The dinner took a bit longer than preferred. There were 5 of us for a 7:30 reservation and did not get the bill until 10. The food service and everything was good though just a little slow
Great place. Always consistent. Server, Joseph, was outstanding. Always a favorite place to go, never disappoints.
Returning to Capital Grille the third year during restaurant week. I have to say, the first year was so far the best experience. The aged NY steak I ordered was delicious however my friend’s order of filet mignon was a little bit over cooked even though she asked for medium rare. The dessert at the end was a little bit disappointing. The creme Brûlée was way too sweet.
The server was very nice though. Wish the food could be better.
For the very first time I was disappointed with Capital Grille. My coworkers took me there for lunch for my birthday. They obviously called ahead to let them know it was my birthday. We ordered from the Dine Out Boston Menu. I decided to change things up and ordered the salmon instead of my usual burger. The salmon was prepared rare as I requested but it was blander that I'm used to. An unexciting option. Then the water brought me a plate with happy birthday written on it in chocolate which was nice, but when the bill came my coworkers were charged for that. If you're not going to comp a regular on his birthday I would have rather not had that plate. It somehow took the joy out of the occasion.
Our appetizers didn’t come out for over 45 minutes and it took almost 2 hours for three people to eat because service was so slow
Great waiter. Service and food was perfect. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
We came in for restaurant week and their Generous Pour event. Our servers Amy and Bao were very knowledgeable about the wines and also provided friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive service. Water and bread were immediately offered as soon as we sat down. Our food came out quickly and our glasses were never empty. I ordered the chowder, filet mignon with a lobster tail, and creme brulee. Everything was simply amazing! The lobster was succulent and buttery and the filet was exactly how I wanted it (medium rare). My husband ordered the wedge salad with really chunky bacon (no skimpy bits here) and the veal tomahawk. He practically sucked that bone dry! We also had green beans and mashed potatoes for sides and they were both delicious. Creme brûlée for dessert topped off our wonderful meal and they practically had to roll us outta there!
The Capital Grille is a dependable restaurant. Not surprisingly, I typically order a steak. But this time I ordered the Salmon, and it was spectacular. Nikitas, our server, was excellent - present but not intrusive. We happened to attend when they offered not only "Dine In" Boston, where a special price was offered for many entrees. But, it was also during their "Generous Pour" offering, which is quite an excellent offering for those of us who enjoy wine.
Loud. Wine list was heavy on California selections. Trying to choose from a device rather than a list was awkward. I opted not to order any.
My girlfriend and I went here to try their restaurant week special. We both have been to other Capital Grille locations before and this one was no different. Excellent food, atmosphere, and service!
We had lunch here for restaurant week. The food was good as usual. For $20, the price was hard to beat for a delicious 3 course lunch. Our server was great also.
Great restaurant, good hospitality, the food is good, you will not be disappointed, The Capital Grille Signature Cheeseburger with Parmesan Truffle Fries and Capital Grille Creme Brûlée is so good. Definitely will recommend this place and go again. I personally enjoyed it more during Dine Out Boston week
Renzo Ochoa was our waiter. He was extraordinary! Always attentive to our table. Friendly and professional! Love when we have him on every visit when we dine here!
Food was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend the Kona crusted sirloin. Our server Jill was also great! She recommended the Kona crusted sirloin.
I took my parents here for my dads b-day. Conveniently it was during Dine Out Boston week so we were able to get a good meal for the fraction of cost. The meal offering was better than the majority of restaurants participating this week. They offered two steak choices, salmon and chicken. We chose Filet Mignon and the Sirloin strip steak. Both were ample portions. One side either mashed potatoes or French green beans -we chose mashed -they were very good and a good portion. Dessert was a choice of Crème broulet or flourless espresso cake -both were wonderful. The table had scattered funfetti for his birthday which was a nice touch. Obviously the bill still came high with the drinks and coffee -but its the Capitol Grille. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Recommend.
We just moved our son to dorm. We were tired hungry and in shorts and they accepted us. Great service!!
Capital Grille never disappoints. This is one of my top favorite steak restaurants both in terms of service and quality.
Went for Dine Out Boston. Server was energetic and fun. Had a great time.
My creme brûlée was not properly brûléed and was soft and patchy on top. My medium steak was more like well done. Given the price, probably not worth it.
Went during Restaurant Week- previously doing this the offerings were not that good-so we upgraded $ 10 and had an excellent meal. With the upgrades, a reasonable price for this quality eatery.
Great meal, great service the Duckhorn wine pairing was very good. The Washington State Cab was very tasty and went well wth both the fillet and Kona encrusted serloin.
Outstanding menu, variety, atmosphere, wait staff!!!
A wonderful dining experience! Waite staff spot on, food was amazing!
Food and service were fantastic! A group of us went for Restaurant Week and couldn’t have asked for a better deal or a better experience. Will definitely be back!
Great steaks as usual. They were packed due to restaurant week and our table was delayed. The hostess sent over a couple of complementary appetizers to make up for the delay which was very considerate. Can't wait to go back again.
Best steak around. Mashed potatoes and bread are wonderful. Server was perfect. Crème Brulee is the best. Only issue was the room got noisy so difficult to hear.
Lunch was really, really good: a fabulous “deal” during Restaurant Week—3 courses for $20!
A group of us went here for restaurant week. Very pleasant experience overall.
Very slow service, for lunch would like to be in & out in about an hour, but took over 2 hours. Had to ask the waiter to pack up our desert and suddenly the desert appeared. Our waiter seemed to annoyed but seriously, 20 min had passed since my last bite of entree. Very disappointing especially for that price
Restaurant week, decided to come in and check the lunch menu, cheeseburger was terrific, hands down one the best I’ve had. Salad was fine, the flourless espresso cake is good!
Our server - Schyler was excellent. He really made the experience!
Amazing time. They made the night real special. Can get enough of that place.
We went for lunch during restaurant week. The menu was good and the food was great..our waiter was excellent. It was very enjoyable...
We enjoy the Capital Grille in Chestnut Hill. The Dine out Week special is a tremendous value accompanied by the Generous Pour how could one go wrong ?
Did I forget to mention the staff are attentive, friendly and efficient, we were so fortunate to have Amy as our server, top notch, made our evening perfect.
We’ll be back again and again
The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. Especially appreciated our server, Kristina, who was engaging and upbeat. Really made date night with my husband extra special.
It was ok. One of the steaks came out over cooked. They did compensate him for this but our friend felt that to have it recooked would mean he would have to watch us eat and than eat alone. Expected better from a steak place with high prices
It was great as always! And our waiter is so amazing and accommodating to our 2 year old son. :-)
The food is great!
Capital Grille is always a treat during Restaurant Week. The three course meal is high quality at a reasonable price.
Had another great meal at the Capital Grille! The lobster bisque is outstanding. Steak was cooked perfectly as was the salmon. The only item that was disappointing was the side of green beans which were under done and when remade under done again. I don’t recall this ever happening in the past. Without a doubt Capital Grille is my favorite dining spot!!
