The Bull Ring Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed our dinner very much. The service was excellent. My husband's petite filet was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. My prime rib was excellent. We also ordered two side dishes, a wedge salad and baked potato, which were more than enough for two. We shared a dessert which was oh so good!! Will go back the next time we are in Santa Fe!!
We travel to Santa Fe, NM at least twice a year, in fact our drive is 1,300 miles from our home to the Bull Ring. Always at least twice each visit. The absolute the BEST STEAKS and food anywhere in Santa Fe.
Please don't change anything about your restaurant.
It was our anniversary so we were both excited about going here. I have wanted to go to the bull ring for a while now. We made reservations everything seemed great from the moment we walked in the door well..... it turned bad in a heartbeat. Crudités was very disappointing it looked like something they picked up from sams club and the ranch tasting like hidden valley not homemade at all. We ordered some drinks and the crab cakes for a appetizer it came out within 5 minutes yes 5 minutes we were already thrown off. My wife bit into hers and it was ICE COLD it was still frozen and on top of it there was some frozen nasty looking fruit cocktail. First of all why is a place like this serving frozen anything? We immediately told our waiter he felt the crab cake and was speechless. We left right after that no one even tried to say anything. We went to a place called A Dinner for Two it was Amazing.
We eat here several times a year and enjoy it thoroughly. Our favorite meal is a butterflied filet mignon which we share, creamed spinach, and au gratin potatoes. The decor is what I would describe as pleasant, traditional steakhouse with very comfortable banquette seating. There is a convenient parking garage comped by The Bull Ring and located underground one level below the restaurant. It has convenient elevator access.
Bull ring is a great Santa Fe restaurant and it is off the busy streets, so it is quite and the atmosphere is great. We had the clam chowder which was a special and delicious. We followed up with Steak and Fried Shrimp, and the steak was cooked as ordered. (Medium Rare) For deserts had the Pecan Pie and Chocolate Mousse. Both were very good. Great Service from the waiter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a steakhouse in Santa Fe.
The steak was delicious. If you need a quick break from chiles and tamales and all things amazing about Santa Fe...Bull Ring is a good respite.
Our steaks were great and worth the value. Our sides were so poor. I wish we would have just ordered steaks and called it. Then our dining experience would have been more positive. Again...the steaks are great.
We wanted to enjoy a nice evening with friends, but ended up exhausted from the noise level (a big room with lots of tables and little ambiance). The seating was not very comfortable and the prices were SKY HIGH. A $50 steak without any sides, with only a little bread, celery, radish, and carrots as a start for the table. The steak was tasty, but mine had a lot of fat around it (at least 30%). The noise from the other tables was completely unreasonable - particularly one table, who should have been reseated. There are so many wonderful places to dine in Santa Fe - I would recommend just about any other option.
Service great! Steak had to be sent back to get requested medium and still was basically rare. Expected more from the steamed broccolli which was not seasoned or salted at all (no restaurant value add at all). However, a second chance is definitely in order. The atmosphere and staff were great!
We had a wonderful dinner at The Bullring.
It will be on my list of must dine-out restaurants when visiting Santa Fe. The food and service were terrific. Great steaks, cocktails and side dishes, all well presented. Choose the main dining room for an elegant and classy venue, or tables in the bar area for an exciting vibe. Either way, a great meal awaits.
The steaks we ordered were excellent. Served on hot plates that continued to cook steak and keep it hot for a long time.
Unfortunately we had tables of loud people on either side of our corner booth. So it was very noisy and uncomfortable. There were a lot of empty tables and feel they could have chosen a table for us that wasn't right near these tables (as those people were already seated when we arrived).
Major food disappointment was we had chosen to split a piece of what they called Lemon Tart. However, it seemed to be a pie, that had a dry flavorless crust and hardly any lemon flavor. With the pie crust marks on the bottom, I am almost certain it was a frozen dessert, that they were charging (I believe) $8.00 for. We did not eat more than a few bites, complained about the dessert and they removed it from our bill. Seems they should be able to find some desserts made by local bakeries that were of the same quality caliber of their other food and atmosphere.
My husband and I love to visit Santa Fe and we enjoy eating at the Bull Ring. I had the petit filet, it was excellent, cooked perfectly and well seasoned. My husband has the ribeye, and he said it was excellent also. For sides I ordered a baked sweet potato and my husband ordered a baked potato. I would not recommend this, instead for 2 people you should order 2 sides to share, like the garlic mashed potatoes and a vegetable. Overall it was very good, it's a bit pricey, but always a good choice for eating a perfect steak in Santa Fe.
Very disappointed after hearing that this place would be a great place to take my husband for his birthday. Our server was not very helpful at all. Our drinks from the bar were terrible. Couldn't even drink them. We left them on the table when we finished our dinner and our server never asked why we dint drink them. My halibut was the size of post it sticky note. (Very small for the price) After dinner, our server dint even offer us dessert.
We have been to many popular , chain steakhouses, but this one has topped all of them! The atmosphere was quiet with nice music, and luxurious surroundings to make you feel elegant. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. First we were served a plate of fresh vegetable and dip while we looked over our menu and sipped our cocktails. Then fresh bread and butter arrived. Our salad greens were so crisp, fresh, and sweet tasting. Our steaks were so tasty, tender, and cooked to perfecting without allot of seasoning on them. The vegetables were so fresh and cooked to perfection also. Dessert was absolutely melt in your mouth good. Truly, this was our favorite place we have ever been to for an elegant, wonderful dinner. We visited with the manager on our way out and conveyed our pleasure with the entire evening. She was so kind and appreciated our feedback. We would love to return there some day and hope that they expand their business to other cities. Please go to dine here as you will not be disappointed!
Best dining experience we've had in year. Our server Andy was attentive and efficient. Appropriately friendly. Food was excellent. We had a fillet and a halibut. No question best prepared halibut I've ever hsd.
Will definitely return next trip to Santa Fe. Highly recommend.
