Our waitress was Mimi and couldn’t have been better. It was my fifteen year old daughters birthday and she is a special needs child and was so happy. Thank you Mimi. Mike C

First time dining at this restaurant it was ok not worth the money you pay its high cost do not justify the mediocre quality of there steak living in nyc my entire life I have no problem paying high cost for a meal but when you charge steakhouse price you should receive steak house quaintly this wasn't it not a bad place just not worth the cost

We took a friend out for his 40th bday and they had left a card on the table, and sprinkled it with birthday confetti! They even brought him a birthday dessert. Everything was so good! Cooked perfect and tasted delicious. Very nice fine dining without being pretentious.

This is probably the greatest restaurant ever. I'm not kidding, from start to finish all of my wildest eating desires were far and beyond adequately satiated.

The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella wins the gold medal at the summer and winter appetizer Olympics. I saw my past present and future as I dove head first into that gorgeous beast off an app.

Then came the entrees. Obviously split a porcini rub filet and kona crusted strip with my buddy to the left of me. Both of which were prepared in such unique and powerful manners that I've literally never tasted anything better.

The Kona Crusted NY strip was however the trump suited Jack of this dinner. The flavors that combined in a nuclear fusion of gods best herbs and spices taking place right in my mouth were truly one of the greater experiences of this entire decade. I love you capital grille in back bay. Never change.

I was there celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday with a group of six of us. From wine to soup to our main course it was great. We ordered different steak, sides to share and salad. The food came out very representable and tasty. My boyfriend speaks French, our waiter Dominic speaks French made our evening even more pleasant. Not only we will go back. We will also ask for Dominic if that is okay.

I have been a fan of the Capital Grille, however, this was my first visit to the Boston location. AMAZING. Service was amazing, the steak (10oz Filet) was like butter, Lobster Mac & Cheese was Crazy Good. Highly recommend this location.

We visited Capital Grill for Valentine's Day. It was a busy night and we had to wait about 10 mins before we got sited.
It was our first time there and everything was perfect. Server was helpful with suggestions. Lamb and steak were delicious. Some decorations on the table, complimentary strawberries in chocolate and flowers for ladies made this evening truly romantic.
Will definitely come back.

Amazing night, perfect meal. Brad was an exceptional waiter. Was a little noisy but could have been because of Valentine’s Day. Definitely recommend it!

Disappointed this time.

We had to wait 20 minutes even though we had a reservation.
Our steak was dry and tasteless, like it was pre-cooked and re-heated.
Not at all what you would expect for a restaurant of that caliber.

My girlfriend and I came in for our first time on Valentine's Day 2018, and showed up about 5 minutes before our reservation and they were able to seat us right away and coat-check us which was great. Normally we aren't used to coat checking, but this was nice!

We were promptly seated and offered water and bread. The bread was actually to my surprise great! They had an assortment of bread: pita, focaccia, pumpernickel?, plain; along with butter with salt on the side (much appreciated).

She had the dry-aged NY-strip with gorgonzola and truffle, I had the bone-in Kona (dry-aged NY IIRC) with shallot butter. We ordered both of ours Medium-rare, I received mine medium-wellish. My first cut in made me guess myself, then the second cut I knew something was wrong. I was told originally that the steak is usually only medium-rare in the very middle so I had to cut the steak in half and it was mostly medium-rare. Our waitress did have the manager double-check the steak, and he instantly offered a new one upon checking it.

I really appreciate the manager's sincerity and it showed. I can accept a mistake when their is accountability and he demonstrated that especially on a busy night, instead of just another pass off "hey make this guy a new steak". He went above and beyond and comped it. You go out to eat together, not to wait or watch the other person eat. He understood that.

Our sides of Au Gratin Potatoes and Creamed Spinach were good and offered a good textural balance. For dessert, the ice cream you could tell was not factory made/bought which is expected at this level of dining. On a side note, I did order the chocolate cake with ice cream, but we were served ice cream with chocolate dipped strawberries which were also good (hard to screw this up!).

The room we were seated in was quieter than the main dining area, and served to be more intimate. If you're a little space conscious this may not be for you.

Overall a good experience. Will I come back? Maaaybe.
