We were pleasantly surprised by our dinner. The menu was very creative, the presentation very artistic and the flavor was beyond our expectations. Sitting on the porch on a beautiful warm evening overlooking the gardens was heavenly. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to eat while visiting Butchart Gardens.

Such kudos to the waitress for the very warm sincere service and being so respectful with educated concern for a friends pepper allergy. Sorry I didn’t get her name. She and Isabella really made my visit delightful.

WOW— I just had the most INCREDIABLE birthday dinner here. I sat out on porch and took in the lovely garden all around me. We had the best and sweetest server. She had been there for 11 years! Well she is a true gem and they are smart to keep her ! I want to start by saying I have a annual pass for Biltmore Gardens in Ashville, NC .—-we’ll move over Biltmore because Buchart Gardens are really just the most beautiful in the world I’m convinced. Now to dinner ! Order anything cause it’s all divine. The kids said their ceaser salad was better than mine! Mine is the best in the small town I live in Ocala, Florida. The crime brûlée. To yummy ! But being there as sun was setting and a hummingbird flew by. It cannot be beat. Book ahead. I saw them turn away several people while there. The Japanese garden a must “stroll” after dinner. Such beauty. I truly felt a part of 1900’s! When people had dinner then a stroll in the gardens !

Food and food service were excellent, BUT it is well to check with the restaurant for menu, fixed-price and garden-combination options before coming. Combination garden-dining pricing is not presented on the website, and the ticket gate staff didn't understand it well enough to explain at the entrance gate. It was further obscured by our server and not presented on the table menu, so for a group of four I ended up spending $60-$100 more than I should have.

This was my second time doing an afternoon tea at the gardens and once again it was sensational! The experience was absolutely divine and I encourage anyone who enjoys the decadence of an afternoon tea to indulge in the one offered at Buchart Gardens.

We were there because of the very beautiful gardens. The dining room is a bit on the expensive side. We were there on a Monday afternoon. Without reservations we would not have gotten in without a long wait. The service was very good. Servers were very friendly and service was prompt and smooth. We were not rushed at all. We dined from the lunch menu. It had limited selection but was very tasty. Overall it was a lovely experience. We would recommend.

We went during the week so our reservation was prompt when we arrived. By far the best bang-for-buck if a trip to the Gardens is in your itinerary! Plan for an hour to enjoy the tea experience. Excellent treats and teas! We tried three including the lemongrass-ginger, Bachelor Button, and 100 Anniversary. Bachelor Button being our favorite. 5 stars indeed! Outdoor seating is a must if weather permitting. Again, reservations strongly recommended way in advance for weekends and busier times!

My husband and I went to the Dining Room for Afternoon Tea while visiting the Gardens. It was so relaxing. The room is lovely and the array of tea foods was delicious! We couldn't finish it all so our server brought us a box to take the rest of it with us. I would highly recommend this restaurant for Afternoon Tea or any other meal.

We went to Buschart Gardens for their afternoon tea as part of a celebration of our wedding anniversary. The ambiance for a quiet occasion and the service was excellent.

We enjoyed the dining area with the floral decor and ability to overlook the gardens, as well as the sandwich, treats, and desserts in addition to the fine tea.

I did send in a review to Bucharts website. I went with my family for afternoon tea as a belated mothers day outing.
It was our first time for tea and we had a wonderful time. Especially my mom she loved it. The staff was friendly, curious and made us fell so welcome. The ambiance was perfect with a view of the gardens.
Tea time was a wonderful experience 10 out of 10. I will be back.

Girls vacation of 3 generations from Colorado... We planned this tea lunch for months. We loved our table with the most amazing view of the gardens and lovely music to set the scene. Our waitress was was very well informed and down to earth. My daughter and I ordered high tea and my granddaughter, with some dietary restrictions, ordered the tuna salad with these tasty and crunchy beluga lentils. The salad was amazing. The high tea was spectacular, we loved the savory sandwiches. We appreciated that our waitress suggested that we could take home what we could not finish. It was all delicious! Definitely plan ahead and make a reservation. We wish we knew our waitress's name only that the receipt had #000113.

We came here to try their Afternoon Tea service. The price was very affordable considering the offerings, the food were delicious with diverse palate. The best I would say were the German sausage garnished with their homemade mustard, tuna and egg salad sandwiches, and pretty much all the sweet offerings. Their selection of teas were impressive, many of which were made from their garden.

Aside of the delectable morsels of munchies, the staff and the service was top notch and extremely friendly; while the ambiance and setting of the establishment itself was perfect for that vintage, tea time experience... and the mood of the environment was calm, relaxing, prestigious.

As affordable as the Afternoon Tea service was, the only caveat is that you do have to pay admission to the Gardens to be a patron of the restaurant, but if you are planning on touring the Gardens anyway, then the Afternoon Tea at The Dining Room restaurant is a deal and definite must.

We had high tea on the patio overlooking the gardens on a beautiful, sunny day. Idyllic is the word that comes to mind. Service was exceptional and not intrusive, the tea sandwiches and pastries were subtle and beautifully presented, tea was served in large pots which retained their heat, so a waiter didn't need to refill with hot water. We've had tea at many places over the years and this was the most delightful and relaxing tea, as well as an exceptional value. Plus, we got to stroll through beautiful gardens afterwards!
