Our waitress was amazing and the wine was delicious but my scallops came out cold and my husband’s steak was just ok, not as good as I would have expected from the price tag.
The seafood platter was beautifully displayed the shrimp was a bit tough. The asparagus was very tough.the chocolate lava cake was delicious
Our waitress Stephanie was the absolute best! I haven’t had service like that in a long time.
We went for Mother’s Day, and it was fantastic. The service was great, the food was prepared perfectly and everything was delicious.
I was worried it might be a little too fancy for what we wanted, but it was great and the atmosphere of the whole restaurant was very nice.
We will definitely be back!
As always we were taken care of with impeccable service and delicious food! We always look forward to dining here. Everything is always outstanding.
Took 2 hours to get food, finally had to ask for it to go
My daughter and friends had Mother’s Day brunch. It was fabulous. Ryan was our server and he was great! Very attentive and professional. I’m a big foodie and it was my first time at Capital Grill and my experience was really nice.
Great Mother’s Day brunch!
Great Mothers day brunch with family. Good food, good service and reasonable price.
Great steak and the dessert was very good also waiter was friendly and knowledgeable
Everything was great. Just a little disappointed with the service. Was quite slow and often had to ask someone passing by for a refill, box and bill.
The Capital Grille is always a sure bet on good food and service...
Another visit to Capital Grille, another fantastic evening. We were there for one my sales peoples retirement and the Capital Grille team did not disappoint. Our waiter, Dustin, was absolutely AWESOME!!! He was attentive but not pushy. Everyone that helped us, from the hostesses, to all the servers, it was just great. Made is a great evening as always
Great place to eat and relax. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent meal, service, & great atmosphere! Visiting from Philadelphia & had a very enjoyable night!
Best restaurant on Larimer Square. Appreciate quiet rooms
It was great!
They were especially accommodating and made sure any mistakes (one on a food order) was corrected. We also got a free anniversary desert!
You get what you pay for. This is the best traditional steak house experience in Denver.
I made reservation on Friday May 3rd for a party of 8 on Tuesday May 7th at 6:30pm. That all went very well and easy. My party all arrived right at or just before 6:30. We all pretty much ordered a steak of some kind along with sides we all decided to share. We did not order starters. So far all was going very well, drinks were served right away and we were all having a great time. Things were good until I decided to look up at the clock and it was now 8:00pm and we still didn’t have any food! I was about to say something when finally the food was served at about 8:15. We all began to eat when my wife noticed that her medium rare ordered filet was more like well done. Not even a hint of pink! Let the server know and they got a new one out right away! That was good and her steak was cooked properly this time. I however was starting to eat my $85.00 Wygu New York strip at about this time and quickly realized that it was as tough as a boot! It appeared to be cooked Medium as I asked but the steak was extremely tough for a Wagyu steak! I have been to several steak houses and have had plenty of Wagyu beef before but it would always melt in my mouth even when cooked medium. Do to the steak being $85.00 And the fact we already sent my wife’s steak back I decided to eat it so as not to not make more of a scene and also to the fact I wasn’t sure they would be able to cook another one better than this one I had in front of me. All and all the night was good as far as the company, drinks and sides were concerned but for the steaks not so much!
Very well done- with excellent service and a very professional wait staff
We had originally booked at The Palm for our anniversary dinner. Then I read reviews, many of which were quite negative. I cancelled and booked at the Capital Grill. Best dining experience we have had in a long time. Noise level is low compared to most places these days. When we were seated, our table was adorned with rose petals and glittery stars. Our server, Shirley, was terrific. Unobtrusive but right there at the right time. Our meals were excellent, perfectly prepared and presented. Our complementary desert was “over the top” !
Our new “go to” restaurant for fine dining!
Incredible food & ambiance. Exemplary service.
Amazing experience for our family...
Looking for the white tablecloth experience and we weren't disappointed.
Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This is the Gold Standard for what fine dining should be. A real treat and our favorite restaurant.
Myself and three others came to Capital Grille to celebrate a birthday on a Saturday night. Our reservations were at 8pm. The valet was great. We did not have to wait very long before they seated us. Our waiter, Matt gets 5+ stars. He was the best part of the experience. He is very knowledgeable in wines and the menu. He has a great sense of humor and went out of his way to make sure the birthday girl had a wonderful experience. I wish mat could have controlled the quality of the food. We ordered the salmon, sea bass and chicken. The salmon and sea bass were forgettable (bland and a little dry). There was absolutely nothing special about those (overpriced bland food). The chicken was actually very good. If you can't get chicken right, you shouldn't be in business. We also ordered a wedge salad and field greens salad. Those were delicious. Sam's mashed potatoes are also very delicious. Matt helped us select a bottle of wine. It was an awesome Cabernet ($100). Matt also took it upon himself to get multiple desserts for the birthday celebration (Great job, Matt).
Capital Grille needs to update its decor. We all commented on how it appeared so old and out of place (mounted deer heads and obscure portraits); just like the waiter's jackets.
The service top notch at this restaurant thanks to Matt. The food...not so much. Dinner for 4 with tip, wine and desserts...over $450. You decide.
It was great!!! The food was wonderful and the service was spectacular. Ask for B as you server she was attentive and on top of everything.
Stepahnie was absolutely wonderful! She made our dining experience! She was awesome.
We celebrated our daughter's birthday on Saturday with dinner and a show (Cats). Dinner was excellent - the steak was still sizzling as it reached the table. The drinks were strong and tasty. And the dessert - wow! Our server made sure we were out in plenty of time to get to the show. If you are looking for an upscale steak restaurant, I highly recommend The Capital Grille.
Everything was great, the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delish!
Excellent luncheon - Seared Ahi Tuna with Ginger and three dipping sauces (white soy, ginger, and wasabi) and Seabass on carrots with miso ginger sauce plus side salads and cup of lobster bisque. Excellent service and free valet parking.
Fabulous Easter brunch with family. They treat you so good and actually care about your experience. I have to say that is a reason Capital Grill is my favorite.
Our Easter Sunday brunch was perfect. We we seated with little wait time, our waiter was very attentive and the food was excellent. Will definitely return for more
Delicious food, efficient service. Gracious attention.
What a wonderful evening. My wife's birthday and I told her she could go to any restaurant in Denver and she selected Capital Grille and loved it. We will be back. Service was outstanding both at the bar and in the dinning room. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Truly wonderful time. We were having a very important business meeting and our waitress was very in tune with when to approach our table and when to let us talk.
The management and staff was very aware of us at all times and quick to meet any need.
The food was amazing!
When we are in the mood for a great steak, the Capital Grille does not disappoint. We especially enjoy the Courvoisier cream sauce that we have with our fillets. Their wine list has something for everyone, at a variety of price points. Of course, no visit is complete without their au gratin potatoes. I have been a faithful Capital customer for about 20 years now, and am so glad that they always get it right.
Very nice restaurant in Larimer Square. Best location in downtown Denver in my opinion. Food and wine list were great. Very fancy and upper scale dinner place. Great for special occasions or visiting from out of town.
Great dinner. Sat next to the chefs table which was a tad noisy, but overall the ambience, service, and food/beverage was fantastic.
