We received an excellent customer service from our waiter. The table next to us was extremely loud (one person at that table to be specific). It was very bothersome. That's my only complaint from our visit.
As always, The Capital Grille delivers! Food is outstanding and the service makes ALL the difference! Service is excellent because of the training their staff experiences. Every server makes us feel special. Without a moment of hesitation, their staff accepted return one steak out of eight served because it was overcooked. A new steak arrived in very short order! We ordered 3 bottles of wine, 2 were our selection and a 3rd was a great recommendation from their staff. and the All restaurants should take their queue from the CG. My standard against which all other restaurants are measured.
So very disappointed in our dining experience at Capital Grille. We came to celebrate our anniversary and have never been to this restaurant. We heard that it may be a lovely evening. I even noted that it was our anniversary on my reservation. Our table was set up right at the entrance of another room and we felt like it was placed there at the last minute to accommodate us. Right in the main traffic area in between two rooms. Our waiter was kind, but soft-spoken and difficult to hear in a loud atmosphere. He was unattentive, we had unusually long waits for our water to be served, for our waiter to come and ask us for our order. We waited for coffee, waited for dessert, waited for the check and waited to give our valet card to our waiter. Each time, we looked around to see if we could find our waiter...not such great service. The food was good, not stellar, for the price we expected far better quality and presentation of the meal. Not bad, not wonderful. Probably wont visit again, nor recommend.
Although a somewhat rocky week trying to ensure reservation accurate (credit card compromised, conflicting information from different staffers re: which room our group of 11 could fit into), we enjoyed an outstanding dinner. Domenic was informative, attentive, understanding (time frame), and appropriate (chose appetizers, brought group salad when dinner delayed, perfect drink service). Eleven main courses all served at the same time.
Don’t let the day staff / event planners give you the wrong impression!

In a word...superb.
I have to be clear that the low service rating is for the receptionist, not for the server for the meal. It was an excellent meal, very enjoyable, service was good to that point, but when leaving I was seriously harassed by the receptionist. He was adamant that I could not leave by the open door into the Hynes convention center. This despite having a badge for the conference occurring there, and having arrived from there at the start of the meal (without a coat since it is all indoors). At the end he chose simply to lie to me and tell me that the door to the inside mall was shut at 6pm, so even if I went into the Hynes there or down Boylston St. I could not get out into the inside mall. I thought he was probably lying but I decided not to push it and instead to walk around to the Sheraton in the cold. Then I walked through the hotel and mall to the inside door to the Hynes, which (of course) was wide open (at 8:50pm). This is how an overall 5-star dinner experience becomes a 3-star, when you are treated badly for no reason. Very disappointing, and definitely would not like to encounter him again. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area - go to one of those where you will be treated better. That's my plan in the future.

The great meal made me feel very satisfied. There are plenty of steak houses in Boston, and this store is obviously among the best. Its elegant environment, heart dishes, make me feel good value for money. Remember to choose the main course from the chef's suggestions. Definitely will come again.
worst server ever. Didnt check in with us. He simply came took orders and that was about it didnt ask how was everything . Just horrible service.
The food is out of this world. To say anymore would be just too much. We will be going back on Dec 9th for a party
Steak overcooked. Sent back. Then undercooked. Capital Grille Boston can’t get steak right?? Really?? Only Capital Grille where I have ever been consistently disappointed. Get it right, Boston! But as for me, I’m done.
Capital Grille in Boston is quite the gem! We have frequented other Capital Grille locations before, but this location exceeded all of our expectations.
We had the most amazing dinner experience at Capital Grill, Boston. We were celebrating our anniversary. We were taken to a s semi small room toward the back of the restaurant. We arrived to our beautiful table with rose pedals scattered on the table along with a card signed by the staff, Our server Zack went above and beyond for us. We ordered cocktails and our bread basket arrived a minute later. We ordered a Cesar salad to split which was done in the kitchen. Our main course arrived perfectly timed when our salad dishes were removed. I ordered the sliced steak. My husband ordered the sirloin. We got asparagus and lyonnaise potatoes for our sides. Everything was cooked to perfection and delivered by the wait staff very smoothly. Our dessert was complementary, small cheesecake and chocolate cake with candles, on a dish that said Happy Anniversary. Zack was terrific, very engaging and never over stayed his visit. We have visited all the Capital Grill restaurants throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Boston location knocked it out of the park, from the moment we entered the restaurant and were greeted by the very friendly staff to our exit. The past couple of years we have visited Chestnut Hill and Providence. We had a horrible experience at both locations and will not return, considering we have two other options: Burlington and Boston. I strongly suggest the management should correct the unprofessionalism and the team playing that doesn’t exit at those locations. I suggest if anyone wants a wonderful dining experience, go to Burlington or Boston. You will be happy you did!!!! :)
Birthday celebration at one of my favorite restaurants. Service was outstanding and very considerate. However the bone in filet was sub par. Grainy not very tender. Rather disappointing. My husbands ribeye steak was excellent. Chalking it up to a bad cut
As always great food and service. Had the rack of lamb it was perfect.
We went here before Symphony and they were very accommodating. The food was excellent, the portions were large and the prices were full. The wait staff was very accommodating. We asked to be seated in a quiet area and we were. The only complaint I had was the elongated martini glass in which they served prosecco. It seemed like a small pour but I obviously I couldn't measure it.
Great service and food. A+ steak house. Bone in filet special was delicious. Mashed potatoes were fantastic as well.
The team at The Capital Grille never misses! Went to dinner with my vegetarian friend who loves their alternatives to their amazing steaks and other entrees. The wine selection is excellent. Service is excellent - polite and timely. Ended with fresh strawberries and cream that we to die for --- well beyond strawberry season. Lattes were delicious. Overall a great experience. Hat's off to Chris Scott, General Manager. Keip up the amazing work.
What a great anniversary dinner we had at the Capital Grille. They went out of their way to make the evening special. Our server Bleu was excellent and very helpful with our requests. The food was incredible. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!
Capital Grille in Boston always delivers exceptional food and service. You will pay a premium, but you receive something fabulous.
We were a party of 6 celebrating 2 50th Birthdays and 1 73rd Birthday . We were served by Adnan. He was knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu and helped us to choose just the right amount of food for everyone. He had a lovely personality and a refreshing sense of humor. All of our meals came out perfectly . We enjoyed our birthday deserts, very delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal & evening with my family .
The Capital Grille is a top notch place. Whichever city you're in, you know you can expect the very best from them. The waitstaff, cuisine, atmoshphere are all top notch,
We went after the Red Sox parade and sat in the lounge. It was not excessively busy at all. We ordered cocktails, and then the wagyu & wine pairing special, which we had been looking forward to trying. The food and beverages were excellent, although my burger was well done instead of medium as I'd requested. The server never came to the table to check on us after the food was delivered, however, so I didn't have the opportunity to tell him. He walked right by us several times but never stopped. I feel at a place like Capital Grille I should not have to flag down the server to point out a problem, they should be at the table after a few bites to make sure everything meets expectations. I purposely wanted to see if he would ever stop on one of his pass-bys. Since he did not, I finished the burger (it still tasted great) and mentioned it to him when he cleared our plates. They did take it off the bill, so I can't complain about that, but I wasn't just looking for a free meal. He also took a long time after we finished our cocktails to take our food order. When you are at a high end restaurant like this, the service should be at a certain level, and always has been on our past visits. It was a bit disappointing this time, but we will return because we love Capital Grille.
Was seated right away. Hostess was very nice very nice very quick. Food was exceptional and service was also exceptional. Would highly recommend
