   porcini rub bone-in ribeye ($81) - meat was tasteless and rub was burnt to a crisp. a single add-on lobster tail, not on menu - tasted great - check came and it was $75!!! - should have asked for the price before ordering. Sides - scallp potatoes and steamed spinach were plentiful for 2 but nothing special.

   We have always enjoyed the Capital Grille, but we’re a little disappointed at our most recent visit. It was noisy and the food was only fair and at the new and steeper prices, we were disappointed.

   The food was good. The waiter was like a robot. He never checked back to see if we enjoyed our meal. He was not very personable. One thing that really upset us was that my wife had a T Bone Filet and I had the Wagyu steak which was not cheap. It was too much for us to finish so we asked for a bag to go, and we got home inside the bag was a piece of chicken so we got ripped off considering the price of the steaks. BTW, no one ordered chicken at our table

   We had a lovely round table for 6. Excellent server named Ian. Food was great. We had a wonderful birthday celebration.

   We celebrated my fiancée’s birthday at The Capital Grille in Chevy Chase, and everything was phenomenal. The service was top-tier—attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely made the evening feel special. From start to finish, the staff made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. The food was exceptional—perfectly cooked steaks, flavorful sides, and desserts that were the perfect ending to a great night. An unforgettable experience all around.
