Server was excellent, my husbands meal was superb ( rib eye), my filet was perfectly cooked but tasteless? And sautéed spinach was just mediocre.
First time delicious would definitely recommend!!
Service very slow
Because of the pandemic, the restaurant was rather quiet, which made it perfect for conversation. The food, as always, was perfectly prepared and plated. Mimi, our waitperson, was superb and made sure it was a perfect meal for celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Everything was great! It was a nice experience.
Dinner was absolutely amazing. Mimi was a great waitress. Just an overall great experience and they made my wife's birthday a special one. Highly recommended
Jeremy is such a great waiter. He and the restaurant staff were so gracious. I arrived late for the last reservation time of the evening and they were super-accommodating, including asking what food to order, kept it on the warmer, etc. I didn't feel rushed at all although I'm sure they were trying to close.
Nice time at the CG as usual excellent service and food.
Staff seem a little stressed. Bartenders are very skilled and friendly.
Great dinner, wonderful service and a fun night out
Excellent service and food
Everything was excellent
Incredibly slow service. Waited 50 minutes before the waitress took our order!? We had to ask the person who filled our water glasses to get her. Surprised and disappointed.
Excellent service, food delicious!
A must visit! Best steakhouse in Boston.
I loved the food and everything else about the restaurant
The staff has made the venue 100% save from COVID-19 and also continues to make the evening a great experience. Great to see the people that make this location the number 1 dinning location in the city of Boston.
Thank you all for your hard work!!

My friend and I decided to have an end of summer dinner. We were greeted by Montserrat and she was amazing walked us to our table and gave us suggestions on drinks and apps. We had Adnan as our waiter and he was amazing too. He knew about the wines and menu and what pair with what well. He never rushed us and he took the time during a busy night to make sure we were taken care off. Overall great experience great drinks great food and outstanding service.
We were celebrating a double birthday. The table was private and perfect.. the server was great.. the staff was great..
the appetizers were delicious.
Once my 10oz. Filet was served.. I saw it was over cooked.. once I tasted it all I could taste was the salt. I tried another piece then after the third I didn’t have taste buds..from the coarse salt.
Then my daughter said her surf n turf was salty.. my mother’s 10 oz. the same..
NOONE could eat the truffle fries again too salty.
We ended up taking everything home only to throw it away the next day.
I have never had an experience like this before..
It’s a steak house.. it’s the one thing they should do well.
Beautiful big and open restaurant. Staff goes above and beyond for service. We usually get steak but this time we got Seabass and it was OK. The dessert menu was extremely limited this time. Otherwise it was an enjoyable evening.
Exceptional as always. Special thanks to Karim, Ali and the team for an amazing night out.
Great atmosphere, great service, very accommodating. Generous Pour is my favorite wine event of the year -- so great they're extending it 2 more weeks! And Jeremy is such a knowledgeable and helpful waiter.
Great service and amazing food. Will definitely come again
Generous pour + friends + Domenic + patio = late summer fun we *almost* forgot the dumpster fire that is 2020. Amazing service, great food, and an amazing value on wine. 10/10, will do again!
Always top-shelf in every way. GREAT drinks and the food is off the charts. Nothing particularly creative, but great ingredients prepared to the highest level, and impeccable service. Overall outstanding experience.
Our family attends the Generous Pour every year and this year our daughter and her husband were with us from Seattle! It was so much fun! The tradition continues!
Dining at the capital grille Boston location was amazing! I had a great time.
I go to Capital Grill quite often for business dinners. It was always a great experience until the last visit. I take business prospects on a one on one basis there and spend + $400 per meal for two. I go about once a week. Last time I was there I arrived at 7:29 for my 7:30 dinner reservation for two and asked to be seated so I can order my McAllen on the rocks. The blond girl at the front says “we need the whole party to be present before we seat you!” Now I understand this when it’s a party of 4 or more, but for a party of two I want to sit and order my drink instead of waiting at the front door. I would eat anyway and there’s no table smaller than a table for two. I asked adamantly that I would prefer to be seated to order a drink and she ignored this request (BTW, I had done that very same thing every time for the past three weeks.) I think even the manager was there and didn’t say anything! I could understand if she said there’s a slight wait as we don’t have a table available right now but she said we need the whole party present! I asked if there are no tables available. So, I had to wait for a couple of minutes and my party arrived at 7:31 sharp.
I found it very poor form that even though I’ve been there for every week with a different business client and had spend a few thousand dollars there just in the past month that they pushed this senseless app new policy. In the era of big data they should know their customers better based on their reservations and be able to know who’s credit worthy and can sit down and order a drink rather than apply a broad “policy” brush. That’s what good management does otherwise no steak is worth $80! We pay for the service and feeling like a welcome patron when we go to these establishments. Unfortunately for them I’ll be taking my customers to Abe and Louie’s starting next week!
Restaurants have to start using big data to differentiate their customers based on their loyalty and money they spend at their restaurants.
Brian was an amazing person highly recommend requesting him as your server.
As always, the food was amazing. The service was wonderful AND they brought us out 2 plates of desserts for our celebratory dinner! So thoughtful.
We had Addie for the first time and she was great. (We’re regulars). Get there before the generous pour ends—you won’t regret it.
The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the food. Our waiter was an interesting fella.....very slow to respond and get our orders. We didn't let that ruin our experience so great overall.
Food and service were outstanding. Will definitely go back again
Great value and deal for restaurant week ($38/person) and the portions were huge. Also did the generous pour ($28/person) in which we received 7 pours each (amounting to nearly a whole bottle of wine each). The server was top notch, explaining every single wine with detail and humor. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend.
Great night at the Cap as always, server was great and food was too.
My husband and I always go to the Capital Grille for Dine our Boston week, by far the best meal, deal and restaurant on the list every year. The food is delicious, the service amazing, and it is that night that just makes you feel like it is a wonderful dining experience. My husband says the bone in Kona would be his last meal if he had to chose one! It was our cousin’s anniversary and they had confetti and a card waiting on the table and brought a dessert with Happy Anniversary written on it which was a nice touch. I can’t say enough about our waiter Molique! He is so good at what he does and made us feel like there was no one else in the restaurant even though it was a Friday night during restaurant week! Can’t say enough good things about him. And it was the Generous Pour which is a deal I love to take advantage of every year. Overall we definitely had a 5 star dinner.
Restaurant week can get a little hectic but tonight’s dinner and service were outstanding! Out of all the steak houses in Boston capital grille never disappoints from the server to our very last bite the whole evening was perfect!
The food and the service was excellent. All of the wait staff were very friendly and efficient. They always had a mask on. I noticed that they cleared and cleaned the tables and chairs when patrons left. I would recommend the restaurant. Thanks
This is one of my favorite places to go for food, ambiance, and service. I come here every time for the Generous Pour and make an occasion out of it. Steak is always cooked perfectly and service is the best. Zak was our server this time and he did a great job checking up on us and explaining the wines.
