The waiter told us the kitchen was closed at 8pm after we were shown to our table. Our reservation was 8:30. Then when we stood up to leave, he took a food order from another couple. Then said ok, I guess they’re still open. I just think he wanted to go home.
I really like the burger and sweet potato fries at this pub. However, the noise level with all of the tvs and the super loud music is much too loud for any kind of conversation. And the AC is blasting cold. This is my last visit to this place.
My new favorite brunch place. Love the food
We were a table of 6 on 4/5/18 with a reservation at 11 am. 3 of the 6 of us ordered fish and chips. One person left most of her fish and chips and ate her french fries so the server took it off the check while the other 2 who ordered fish and chips ate it. The fish and chips were overfried and very dry. This was clearly the worse fish and chips i have ever had. Very unhappy with the fish and chips . We have gone to Bunker Hill before as our office it across the street from Bunker Hill Restaurant. We are hesitating whether we will go there for future lunches. It was just so bad. I would not recommend the fish and chips ever to other people. The other half of our party was pleased with their food which one ordered cobb salad, soup and salad, and someone ordered a pasta dish.
AWESOME food! The steak salad was the best! BBQ Chicken salad is good too!
LAFC official pub
Ordered the quinoa burger. It was filling and came with a salad. However, at $14, it should have come with fries. The fries were good and are meant to be shared at $6. Nonetheless, lunch would run you $21 for and sandwich, split fries, tax and tip. Thats pretty pricey for your own pocket vs an expense account.
The server was slow to in bring the tab check, we had to ask for it.
Food was good and the customer service was great !
Good vibe and staff. The jam session was great as well. Nice place for a date or to hang with friends.
Everything they served had no flavor - truffle pasta tasted like pasta drowning in butter, the wine was gross...I could not eat any of it.
Disappointed this time. They closed earlier, but never advised us why they were rushing us through our meal until the very end when they advised us that they are closing early due to maintenance. I’m not sure why they couldn’t have told me that when we walked in and I had reservations for two weeks. Someone could have said something at some point in time instead of rushing us through our meal and then kicking us out in the end.
Bunker hill was a very great relaxed place to have brunch. They serve inexpensive mimosas (not bottomless, but cheap enough it’s not an issue). My only complaint is that the prices on the website didn’t match.
First time visiting though have walked by on numerous occasions. Fresh selection of salads - many beer to choose from (though we didn't imbibe during our lunch hour so will have to return for HH). Bright, sunny environment which we enjoyed. Only complaint, and it's minor, is we were nearly finished - as in one or two bites away - with our meal before the waitress returned to ask if everything was okay. Doesn't detract though - I'd return.
Went in for lunch with a friend. Service was nice and prompt. We both ordered salads and both were disappointing as there were drenched in salad dressing, I mean crazy drenched. The greens were so soaked in dressing I honestly could not tell the mixture of lettuces! No time to send back to kitchen.
Food was delicious, but service was really slow...
This place was GREAT...there were 8 of us, and we got prime seating. The mimosas are great, the chicken and waffles, MY FAV<
Order was missing items that waiter never followed up on, brought us the wrong check, dropped off someone else’s credit card to us and never refilled drinks
Took over 30 minutes to receive food. Had to ask twice for items. (I.e., coffee)
The food was absolutely horrible. I’ve never had such a dry grilled chicken taco before. The server that brought us our meal just threw the food on the table. He didn’t ask who ordered what; he just put the plates on the table and walked off. Bunker Hill Bar & Grill is the WORST restaurant I’ve ever dined in!!!!
It was a sports bar experience in the middle of a local pro team game. Boisterous and busy.
Great spot and nice happy hour! I would recommend here!
Too loud. Took too long to get the food. The salmon quinoa bowl was okay--a little bland.
Somewhat inattentive service. Pretty good food. They lost my special request for birthday cake. Unbelievable number of TV's for sports
Opted to dine here so that our friend could watch football before our reservation at The Broad Museum. Wasn't expecting the food to be any better than your typical sports bar fare so, wasn't disappointed when that is pretty much what we experienced. That being said, the food was decent and our server, although not overly attentive, was very nice. It seems they were short staffed for the night so he was not entirely to blame. I would dine here again if I was in DTLA and looking for a place to watch a game. The number of televisions to patrons ratio is most certainly a draw for any sports fan.
I took my clients there for lunch prior to an arbitration in the building next door. The food and service were terrific, and the price was just right.
Great spot for a yummy lunch. My favorite is the grilled fish tacos - delicious. And some menu come with a side salad - the dressing is perfect.
I would not recommend Bunker Hill Bar & Grill. The food was NOT GOOD! They messed up a club sandwich..even the bacon! Who messes up bacon?! The service was fine, but the food was terrible. Sorry!
The Fried Chicken Plate is AMAZING! I have to say I've tried a few dishes but this is by far my fave!
Good happy hour. Very nice servers. Cool building and location.
Excellent Happy Hour venue. Drinks and appetizers do not dissapoint.
A friends birthday.
We were going to an afternoon play and we wanted to watch The Steeler Game. Great food, good service, seated us right in from of the TV that was featuring The Steelers
Great location, very nice patio and good drinks. It was a little on the pricey side, but it worked. The fish tacos were really good. It is a fun place to meet your friends and hang out.
When it comes to sports bars, my standards aren't really high. I don't expect 5 star waiter service or gourmet food. Unfortunately, this place fell well below my already low standards. Awful food and awful service.
Great for happy hour and a quick lunch during the work week.
However, I wish they had more restrooms.
I have to give credit where credit is due. Since my last review, Bunker Hill seems to have regained their attention to detail, both in service and food presentation and quality. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and perfectly cooked, and the shrimp quinoa bowl was delicious. Our server Dominic is always professional and attentive, so that added to the whole experience.
I'll start off with a good note. The restaurant looks great. Walking in i appreciated the dim lighting amd layout. We sit down. Our waitress comes to our table without introducing herself or giving us a warm welcome. She seemed to be irritated when I asked her questions about the menu and replied with short answers. After she takes our order, we wait for our food for probably 20-25 minutes. No refilling of water or checking on us. Food finally arrives. My burger was so dry I had it sent back. I settled on eating sweet potato fries instead but the ranch dressing was spoiled or something. It was like curdled cheese. I just gave up and left the restaurant hungry and disappointed.
A nice mid-afternoon happy hour in the patio. Good drinks and appetizers too.
Waiter was attentive and timely. Food was tasty.
Patio (paper) table cloths continued to be blown to floor by wind and was a bit distracting.
1st drink glass was a bit dirty at the rim.
