The price is high ($50 a plate) good for a special occasion.
Our waitress, Kristen, was excellent! We really enjoyed celebrating Valentines Day a few nights early. The food was great. My only complaint is about the acoustics. We were able to hear a louder man and woman 3 tables over from us with absolute clarity. Felt pretty loud for date night.
Consistently good food and the service is always impeccable. I had the kona crusted filet with shallot butter and the meat was so tender and delicious you could cut it with a fork. I also had the lobster bisque (which is always great) and a South African lobster tail!! My husband's bone-in ribeye was prepared perfectly as well. Never had a meal there that didn't exceed expectations.
Extra special service from our server, October, made this birthday dinner even more special. Drinks before dinner were excellent! All food perfectly prepared and presented. Flourless chocolate cake caused eye-rolling joy! Excellent restaurant. Another 5 star visit.
We went here for my birthday dinner and it was wonderful. Will was our waiter and he took such great care of us. The food was amazing, and they even decorated our table with confetti and a sweet card from the staff. Thank you so much for making the night one to remember!
The tuna appetizer was nice and fresh and the lobster soup was fantastic. We recommend those two for sure. But our main dish was not good as I expected. We ordered our steak medium rear, but I’m not sure if it’s there standard way of cooking because the outside of the steak was seared a little to much and lacked flavor. My wife ordered the chefs special and hers was seared as well and she felt like it was chard. If they specialize in steak, I guess we didn’t get the best experience from there. The service was excellent! Even though we made a reservation, we had to wait for about 15 minutes past our time and there was no one else waiting other then us? Strange.
I would Not recommend if you are looking for good steak. H3 would be my choice if you asked.
Last year my friend took me here for my birthday and I was so impressed with food, waitstaff, overall experience I planned to come back again this year with a larger group. Service was amazing and accommodating, wine was spectacular, drinks beforehand at the bar were tasty,(but pricy, which comes with the territory) oysters, salad, steak, lobster and all of our sides were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I appreciate a well presented, cooked, and served meal. Worth the money and it was a special night, for me and my friends. ❤ 🍽
The restaurant was very busy when we went. It took about 15 minutes past the reservation time to be seated. It also took a very long time for the waiter to ask us for our order. We weren't in a hurry, so the extra time did not impose a cost, but it made it more difficult to feel important. Moreover, given that we had a later reservation time, this meant that they started cleaning up the restaurant to close while we were still there and then felt rushed to leave. The food and drinks themselves were good, so no complaints on that end. I would come back again.
We were there to celebrate a birthday.
They did everything well.
Confetti on the table, photo printed on us, dessert for the birthday person all on the house.
The steaks and seafood was awesome.
The veggies we selected were awesome.
Even the valet parking was awesome.
Capital Grille has become our number one place for special occasions. The ambiance is dim lighting with rich, deep wood paneled rooms and classy, softly lit portraits and art. For special occasions, your table is personalized with a birthday or anniversary card, a rose, table decorations, etc. to create a sense of the occasion you're celebrating. The service is unsurpassed. From the moment you arrive for a special occasion, everyone from the hostess podium to the full service staff knows it's your "big day" and greets you (often by name). The food service staff are experts and take dining to the level of a science. Our service person was Justine who not only recommends wines and food combinations (off menu) to satisfy your every wish, but adds to the fun of the occasion with her personality. The food is incredible. In years of dining here, we're never had a meal that even remotely approached "average". Menu selections lean towards meats and seafood with a chicken selection. To me, Capital Grille is the place for steak (and I added a lobster tail because I love lobster done right). Plan to spend a little, though. Done right, we usually spend about $200+ not including the tip (and please...tip well - these professionals deserve it!).
Everything was fantastic. I had made a reservation via Opentable, and we were seated quickly after they had cleared everything away. The staff were energetic and welcoming, and truly made the evening a special occasion. October was our server, and provided an informative/detailed list of items for my date and I to choose from. She was extremely attentive and pleasant to interact with, and made very professional attempts to upsell. The ambiance was upscale and pleasant, and the food was simply amazing; everything from presentation to taste was fantastic. I have worked in the food industry for many years, acting as a server, bartender, and even a manager, and I have to say that was incredibly impressed and pleased with my visit to this establishment. Please send my kind regards and compliments to the staff, as everyone from the hostess, to our sever October, and even the manager, were very welcoming.
