The Bull Ring
The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.

Steak And Lobster Combination
Combine any steak with an australian cold water lobster tail
The thickest and tenderest steak of all - 12oz
A favorite of many, served au jus - 16oz
We went on a quiet Monday night and had a marvelous time. Friendly, knowledgeable service, two great shrimp appetizers (coconut and bbq) were enough to share for a table of five. Steaks were excellent, great, crispy shoestring potatoes and lots of pencil-thin asparagus as sides to share. Prices are like a NYC or Chicago steakhouse, but the quality warrants it. We will be back.
Not the best not the worst… could’ve done without.
Bread was burned, orders arrived wrong, had to request steak knives and salt and pepper, ridiculously overpriced, ordered onion strings, got onion rings - soaked in grease. $44 petite filet ordered medium came very rare. All sides are $9 extra. Will never return.
It was and as always great!
Very nice steak house with all the traditional menu items, comfortable booths and a patio. Generous with the pours which is unique these days. Wonderful selections for those non-steak folks and great dessert menu. Pecan pie is a must.
If you’re a red meat eater it’s worth the trip otherwise not impressive
good food, first time eating there. it was nice, i will go back 0n my next anniversary
We have never experienced a bad, or questionable meal at the Bull Ring. Some of the best steaks in all of Santa Fe. Excellent wine list and sides selection. Just missed seeing Harry.
The service was excellent here. The Petite Filet was superb. The overall experience was perfection. This place has the WOW-FACTOR!
Service was excellent and the steaks outstanding. Great place for our graduation celebration dinner. We’ll be back, for sure!
The filets were pretty good but the prime rib was a bit disappointing. Overall the service was good, but it didn’t stand out to me as an exceptional restaurant.
This was the best steak I have ever had! The server was perfection.
One of our favorite Santa Fe restaurants. Classic, old-fashioned, cozy steakhouse with great food and out-of-this-world service. From the owner down everyone is so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the Bull Ring!
Great steak but most other food items need some adjustments and are not fine dining level.
The fillet was excellent as was the sea bass. The double fruit pie with ice cream topped off a great experience.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. They went above and beyond to make us feel special.
Poor Service-Very Expensive- Loud, and unorganized. Poor value for cost. Nor sure they understand how to prepare prime rib (not seasoned, asked for Medium Rare and was served blood rare.) Asparagus was way overcooked and over priced. On menu it was listed as Seasonal - Ask Server, came out to $13 for about a half pound. Wanted to order shrimp cocktail but was listed as $20 and no one around me had one, was afraid seafood may of been sitting in kitchen for a while.
Was not offered bread, while other tables had it brought right out to them. Was not offered bread plates had to use dirty plates from horsd'ouevre. Plates came from the kitchen creaming hot and placed on table with no warning as to how hot they are.
Some of the sides were generous, but there was no way an order of Au gratin potatoes was going to feed more than maybe two. Waitress did not know the specials
Would not go back there and would not recommend.
I've yet to be dissapointed. Steaks are very good quality and cooked to perfection. Only feedback is maybe a few more options on the starters.
My friend and I ordered the Irish coffee for desert and it was terrible. Neither of us drank it and the waiter not even noticed... of course we had to pay for it.
Excellent food and service as always. So nice to be back with indoor dining!
Good food, good service. I had one of the best porterhouse steaks ever.
Simply marvelous rib eye. Great. I’m from Kansas City and lived in Chicago for 20 years
This is the best steak I have eaten
The filets were cooked perfectly and were some of the best I have eaten. The raspberry/rhubarb pie was as good as my mother used to make.
Ordered bar menu food in the dining room and the fish was way over cooked. Fries were under cooked.
Steak was very good.
The host was very odd, ignoring us for at least 5 minutes when we first arrived. Then she kept brushing us off. Then she yelled across the dining room that our table was ready and we could be seated. For the level of finite dining that is the Bull Ring I was surprised by the brash behavior.
Our server was wonderful, the food was fantastic.
35th Anniversary - Great dinner, the lobster was outstanding, petite filet tender as butter! Wish they would have provided bread instead of the hostess asking us to support them for Best Restaurant of Santa Fe! We will go again the next time we are in town, next time we’ll ask for bread!
We had a great time and dinner and we will recommend The Bull Ring to all!! FABULOUS!!
A very good Prime Rib, perfect donned and very good service!
First time in Santa Fe. Had overdosed on spicy Mexican at lunch and knew no one would ask me what color sauce I wanted here!!
Was a lovely evening
Exemplary service and excellent food
Absolutely EVERYTHING was spot on! Food was perfect, delicious, and very generous portions of sides, and meat course. Even the size of the wine glass and its contents-super sized! Nothing to complain about, whatsoever! Service, quality of atmosphere, food-amazing! We will always return when we are able and in Santa Fe! Well done, Bull Ring!!
One of the best steak dinners we have ever eaten. Service was great. Worth the price. Will return!!
The Seabass was marginal and the pineapple mango chutney taste as if it was left unwraped in the refrigerator-was chewy-over baked-the presentation...there was not one-we get it still the days of the a la carte entree and $9 sides needs to go especially if the food is just so so we won’t be back-There are other restaurants to do this but their food is exceptional so blame it on the pandemic who knows but maybe get new plates that supposed to be a joke-
Amazing food and service!
We've dined at Bull Ring numerous times, this time was an unpleasant experience. The food wasn't great and the waiter was quite poor. We were seated in the far back corner and although it was quiet, we were essentially ignored. It took close to 10 minutes after being seated for the waiter to take our drink order. Anyway, nobody cares and I'm sure Bull Ring doesn't need the business. I'm sorry to say we probably won't be returning to the Bull ring on our next visit to Santa Fe.
Great experience as always!
The food was disappointing. The service was even worse.
Over priced food poorly executed. Food served on dishes you’d find at ponderosa. Steak was not high quality which you’d expect for 45.00 for a petite filet. Basic food.
We have eaten in the Bull Ring every year for several years. In the past, the food has been excellent. This year I had blackened salmon. It was very dry and overly spicy. The other items ordered were fresh and right on point. Pecan pie was excellent!
Bull Ring is a good Old-Fashioned steak house. The ambiance is typical steakhouse fare. The service was great, as was the food. We split the large porterhouse, which was melt in your mouth good!
