Perfect valentines dinner! Amazing service and food!
Outstanding as usual
Very nice setting and really good service. Although my steak was overcooked, they fixed it. My husband's was cooked perfectly. Overall really nice restaurant.
Outstanding food and very well-informed wait staff. Bus boys were right on time to clear table. The whole experience was a perfect flow. We weren't rushed but never kept waiting from the time we sat down through paying the bill. We highly recommend this restaurant regardless of the reason you choose to visit - business, date, out with friends or family.
After having a bad experience having dinner at this restaurant a couple of months ago we decided to give it another chance at lunch. From beginning to end our experience was bad. First of all we were taken to a table next to the server's station and when I tried to ask the woman who seated us to move she turned her back on me and walked away. After going to the manager, who was the only bright spot in our experience, we were moved to another table. Both of us order clam chowder, which was good although I was hard pressed to find any clams in my bowl, and a salad nicoise. When the salads arrived they contained 4 slices of very rare Ahi tuna, something the menu did not specify nor did the server ask how we would like the tuna prepared. Since the menu did not say the dish was not the classic salad nicoise we were surprised when it arrived without something more like Italian tuna. The menu did specify that there would haricots verts in the salad but we were hard pressed to find them as there were about 8 micro-sliced 1/4 inch pieces of a bean buried in a large bowl of romaine lettuce. When we addressed these issues with our server she just kept telling us that this was 'their standard preparation'. I just wanted her to understand that if the menu didn't specify that there was almost raw tuna on the salad that was something the restaurant might want to address. Some people just don't want their fish served only lightly seared. After that she barely made eye contact with us and basically punished us for complaining. The manager ended up comping us for the salads that we didn't eat and I appreciated that but then a busboy came by and called my female lunch partner who has very short hair and undergoing cancer treatment, sir. When I called him on his error he just smirked and walked away. The menu needs more clarity and the staff better training but I'll never know if that happens because I'm never going to this Capital Grille again.

From the moment the valet took our keys to the moment we got in our car to leave it was a remarkable evening. The food was perfect, the wine recommendations given to us by our waiter (Diego) was absolutely lovely. We will certainly return. Thank you all for making our Sunday evening outing so worth while.

Food was excellent! We will be back. Our server may have had too many tables or something because he literally just took our order, dropped off food and that was it. Never offered another round of drinks or anything. The rest of the wait staff help was great, constantly picking up dishes or refilling water as needed.
It was my husband’s birthday and we had a delightful evening. The food, service and ambiance was wonderful. The note on the table with Birthday confetti was a nice touch. We will definitely return.
I took my steak loving niece to celebrate her 15th birthday and they made it special. She was thrilled! Thank you!
My 4 star food choice was due to my steak not being cooked as requested (med well). Otherwise my first time experience assay Capital Grille was great. The staff that I interacted with was wonderful. Mr. Ralph Lotspeich was the BEST!!!

Even though we had to wait almost 25 minutes for our table, I had to take into consideration that it was Restaurant Week. Our server, Diego, made our dining experience so much more pleasurable, that it made waiting for our table worthwhile. You are so lucky to have Diego working for you!
It was definitely worth the value during Restaurant Week. There are better steak houses out there for this price. Unfortunately it did not satisfy me as a 50+ dollar steak should. Diego our server was an excellent host! He made the night great for us.
Everything was delicious. We went for restaurant week and it was a great experience. I started with the creme brûlée and it was the best I had in a while. The sugar glaze wasn’t scorched and the texture and flavor was just right.
I also ordered lobster bisque and this is the first restaurant that asked me if I wanted a little sherry in it. I will return.
2nd Year my wife and I have enjoyed our wedding anniversary at Capital Grille... Great service and great food!

The food was, as usual, excellent. However, the bus service was rather slow. Water glass sat empty for quite a while. The waiter, was very good.
We were seated right away. Friendly ,engaging waitress and staff.

As always, the food and service were excellent. Diego, our server, provided great advice regarding both wine and food. Rudy, his assistant, was also very helpful and pleasant. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Very Nice restaurant. Our server Dave was extremely warm & welcoming! Food was very good. The only negative experience was we arrived at 9:15p and we had a 9:30p reservation but were not seated until 10:05p! Plus the hostesses were not friendly and seemed very disorganized. Need lots of work on customer service!
Every year my boyfriend and I come here to celebrate our anniversary, and unfortunately this year we were not as pleased as we were in previous years. We usually are treated like royalty, and the CG staff makes our anniversary feel special, but this was not the case this year. Our waiter seemed rushed and was rarely at our table. He was not very personable and did not spend time with us or making sure we were content on our special night. In past years, we get our picture taken and printed out on a CG paper frame, and we did not get that this year. We also have gotten free desserts, which we did not get. In the past, we usually sit in the private room where it is less busy and noisy, and this year we had to sit on the main level where it was crowded and loud. We understand that this was a prime night during Chicago restaurant week, but we honestly are considering going to a new restaurant for our anniversary next year.
One of my favorite steak restaurants! Never had a bad meal or service. Restaurant week menu is a great deal. Had a great family meal on a busy Saturday night. Service was great and food was wonderful.

Went for restaurant week, food and service was outstanding. My wife had the bone in New York strip, I had the filet. Perfectly prepared. Our server, I believe her name was Lina? was so helpful.

The food is really excellent, and the service is attentive and fast. The ambiance is quiet, so it is easy to converse.
It is a great room. High ceilings keeps the noise level really low. Bar area is in a good spot and the best part are the Food and Service. Chicago is a steak house City but this is a great place. And they honor their reservation times!!
Regular customer and during Restaurant week they are obviously like other places taxed to the max but the staff shines always. The Shrimp appetizer and many of the food wasn't fully cooked as to our liking but the great staff immediately resolved it. We will go back although suspect not on restaurant week. Their strength is the food quality, ambiance and staff. With so many customers they did a phenomenal job but the food quality suffered.
The food and service were very good but you need to be prepared for the price. It is very expensive. The atmosphere is nice.

I believe Capital Grille goes beyond generous with their offerings, showcasing their best dishes at an affordable price that leaves you wanting to come back again, which I do every year plus non Restaurant Week! Ralph was delightful as our waiter, humorous and informative
