The burger was dry, the pork chop was dry and the grits were dry. We had to wait over one and a half hours before we got our food.
Service was slow and 4 of our 6 dinners were terrible.
We were there about 6:00 and they were out of salmon, we ordered the chicken because the menu was very limited, really wanted the salmon and nothing else on the menu was really appealing.
We both ordered the same meal and we were very disappointed, it food was so bland, we both had to keep putting salt on the dish so there was some taste.
We had friends who were supposed to come, they were glad they didnt.
We had anniversary reservations for 6:30. We ordered at 6:45. 2 prime rib dinners which shouldn't take long to prepare. Our food arrived at 8:30. The prime rib was luke warm at best, but did taste good. The side dish I asked for was wrong when it came out but was corrected. The au jus didn't come out with our meal, as well as the horseradish we asked for. Our drinks sat empty on the table throughout most of the evening. Even after informing our server that I was supposed to be to work at 9. We were not offered any compensation whatsoever. 1 meal free, 50% off the check, but honestly I expected to be offered a full free meal in this situation. We left feeling very unsatisfied with our dining experience.
Our waiter had zero personality. I think the wait staff should be better trained for an overall better dining experience. My steak I ordered as medium came as rare. I returned it to cook more and it arrived well done. Such a shame. My husband ordered the fish fry which was exceptional. I grew up in Willowick and it was my first experience at the restaurant. I thought the atmosphere was lovely. After we left the restaurant we opted for dessert at Dairy Queen. We had a better experience going through the drive thrubecause of the young lady working there was friendly and enthusiastic. That is the way the wait staff should be at the cabin!!!
This was a great place to take my wife on a date for a clambake they were having. We got there around 8pm. The place is clean and decorated nicely, but the lights throughout the place flickered. Hopefully they'll get that fixed soon. The waiter did turn them down which stopped the bright strobe flickers . Our waiter was very busy with a lot of tables and the bar...But somehow he managed to keep our food and drinks coming. We arrived just after a huge rush and several parties being held there...But we did get our clams, steak, and lobster fairly quickly. The food was well prepared and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this place to anyone for a romantic evening, or a night out with friends.
Our food was excellent. Two people had the clam bake special, one each for salmon, scallop, and filet mignon.
The clam bake was their special and there were not enough servers, bar tenders and kitchen help for the crowd at 6:30
We were repeatedly told there were no glasses clean. Every drink we had came in a different glass.
We ended up going to the bar and asking for our bottle of wine we ordered, but had to then wait for glasses.
They definitely need more staffing
Probably by far the worst service we have ever experience. Service was beyond poor and food was marginal.
Another great night out with friends! Awesome food and very well worth it!
Service was great too!
Server did a great job. But she was all by herself on the floor. It was not too busy. But, it was too much for one person. I like The Cabin for business lunches because it is quiet. But, this lunch went too long.
I have never been disappointed by the food. This lunch was no exception. Prime rib sandwich was great.
Your wait staff was congenial, friendly and efficient. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed our evening.
They have a better menu than delivery. 5 of us tried 4 different menu items and we all left disappointed. Not sure if we will try again
Friendliest staff ever! Great food with a great presentation and prompt service. Have never had a sub par meal here!
Could not have enjoyed it more. Perfect atmosphere, service, food and date. We definitely will be back.
The service is friendly and efficient. The food is very bland and greasy, and just not equal to the asking prices. I value the dollars I paid out much more than the food and experience, in other words. I did not go home thinking it was worth every cent, but the opposite, unfortunately.
Dinner with friends. Everyone’s food was good (fish and steaks). Not rushed through courses
Excellent service, well prepared food, and pleasant atmosphere.
This is such a wonderful restaurant.. it never fails to be perfectly delicious. The sushi is a real surprise for anyone that hasn’t tried it here. We had out of town guests in & they said it was some of the best they’ve ever had! Dishes we had were Salmon, Prime Rib, BBQ Brisket, Caprese Salad, Pork. Each had a beautiful presentation & each was delicious! Chef/Owner Carmen is fabulous. Can’t wait to go back!
Not the best, but acceptable....! I thought the price a bit excessive for what we received but I don't go out often enough to be reminded of today's costs. It was a special occasion but not as good as I had hoped it would be...but the service was lovely and the waitress deserved her tip!
Good food! Nice service!
Food took too long coming to table, not the servers fault. Flat bread was bland and plain, lacking toppings.
Augratin potatoes looked like hash browns. Ribs were cooked well, needed additional sauce. We took a chance on the sushi but should have passed. My grandson enjoyed his very well done hamburger. Not done well, very well done. Crab cakes were described as small but silver dollar size is unappealing.
What a great place!!! I fell in love with the atmosphere & the employees are so gracious. We ate in the bar and received many recommendations from everyone. I loved the sushi and the fabulous onion soup. Can’t wait to return.
The Cabin Restaurant is a unique experience with beautiful ambiance and delectable food. I would recommend anyone I know to The Cabin as every meal is a winner!
Paula provided us with a phenomenal dining experience. The food was excellent!
Love this place! Cozy, clean and well run. The wait staff is always so friendly and the food is amazing. They also have great happy hours.
Went to The Cabin on Saturday night. This was our second time there. We enjoyed the first time about 18 months ago.
The waitress was so busy(?) she would leave before we ever had a chance to say anything to her. This happened repeatedly. My wife and I each ordered a Manhattan. The bill came and there were 2 separate charges for $1. When I asked about it we were told that was for "on the rocks". We were charged an extra dollar each for our Manhattans because they had ice!
Probably won't be back- it's just irritating to be nickled and dimed like that.
Nice evening, good food, good service (little slow due to number of patrons - only one server in bar area - too much to handle alone and tend bar for all of the restaurant).
The service was outstanding! Hubby had strip steak..$30..large portion and tasty with huge pile of REAL mashed potatoes and real fresh green beans..heath every bite. I had lamb shank with polenta..it was allin one bowl..next time I will have it separate..needed more veggies. It is pricey but good food! Wendy took Great care of us for my b-day dinner!
Food was AMAZING!
Service was AWESOME!
Well worth the money!!!
Ordered a cocktail. It was incredibly watered down with too much ice.
No steaks on the menu had any descriptions of the size of the cut. The steak I ordered came out overcooked.
Our waiter, who smelled like an ashtray, said that the desert menu was all made in house. We ordered the chocolate cake. It tasted like microwaved Betty Crocker.
Finally, remember that watered down cocktail? The one with too much ice? When we received our bill, I found out that I was charged for that ice.
Food was excellent! The service was awesome!
Beautiful place with fireplace inside. Tuesday was Burger night, and food was very good. Be aware, everything was a la carte, so need to order fries or other sides separately. Very good beer and dessert options
Our waitstaff, Wendy was friendly and efficient. The wine list was nice and well appointed. The interior was charming. My husband’s filet mignon was perfect. My wedge salad blue cheese dressing was good. My lamb shank was meaty but it tasted like it was warmed up. It was served over polenta which was very good.
Absolutely fantastic! We made reservations and were seated immediately upon arriving, no wait!! Perfect! Dinner was delicious and flavorful. My wife said she had the best filet mignon that she has ever had and the chef made it perfectly. The French Onion soup was divine! My dish was shrimp on a bed of grits accompanied by delicious fried green tomatoes and fried collards. There was no room for dessert, but I am sure it too is delicious. Will definitely be back!
We shared a beet salad and that was excellent. We had the fish fry. The fish was perfectly cooked but is did not have much flavor. The tartar sauce was bland as was the Cole slaw. Pam our server was great. She had a difficult time getting a glass of red wine from the bar.
Wonderful spot to enjoy a fine meal or a quick bite at happy hour. Great service with a smile and friendly people. Yes, the sushi is so good!
We enjoyed our dinner at The Cabin. Food was exceptionally prepared! Had the Filet Mignon and Pork Chop. We licked the plates clean. The ambiance, noise level, and decor was not as good as the food. Tables are tightly packed in the dining room and the noise level was high. We felt like we could participate in other table’s conversations. And the decor was old. My girlfriend had eaten there about 10 yrs prior and said the decor was the same and it did look somewhat dusty. I also received a phone call from the restaurant halfway through dinner stating I missed my reservation, although we clearly didn’t.
I would recommend friends to eat at the Cabin as the food was most excellent!
Loved this place! The coziness of being in a "cabin" made it the perfect place for the three of us. The service was good and the food was fantastic! Took my Grandfather there for his 88th birthday and the staff made him feel important! They even gave him a huge piece of chocolate cake & wrote happy birthday on the container! It's the little things...
Great service, good food!
We booked reservations for the cabin at 6:30 PM on Christmas Eve for a party of eight. We were running a little late and when I called to let them know they said no worries were way behind. We were seated at 7 o’clock. Our food did not arrive until 9 o’clock and that was because I had a complete meltdown and called the manager. Our waiter was fabulous really nice person but his hands were tied. Do not go to this restaurant on a holiday whatever you do. We’ve been there before and it was a decent place. This was on acceptable. The large party behind us did not get served for three hours. That group had children and the one mom commented that she had too many cocktails and wanted their dinner to go. The manager never came back to see how we were. He didn’t even offer anything else. We really had a bad experience.
