Great food and service
We booked a table at the C for our special night out on vacation. The ambiance overlooking Monterey Bay is wonderful. We had the cerviche appetizer and it was delicious. We created our own surf & turf. My wife ordered the swordfish and I ordered the filet mignon. They were both excellent. The filled meringue desert special was superb. We will eat here again
My wife and I had a great time and were treated extra special as it was our 5-Year Anniversary.
The food was amazing, our waiter was awesome and we had a great experience! We will definitely recommend this place to any of our friends/family and will come back when we are back in Monterey.
We had a birthday celebration. We took our own wine.
The hostess was terrible. Not friendly or accommodating at all. We wanted a table for 4 near the water view window we were told they can’t accommodate. Later a single person party of 1 came and because she was rude and made a stink they seated her at the exact table we asked for.
Our server José was amazing. He made up for the terrible table location. He made the night. Thank you Jose!!
Food was all ridiculously delicious.
My husband and I are having dinner quite often at C restaurant and we love it.
We like the food, the place, and the service.
We highly recommend it.
Wonderful food, wonderful location, wonderful service. We loved our breakfast. We ate outside on the patio with our 2 small dogs. We could hear and see the beautiful bay while eating, it was so relaxing We didn't want to leave!
We are here over Labor Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We are local and the service was excellent & our meal was great too. We had the calamari appetizer, Brussels sprouts, I had a New York steak and my husband had the ribeye. We each had a dessert- lemon meringue and s’more. They were really good but we really wanted the milk and honey dessert. It would have been the perfect meal had they still had the milk and honey dessert. The service was spectacular!
Go for the views, stay for the food. Seafood was flavorful, service was outstanding
We had a reservation here for 5p on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. While driving down from the Bay Area we hit quite a bit of traffic at Watsonville which we knew would make us late. Through Open Table we switched around our reservation for later with no issue.
During our meal there we received excellent service. Per our waiter's recommendation I got the Shrimp Papparedelle which was absolutely fantastic. On weekend nights the restaurant has live music provided by local guitarist John Sherry. The live music was a nice treat and John did instrumental covers of a wide range of songs, both classics and modern hits. The music was present but not overpowering and my wife and I were still able to have nice dinner conversation.
If you're in the Monterey Cannery row area, or staying at the Intercontinental, definitely make a night of dinner plans here, you won't regret it.
The evening was memorable in many ways. Ambiance was great. Jose, our waiter made it even more memorable. The food was exquisite and the service one of the best in many years. Jose catered every one of our requests in all possible ways.
To top the evening there was this hoy playing the guitar and took everyone through a journey from the Beatles to Luis Fonsi’s Despacito.
Great cocktails, cheese plate, ravioli, husband had a great stake! Sat outside love this place.
Wow absolutely amazing food and service. We had the salmon Benedict (not on menu but they went out of their way to make it for us) and salmon bagel, kids pancakes. All was fresh. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Our waiter did forget about the pancakes so he gave them to us complimentary which was very kind. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had.
What should have been a great dining experience was utterly ruined by a couple with 3 young children who screamed, cried and ran around the tables during most of our meal. Be aware that the restaurant caters to families being so close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The restaurant has been remodeled and it works well with the setting. The openness with excellent views of the water were maintained. For breakfast there are currently limited options all of which are very standard. The food was well prepared with good flavor. The prices were high, but in line with what hotel restaurants are charging for breakfast.
Amazing service and food.
Great Service, excellent view and meal.
Color pallette inside was soothing. Wait staff was attentive & accommodating. Aciel, our server, was kind, communicative, & knowledgeable. Wonderful experience. We will definitely return.
Amazing food, great service, and overall wonderful atmosphere!
Very good food. A limited but sold wine list. Excellent service. Live music outstanding.
Excellent foid and service. Our first time at C. We will be back when we visit Monterey again.
Great ambiance, lovely quiet location with excellent food in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Cannery Row. Would definitely recommend for a romantic night out or if you wanted an excellent quiet meal.
Good wine list and delicious cocktails. Ceviche was outstanding. Pasta good and Arctic char dinner better.
Great staff & bartender, food was great, the view was very nice, very clean, staff very friendly a great place to eat. I highly recommend it.
Our waiter (Jose) and serving staff were excellent. The food was quite good - interesting suaces on our fist. My swordfish was cooked just right; my wife's salmon was a bit underdone.
There was a guitarist when we went. He was pretty good, but too loud. Folks were speaking loudly to be heard over the music. Things got better after his break.
We enjoyed three birthdays at the C restaurant on that one evening. We were shocked when we were told that no Valet was available for diners. Even though we had called three times the day before to find out about parking with all lines busy and told to call back, we had no prior knowledge of the Valet situation.
There was no indication on Open Table that told about the Valet parking not being available for diners. Since two of us had minor disability issues, we were thankfully accommodated, however.
At the Hostess station, the young robot woman took us to our booth and got the job done.
Then we met the high-light of the night and his name was Jerry. He was extremely welcoming and helpful to get us started on water, cocktails, bread, etc. Our service people were efficient, but we felt rushed throughout the evening.
However, the food was great.
Jerry brought out dessert for all three of us celebrating our birthdays. There were lit candles, and we were serenaded with the birthday song. Thank you!
We stopped in after visiting the aquarium-great food and atmosphere.
Food was delicious. We split a bowl of clam chowder and I had the shrimp and crab pappardelle. Everything was wonderful. Service was a bit slow and scattered, but our server took very good care of us!
Anniversary. Dinner was spoiled by lack of a listed service. At the time, I was forced to use a wheelchair. Chose this Restrurant due to description of Valet service on webpages. Very valuable to me due to limited mobility. Upon arrival, was told there was no valet. Since I was not a guest of the hotel, I was told i must find a parking space on the street. The nearest space we found was three blocks away, on a steep hill. By the time we arrived, we were out of breath and covered with sweat. Not a good look for a “high-end” restaurant. Very disappointed in initial experience. ThAnk goodness the food was excellent, or my review would be much more harsh.
First and foremost… Our server, Jose, was impeccable in every way. His wine and dessert recommendations were both exactly what we didn’t know we wanted. He was polite, respectful and a person who genuinely wanted to see that our dining experience was first rate. He succeeded!
The beautifully plated food was both delicious and inventive.
Our entertainment was a fabulous guitarist who had a beautiful spin on all genres of music. We were guessing familiar songs as we dined and enjoyed the easy listening aspect of his offerings.
All in all a perfect evening where all the components made a lovely whole. Thank you!
Amazing server, had a great time!
Very good food and ambience. Service was very friendly although a bit forgetful with our order. Pricing about 10-15 percent higher than competitors.
Swordfish with caper sauce was flavorless. My partner’s duck breast was tasty.
The experience was amazing! Our sever Jose was spectacular and the food was delicious. The drinks were excellent as well. The live music was a perfect touch. Would highly recommend!
Great food and service, wonderful experience
Hands down some of the worst service I have ever had. Food was good but not enough to make up for our server ignoring us.
Small overpriced plates. The seafood is good although not extraordinary The ambiance is excellent.
I requested a window table, and they gave me one, however, there was a wood panel between two narrow windows by our small table. This panel limited the view of the ocean. Food and service was good and they presented a nice dessert for my birthday.
