Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Usually a super experience every time we visit, food and service usually superior. Not so, this time. Food took way too long to arrive and Tuna was undercooked. French Onion soup and Calm Chowder excellent as are the Caesar salads Hoping it is a one-off.

    This is my go to place for lunch with my friends. It is quiet, always great service and exceptional food. I had the lobster salad which I just love, and my friend had the seared tuna served over rice which was also delicious. I highly recommend Capital Grille-Chevy Chase.

    porcini rub bone-in ribeye ($81) - meat was tasteless and rub was burnt to a crisp. a single add-on lobster tail, not on menu - tasted great - check came and it was $75!!! - should have asked for the price before ordering. Sides - scallp potatoes and steamed spinach were plentiful for 2 but nothing special.

    We have always enjoyed the Capital Grille, but we’re a little disappointed at our most recent visit. It was noisy and the food was only fair and at the new and steeper prices, we were disappointed.

    The food was good. The waiter was like a robot. He never checked back to see if we enjoyed our meal. He was not very personable. One thing that really upset us was that my wife had a T Bone Filet and I had the Wagyu steak which was not cheap. It was too much for us to finish so we asked for a bag to go, and we got home inside the bag was a piece of chicken so we got ripped off considering the price of the steaks. BTW, no one ordered chicken at our table
