It was my first time dining at the Capital Grille, and we were there to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. They were so surprised to have their friends and family waiting for them in one of the private event rooms I had reserved. Alfredo was so very accommodating and helpful, and the evening went very smoothly. Everyone had a great time!

My steak (file mignon) just didn’t have any flavor. Wishing now I had just eaten the bread and my wedge salad which were both great. Disappointed in spending $55 on it.

Our favorite dish, the lobster and crab cakes were served with an overpowering aioli sauce. The presentation was poor. One big crude looking crab cake and a glob of aioli. The corn salad and original delicious sauce is no longer part of the dish. Very disappointed. Capital Grill has always been our special occasion restaurant. Not anymore.

The Quality of the Food, Service and Ambiance is something you can always count on at The Capital Grille in downtown Fort Worth. The Capital Grille is a great place to have an upscale dining experience. The drinks are delicious. The bread basket that you start with is average. My husband and I prefer a really good bread for sure, but none of the varieties in the basket are “really good”. We got half a dozen oysters for our appetizer. They were tasty, yet nothing over the top. (If you want utterly delectable oysters- Waters is the place for that!) We both got the filet medallions: hub one because he added it to the two African Lobster Tails and I had the dish that came with two 4 ounce medallions and 2 3 ounce butter poached lobster tails. I loved my lobster. It was cooked perfectly. It was tender and moist. If you like the grilled lobster, as my husband does, it has great flavor but be prepared to give up that tenderness! Does not bother him a bit… me, can’t do it. 😂) The wild mushrooms were tasty, but aren’t all mushrooms wild? We also had the creamed corn with bacon. Also average in my opinion. I’m a sucker for dessert- the cheesecake did NOT disappoint. That, I could eat daily! Hub had the crème brûlée and it was delicious too! We feel like we will definitely go back. One thing to note: we said we wanted to order another round of drinks. Our waiter did it…he brought us another round. Of the same drinks we had finished 30 minutes ago. That took us by surprise. They have a great cocktail menu and we had wanted to try something different. So- be sure to speak quickly if you want to change your drink order. We weren’t sure if ALL the staff just assumes you want the same thing or if it was just our waiter. Hence, my lower rating for service. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The food was excellent but what really stood out for us was the service. Our server Tucker was wonderful and the entire staff was so attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and we were made to feel special and appreciated. We loved our experience!

We celebrated our one year anniversary and we’re so pleased! The cocktails starting with Ryan to our table was incredible. Chuck was our server and the hospitality from start to finish was impeccable. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We appreciated his suggestions and we were pleasantly surprised with all items! We appreciated his attentiveness. We will be back!

It was our 28th Anniversary and it was spectacular. We had a reservation and our table was covered in congratulations confetti with a card. The selections we had were absolutely amazing. The wine event was well-paired to the courses. Chuck was a true joy to have guide us through our evening meal. He was more like a great friend that was hosting in his own home as opposed to a server.

I took my mom here for her birthday. While the overall dining experience was superb, there were a few items that could have been better: 1) we didn't expect the calamari to be so spicy until it came out with jalepenos; 2) my dry aged steak came out raw, which was remedied to medium rare, and my mom expected the wild mushrooms with her filet mignon but instead of the chef's special, it was the regular filet, so we added mushrooms as a side; 3) the asparagus I ordered was scrawny and overcooked. We expected steakhouse thick and tender asparagus instead of the grocery store bought variety. At least our waiter suggested we get a half order to split between us; 3) there was a group in the next room, where a young women made many long trips to the restroom and every time she went in and out, she didn't look well and made us concerned enough to speak with a hostess because no one in her group looked after her and she was stumbling and holding her stomach. On another note, my mom said that her steak was tender and flavorful and she liked the mushrooms and the flourless espresso cake. I think they made a proper old fashioned; my steak was delicious; and the creme brulee cheesecake was divine. Both of us agreed that the berries were so fresh and sweet, and the service was accommodating.

We enjoyed dinner. The lighting wasn't too low like some nicer restaurants, nor too loud. We enjoyed our appetizers, Calamari and Steak Tartare. The waitress recommended the Sea Bass which we all got and it did not disappoint.

My two girlfriends and I went to celebrate two of our birthdays. Capital Grille is our favorite restaurant, so as always, it was wonderful. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is the best. But this time our experience was heightened by our server, Tucker. He was outstanding. Very professional, polished, attentive without being intrusive, and he seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. Great addition to the Capital Grille team!

The food was wonderful, the service was great, the only opportunity is the valet service. Especially with such high temperatures outside. Allowing patrons call for their car before leaving the table, the wait outside would not be as long and hot an d uncomfortable.

Our server Anne was amazing. She walked us through the entire "generous pour" process, describing each wine in detail. As always the food was impeccable and served at the perfect temperature. The attention to detail for my wife's birthday dinner was perfect.
