The Bull Ring has been a part of Santa Fe’s Culinary landscape for so long it's hard to think of a time when it wasn't there. The world famous Bull Ring offers all the most popular cuts, ranging in size from the the 8-oz petite filet to an enormous 40-oz porterhouse for two. The Bull Ring prepares steaks in an 1,800 degree grill and serves them on a sizzling hot plate with melted butter. The Bull Ring is also known for their juicy lamb or pork chops, mouthwatering barbecue baby back pork ribs or fresh seafood.
If you are looking for a more casual experience, the lounge is a local favorite, where you can mingle with old friends or make new ones in a Cheers-like atmosphere. The bar serves exceptional pub fare, including the succulent Prime Burger.

The Bull Ring Ratings and Reviews
The moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner of the restaurant of over 40 years, Harry. We are from out of state but he quickly made us feel like family and was very humorous! Secondly, The steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The ambiance is that of a 70’s speak easy, laid back place. Lisa was also the best hostess I have had in a while! If ever back in Santa Fe we will be sure to visit! Thanks again for the food and service!
This is really the one of the consistently great restaurants in Santa Fe. Over the years, the quality and service don't waver. The steaks are the best in town.....in fact, they stand up to the best steaks anywhere in the US. They are perfectly cooked and if not, are undercooked so the diner has some leeway. If ever sent back, they are not overcooked but, as expected, are returned cooked to perfection. Don't know how they do it, but we have never been disappointed at The Bull Ring in our many years of going there. Although it is a long-time favorite for locals, it is always a sure bet for both locals and visitors.
When we know we are going to be in Santa Fe we always make reservations in advance. Driving in from Durango, CO it is our must dining destination. We look forward to the great food, great service and relaxed atmosphere. We are never disappointed and will always tell friends and family to make it their favorite place for dining.
The Bull Ring is simply the best steakhouse in Santa Fe. Beautiful, thick, tender, perfectly cooked steaks. While they have many delicious looking items on their menu I’ve only had steaks. Besides great food the service is excellent. The ambiance is also great. You can converse at your table at a normal level which seems rarely true at restaurants these days. A wonderful dining experience.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. The service was excellent. My husband's petite filet was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. My prime rib was excellent. We also ordered two side dishes, a wedge salad and baked potato, which were more than enough for two. We shared a dessert which was oh so good!! Will go back the next time we are in Santa Fe!!
We travel to Santa Fe, NM at least twice a year, in fact our drive is 1,300 miles from our home to the Bull Ring. Always at least twice each visit. The absolute the BEST STEAKS and food anywhere in Santa Fe.
Please don't change anything about your restaurant.
It was our anniversary so we were both excited about going here. I have wanted to go to the bull ring for a while now. We made reservations everything seemed great from the moment we walked in the door well..... it turned bad in a heartbeat. Crudités was very disappointing it looked like something they picked up from sams club and the ranch tasting like hidden valley not homemade at all. We ordered some drinks and the crab cakes for a appetizer it came out within 5 minutes yes 5 minutes we were already thrown off. My wife bit into hers and it was ICE COLD it was still frozen and on top of it there was some frozen nasty looking fruit cocktail. First of all why is a place like this serving frozen anything? We immediately told our waiter he felt the crab cake and was speechless. We left right after that no one even tried to say anything. We went to a place called A Dinner for Two it was Amazing.
We eat here several times a year and enjoy it thoroughly. Our favorite meal is a butterflied filet mignon which we share, creamed spinach, and au gratin potatoes. The decor is what I would describe as pleasant, traditional steakhouse with very comfortable banquette seating. There is a convenient parking garage comped by The Bull Ring and located underground one level below the restaurant. It has convenient elevator access.
Bull ring is a great Santa Fe restaurant and it is off the busy streets, so it is quite and the atmosphere is great. We had the clam chowder which was a special and delicious. We followed up with Steak and Fried Shrimp, and the steak was cooked as ordered. (Medium Rare) For deserts had the Pecan Pie and Chocolate Mousse. Both were very good. Great Service from the waiter. I would recommend to anyone looking for a steakhouse in Santa Fe.
The steak was delicious. If you need a quick break from chiles and tamales and all things amazing about Santa Fe...Bull Ring is a good respite.
Our steaks were great and worth the value. Our sides were so poor. I wish we would have just ordered steaks and called it. Then our dining experience would have been more positive. Again...the steaks are great.
We wanted to enjoy a nice evening with friends, but ended up exhausted from the noise level (a big room with lots of tables and little ambiance). The seating was not very comfortable and the prices were SKY HIGH. A $50 steak without any sides, with only a little bread, celery, radish, and carrots as a start for the table. The steak was tasty, but mine had a lot of fat around it (at least 30%). The noise from the other tables was completely unreasonable - particularly one table, who should have been reseated. There are so many wonderful places to dine in Santa Fe - I would recommend just about any other option.
Service great! Steak had to be sent back to get requested medium and still was basically rare. Expected more from the steamed broccolli which was not seasoned or salted at all (no restaurant value add at all). However, a second chance is definitely in order. The atmosphere and staff were great!
We had a wonderful dinner at The Bullring.
It will be on my list of must dine-out restaurants when visiting Santa Fe. The food and service were terrific. Great steaks, cocktails and side dishes, all well presented. Choose the main dining room for an elegant and classy venue, or tables in the bar area for an exciting vibe. Either way, a great meal awaits.
The steaks we ordered were excellent. Served on hot plates that continued to cook steak and keep it hot for a long time.
Unfortunately we had tables of loud people on either side of our corner booth. So it was very noisy and uncomfortable. There were a lot of empty tables and feel they could have chosen a table for us that wasn't right near these tables (as those people were already seated when we arrived).
Major food disappointment was we had chosen to split a piece of what they called Lemon Tart. However, it seemed to be a pie, that had a dry flavorless crust and hardly any lemon flavor. With the pie crust marks on the bottom, I am almost certain it was a frozen dessert, that they were charging (I believe) $8.00 for. We did not eat more than a few bites, complained about the dessert and they removed it from our bill. Seems they should be able to find some desserts made by local bakeries that were of the same quality caliber of their other food and atmosphere.
