Had a wonderful birthday at the Capital Grille. Fantastic food, amazing service. This place never disappoints. I always get the steak because it’s the best, my mother got the scallops and I got a bite of it and it was so fantastic. I know exactly what I’m ordering next time.

Always a great time at the Grill! Absolutely hands down the best steaks in the city! Our service was impeccable as usual. Our waiter, Dustyn Hawley, gave us his card so I would like to mention his name. A great venue for a special occasion!

Great waiter and great meal

There’s no pussyfooting around this one - the kitchen had a bad night. We’ve been here literally dozens of times. The service was outstanding - as usual. Dustin and the busboy assisting him were friendly, entertaining, attentive and absolutely on top of it. The busboy had us in stitches - so funny and absolutely loosened up the room. Unfortunately, the diners around us seemed fairly high maintenance, at least at first blush. The table behind us and the one across from us sent meals back. We’re not normally ones to do this, so I at first shrugged it off as overly picky patrons. Then, when our meals arrived, I re-evaluated. My wife and I ordered the same cut of steak, but with different seasonings. They both arrived with the same seasoning. When mine was placed in front of me and the server (not our waiter or busboy) said “Porcini” and I said, “No, mine was Cajun” - he said, “Oh yeah, then that’s Cajun.” Wrong. And my wife and I got the same cut (ribeye). Her’s was honestly 40% fat (at best) and looked like a jigsaw puzzle by the time she found edible pieces. Mine, on the other hand, was the opposite. It was 90% edible. As for the sides, the wild mushrooms were okay, but needed some salt. Salt opens the taste buds in order to taste other flavors, and the mushrooms had none. And the grilled asparagus - do I need to go here again? What is it with most steak places and their asparagus? For Heaven’s sake - trim the stalks like everyone does at home where the green meets the white - or snap them if you want to be lazy and not leave the diner to deal with the woody lower end - one-third of our spears were like this. So yeah, the kitchen had a horrible night in our case this evening. Our server, Dustyn, did everything he could to make it right. In fact, were it not for him and visits throughout the evening from Sarah - a previous server that has waited on us, I have a feeling Capital Grille would be slipping way down the list for weekly date night.

It was a lovely dinner with good friends, great ambiance, and delicious food!

This was a special birthday occasion at which Capital Grille excels. Table was decorated, their birthday card gracious, the complimentary glasses of Prosecco and birthday dessert. All of that on top of the most delicious State you can imagine. Will be back in 3 weeks to celebrate another birthday!

Wonderful meal after seeing the last Hamilton matinee. Waitstaff, food and ambience could not have been better! Always top notch!

My dad has dementia, and taking him out for a meal is often a challenge. Everyone - the hostess, server and valet - was wonderful. Bill was exceptionally patient and went above and beyond!!

I usually only write positive reviews. But I was so disappointed with our Easter brunch, I thought I should mention it. The service was delightful, the mimosa's, bread and salad were perfect! But the main course was not.

My husband had the aged NY strip and there were times it tasted like old meat. He is a big steak guy and has had many aged steaks. This one didn't taste right.

I had shrimp with grits. The flavoring was wonderful. But I too had a shrimp that didn't taste all that fresh.

If you are vegetarian, the selection is minimal over all. Even on the main menu.

I had heard so many good things about this place-I really was disappointed.

This was a beautiful place the staff was very nice the food was good nothing that is completely mind blowing it was very expensive I thought for dinner for 2 considering all of the choices you have in Denver not sure if we will dine again

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at the Capital Grille on 16 March 2018. The restaurant dining area was essentially full when we arrived. Our initial table was in a very busy area, but the host was able to re-seat us to a less traveled spot. Our server gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy cocktails before taking our dinner order. All courses were prepared and served as expected. Overall, the experience and meal were very good. We plan to be back soon.

I worked in the service industry for over 13yrs. This place never disappoints. Loved everything!!!

Everything about our lunch at The Capital Grille was top notch: wonderful lunch specials, attentive , knowledgeable and friendly service from our server Jesse, tasty cocktails (!), comfortable booth seating, overall cleanliness, and elegantly done appointments. Oh, and free valet parking less than 20' from the front door. We're retired and really, really value establishments that strive for excellence in all they do, and this was one. We will most definitely return and heartily recommend this to anyone reading.

The steak I ordered rare "plus," because I wanted it more rare than medium rare. I should have just ordered rare.

Loved the food and the ambiance! We enjoyed the quiet corner we had, and our server was knowledgeable and on point. The steak was large enough to share between the two of us.

We arrived late in the evening and sat at the bar . We appreciated the drinks and service, but they were ready to close.

I have eaten at the Capital Grill in many different cities, and by far this was the best location. It excided my expectations. Well done Denver!

The best steakhouse in Denver all the rest could learn from their management team staff and food the stakes are great seafood spectacular and don’t forget that dessert but most of all The staff they make the meal great !

This is not a place for a quiet intimate meal. The food and service were above reproach; however, the noise detracted a good bit from the experience.

We came for an early dinner before Hamilton and had a lovely meal and received excellent service from our waiter. Be aware however, their valet guys leave at 10:00 p.m. so this is not a good option for dining before the theater if you are planning to park at the restaurant to avoid the Performing Arts garage hassle.

This is a great steakhouse! The food was made to perfection. My wife and I split a red beet and goat cheese salad and for dinner split a porterhouse steak with a side of wild mushrooms. The Capital Grille does not mind splitting plates, the waited actually offered the option when he found out we originally came in for Denver restaurant week and it had ended the day before. Everything was amazing, including the Black Berry Boxcars we had for drinks. This is a high end place with high end prices, but its definitely worth it! Especially for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays. If you go you will NOT be disappointed
