Three of us visited the Cannery's downstairs restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, with a sense of humor and positive attitude. Our food was excellent, two types of fresh fish and a slightly spicy pasta dish with lobster. The crab cakes were excellent. The deserts were great - we had the key lime pie and a caramel desert that was amazing. My only complaint is that the wine list is overpriced. I hope to visit again.
Ok but not great. Food so so
The Cannery is always a top notch enjoyable dinner venue... especially recommend enjoying the patio dining on the bay. The food never disappoints and always great service!
Overall good experience brought my girlfriend for her bday
Our server brought out a sundae to celebrate after we asked for a desert menu which was nice... I️ assumed I️t was on the house because of her bday but ended up being on the bill
The sundae was good but if I️ wanted to pay for a desert I️ would have liked to pick the one I️ wanted
Our family birthday celebration was fun and memorable.
Food was amazing! Our server Cory was outstanding! My favorite brunch spot!
Although we had a reservation, and were seated within 20 minutes, it was a long time before any one came to our table. We were in the restaurant for over an hour before our drinks finally arrived. We were told about the visiting chef's menu, and e asked to see it but never received it. When the waiter finally came over to take our order, we were afraid to ask again for the visiting chef's menu, lest we wait another 30 minutes before getting it... so we just ordered off the regular menu. The bread was excellent. The calamari appetizer was very ordinary, but we ate it anyway because we were so hungry. It took a long time to get our entrees. We had to flag down the busboy to get water refills. When our entrees finally arrived , the fish was fresh and nicely prepared and presented. Both entrees were delicious. Our waiter recognized the service problem: he explained that it was due to two large parties, and unexpected walk -ins from a restaurant nearby that was supposed to open but did not. I don't see how those things should affect the service to a customer with reservations, or to any seated customer, for that matter. The ladies room was a disgrace - trash overflowing in the stalls and hand-washing area. I went to the front desk to tell someone, but no one was there. Our server did graciously comp us for the cocktail and the glass of wine, and for the appetizer, a gesture that we much appreciated. Not sure, however, if we will return for another pricey dinner, hoping for a better experience.
My friend visited from Dallas and loved it!
Upon arrival, the hostess ignored us while she was on the phone. Not even a wave or hello gesture for at least 5 minutes. Since we were being ignored, we headed upstairs to the bar where we received great service. Good food and good drinks.
I have a number of food sensitivities and didn't see anything on the menu I could eat. The waiter suggested he give the list of things I can't eat to the chef and that the chef could make me something. I was so excited to get to eat a wonderful dinner with my family as we celebrated my husbands 60th birthday and not feel left out.
Thank you so much for accommodating my strict diet, You made it a night to remember.
We had s great night celebrating a birthday! The food was outstanding and the service perfect!
Loved the food. Service from Mike at the bar was top notch.
We really enjoyed meeting Alissa- the manager. She was very friendly.
Sale wine list was incredible. Huge selection and some great names.
Great atmosphere, food and service. Never seems to disappoint.
Great place.. Pro staff.. Delicious food
We had Easter Brunch at the Cannery. The food was delicious and we were given excellent service.
We love Cannery. Great location (on the harbor water). Upstairs seating was not ideal but it turned out to be nice for 'brunch'. I would not have liked it if we were there for romantic dinner. Wait staff was great. He was helpful and attentive. Menu was good. Only negative was we were told that they had "crab legs" and then were told "ran out" even after waiter went to confirm. It's a bit pricey for the food but it was Easter brunch. Valet parking is the only way to go. Make sure to take a picture on the water walkway.
With a reservation we still had to wait over an hour for our table. Thought that was odd. The food was amazing though. Everyone loved the food. And service was real good. The location is very nice. Been coming here for years. And will continue too.
Worst excuse for Easter brunch.. u should advertise s set 3 course meal when you made a reservation... or when you confirmed... or the 3rd time when you called in that morning..
Complete scam of an Easter $140 breakfast...
Went for Easter brunch $400 for 4 one was s child. Servers sounded rushed just moving along not personable a lot of money for eggs and French toast even on a holiday we have been here several times and this was the worst experience I think since they know it’s a set price they didn’t care.
The food was Excellent my friend order the wine and it was very tasty too. Our waitress was on top of her serving talents and managed 3 tables too. Will be back!
Great experience - wonderful service - excellent food!
Service was perfunctory from our waiter. we had a party of 88 so the gratuity is pre-determined at 20%, which was undeserved. food was enjoyable though expensive but you have to pay for the harbor view I guess.
The food isn’t that great, pricey for what we ordered. Not a place to recommend. It was a Bday celebration and we could have gone somewhere else.
It was a great meal and evening
Great atmosphere, food was good, robust wine list. It was a little pricey for what you get but sitting outside on a cool evening made it special.
We had a delightful chef prepared 3 course rasting menu.
Had dinner here with family last weekend on a recommendation from a friend. The foods were good. The service was lack luster although restaurant was pretty empty. Waiter could have been more attentive. He didn’t even know we had already finished appetizers and ready to order entrees. He seemed to be missing for long periods of time. Had to pour our own wine.
The downstairs patio area was closed in by plastic sheets, which made the room loud and too warm. I asked if they could raise the sheet, but the server told me that someone, who was not sitting by the window and sheet, thus not as directly affected by it as we were, had asked earlier that it not be raised. Our table was in the corner, against the sheet and in the sun, which made for a less than comfortable and peaceful Sunday brunch experience for us, which is a shame since I've been having brunch at The Cannery for more than 35+ years, and I wanted my daughter to have a great experience celebrating her 21st birthday there.
The service was great and the ambiance was wonderful but in our group of 6 people, not one enjoyed their meal. Would definitely not go again and would not recommend.
The menu was not very interesting. The food was OK, the service was excellent. But the prices were outrageous. It did my heart good to see that the restaurant was only about half filled on a Friday night. It may be located in an upscale area, but no one likes to feel gouged. There are too many other good restaurants that give good price value. Even the pasta item on the menu was in the mid $30's. This used to be a great restaurant, food, service, and value. Not any longer. They have seen the last of us.
The shrimp cocktail was impeccable. I ordered the shrimp tacos. I just had too much of the creamy sauce. I like to taste my fish whenever I ate fish either way. Less lost you guys. Otherwise everything was great.
Birthday was awesome and Garrett was a great manager
We had a great dinner as always! Staff is always amazing and food is great!
We've been going to the Cannery for years, it never disappoints us. Always delicious and very lovely waitstaff who are knowledgable and accommodating.
Great brunch on the patio, with a dozen oysters, frittata, and Benedict. New menu today, missing a couple items we liked, but no big deal. Benedict was great, frittata was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Love the ambiance, and the service is always great!
Sushi is half the size it used to be. What happened? We loved the Cannery sushi
Seafood salad was tasteless.
This was the first time I left The Cannery disappointed due to our server. He had an arrogant attitude, demeaning tone, and actually argued that a specific dish we came for had not been on the menu for years. I find that odd because I had that specific dish multiple times within the last 2 years. I understand that the menu changes however, there is a more professional and cordial way of speaking to customers. I also made my reservation and noted that we were celebrating a special occasion which was not acknowledged.
We considered getting a table, we decided on the bar. We had an awesome bartender, Trevor. Will come back again!
Patio dining lacks ambience at night. Very noisy. Too close. Halibut was tough and chewy. Seafood pot pie was great. Of the five of us, no one raved about the food (pot pie excepted). Waiter (Cory) was entertaining and prompt. Prices are very high considering atmosphere (patio). Valet is good. Greeters were courteous and friendly. Bar is complete and reasonable. Have been to the Cannery many times in the past. This experience was below par. Lends itself to the old Berraism (Yogi Berra), "nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded". It is crowd specific. Will probably go again but not for a while.
