The food was good but the service was severely lacking especially given the price of this meal. We had a 6:30 reservation but had to wait for a table. We finished our appetizers and no one cleared them away. Our entrees arrived and there was nowhere to put them as our table had not been cleared of the appetizer plates. Our check was brought to our table without us asking for it. We had wanted to order coffee but were not given the opportunity. I asked to speak to the manager and he said the check was brought before we asked for it for our “convenience,” whatever that is supposed to mean. This was a special occasion for our family and it was not “convenient” to feel rushed out of a restaurant when the meal was over $350 for three people. Skip this restaurant if you want a memorable occasion.
Great evening. Great ambiance and service. Excellent food.
Food and drinks were excellent. Our waiter “Rocco” was great!! A very nice Easter dinner!!
Our waiter was outstanding, well versed on wine list and extremely attentive to our needs. I even mentioned the outstanding service to hostess when leaving.
Had a good experience at this restaurant for Easter Dinner. Service and ambiance is very comfortable and they have some nice conveniences, such as valet parking, that make the experience very comfortable. Food was very well prepared and came out quickly. Service was very attentive and had an overall good experience. The price point is a bit on the high side for similar style steakhouses.
Easter brunch, it was great!!
We were celebrating our 17th anniversary and it was something to brag about. Our waiter was James very professional and respectful. When we arrived our table had pick rose and a note saying Happy Anniversary with our names. We were also greeted with complimentary champagne and a platter with cheesecake and a lit candle with happy anniversary written accross the plate. To top it off we had our picture taken and was given a hard copy before we leave.
Overall it was a great experience...clean environment...love the decor...excellent service. Price is on higher end but for the level of service and attention to detail we would do it all over again. Thanks James for making our anniversary memorable.
Eli and Pam
Stoli doli’s not that good, seafood tower not that good, expensive, very disappointing.
We had an early dinner so it was quiet, celebrated my son's birthday, they sprinkled "Happy birthday" spinkles on table and gave him a beautiful dessert! Really nice, everything was top shelf!
Service great and friendly and helpful all the way around
Food was sublime
Been here many many times Much better than the CG in Phila.
Bobby has been our waiter forever. He knows us so he can practically take our order without us speaking
Her also makes me Russian dressing...not on the menu
Lobster bisque my favorite soup & though it is $14 a cup..it is worth it at any price
And no matter what we order, it is superb.
It was a wonderful place
We had a reunion of former work colleagues who hadn’t seen each other in 15 years! Food was very good as always. Server very nice (blonde woman with hair pulled back into a pony tail...sorry I forget her name).
Wedding anniversary was perfect.
The Happy Birthday confetti, card, and dessert platter were definitely nice personal touches! Thank you for making my grandma’s 83rd birthday very special!
Celebrated my 50th birthday. Food was awesome. The best. Service was wonderful, attentive, friendly and accommodating. Ambiance was amazing. For my birthday they served us a plate with complimentary desserts and on the plate said “happy birthday “ in hardened chocolate.
Christopher our waiter made our anniversary date special :)
I've eaten here several times and this was not by best experience, the server was fantastic, just the food wasn't up to it's usually standards... My steak was overcooked, Which they did remake for me, however that just meant that I was left waiting while my wife ate since I didn't want here food to get cold. The appetizer was ok(tuna tartar), but again not the usual level of quality.
We went to Capital Grille for my birthday celebration, our experience was truly outstanding! The table had birthday confetti on it with a special birthday card next to a small lamp. Joe, the server was phenomenal, the food delicious (though they did run out of a special steak :(, will have to come back for it), and they had a special dessert just for the birthday girl. Enjoyed every minute of it!!!
Wonderful food, service & wine & cocktails
The table was nicely decorated with birthday confetti. The waiter was extremely committed to making sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious. My free dessert was delicious.
Our experiences at The Capital Grille are always the best! Our server, Bob, treats us like family and is always customer focused! Food and atmosphere is amazing! We will be back!
Steak was done perfectly.
Excellent wait staff. Food quality is deteriorating over time. Too salty and food isn’t brought to the table quickly enough.
Loved the dinner
They made it so very special
Always a great experience and good food. Birthday celebration dinner and the staff was very accommodating with the details. Thank you!
Rocco provided great service - food was good.
Mary, our server went above and beyond to make the birthday girl feel very special. It was a great place to celebrate.
Food and service are great. Request a table not next to the bar. Too bad I cannot try much as the portion is big
Rack of lamb was outstanding, as was the lobster tails.
I have friends and family who live near this Capital Grille. It is my favorite place to meet them for lunch. Our server, Mary Alyce, always makes the occasion especially nice!
We enjoyed our dinner. The food is great. It is a little noisy at times. The acoustic is not that good. Noise travels. I found it hard to hear myself. Other than that, it is a great place to eat good quality food. Compliments to the chef.
Perfect experience. Celebrating two birthdays!
We sat in the bar area and Elizabeth who is the loveliest person and
As always, the service and the ambience were great. My only complaint was that my steak was a tad overcooked which is unusual as this had never been a problem in the past. Would absolutely go back as I suspect this was a one-off given my many prior great meals.
Food was bad; nothing more need be said. Too salty, overcooked, etc. You want great Capital Grille food, go to the restaurant in Philadlephia.
Food very salty. Service slow. Cocktail watery (do much shaking). Room very noisy.
We had an AWESOME time the wait in the lobby was a bit annoying, we had reservations then people after us were seated first, but EVERYTHING else was perfect... from the waiter checking on us to the temperature of the food to the volume and lighting in the room. The cherry on top was the waiter bringing my husband birthday surprise and taking our picture!!!! Definitely will be going back.
Capital Grille is a great place for a special occasion. Went recently for a birthday . I order the filet mignon and hubby got the filet on the bone. Mine was way under cooked (I ordered medium) and it came out rare , Hubby's was a bit over cooked, so we just switched. Our server noticed and comped us desserts since I didn't feel like waiting for a new steak to be cooked. Despite this hiccup, the service was great and the food was delicious. The au gratin potatoes are the best! And the creme brulee that I had for dessert was excellent. They are pricey but so worth it for special occasions.
The last hurrah of a family reunion, we came for dinner, dessert and drinks. We were all frustrated by the drink menu which is digital and has no beer section or cocktails section only brand name of spirit. Food was very good overall - but noise level made it very hard to communicate with my table of six. Prices also are obscured to the point of being insulting - you are made to feel like a jerk if you ask how much anything is. The coconut cream pie was not really coconut cream pie, but the oysters, steaks, soups, shrimp apps and salads were all top notch. Our group all wished for a simple paper drink menu. Service was very good: friendly, patient, and thorough. Overall 4 stars, we will of course come again because we always do when we want to know we are getting good food and there are options for all eaters. The kids menu items were not good except for the fries.
